She helped us feel comfortable and helped me feel beautiful in the last weeks of my pregnancy. The newborn session was a special day for us. Heather came to our home 10 days after she was born and did lifestyle photos of our new family at home. She's very gentle and safe with newborns helping pose them on their terms allowing the babies time to settle in and bed ready for photos. An added bonus was some beautiful pictures she took with our daughter and our dog. The finished product was wonderful! My family even ended up ordering their own albums they were so happy with the photos!

As someone who plans a lot of events, not having to give photography a second thought is completely priceless. If you can snag Brea, use her before you use her peeps, but anyone from the group should work out just fine. Typically getting a hold of her 2-3 weeks before your event is enough time, but book ahead if you want to use her pop-up photo booth services, which I believe are new. I relied upon glowing yelp reviews, when selecting my daughter's wedding photographer got…read morecomplicated. Unfortunately, my life did not get any less complicated. After meeting with a photographer, selecting a package, signing a contract, and setting a date for engagement photos, four months later my daughter discovered, the night before the engagement photos, that the photographer no longer worked for Brea, and somehow had not checked her messages in days. Praise to Brea herself, who stepped in at this critical moment to respond to e-mail notes and phone messages, and make the trip to our humble suburb to take care of the engagement photo session. I rationalized this stumble and recovery, imagining that many small business owners experience similar pains when entrusting work to others and/or taking a break. We experienced poor communication and flawed office procedures, followed by a good save by the boss. Subsequently, my daughter was assigned another photographer and assistant to complete the contract; the team arrived on time, and completed the job. Five weeks later, the results were available for viewing and download. Seven-hundred-plus wedding photos and perhaps 150 engagement photos. A photo booth for guests. In the end, there were approx. 1/3 the number of photos from my son's wedding by another firm last year, but perhaps more time given to editing out the duds, so it might be argued that the quality of these is higher. When I look at the photos, certainly I can see artistic shot framing and good photography skills. I also see a more pronounced worry line in the forehead of the bride's father.
