A typical department store in the heart of Nottingham's square, Debenham's is the one-stop shop for most family needs. With electronics, housewares, perfumes, cosmetics, clothing and shoes, you can do it all here, as long as you don't mind the slightly premium price. My favourite thing about this Debenham's is the Benefit makeup counter. Being a California girl, I prefer Benefit to other cosmetics, and this Benefit counter was just as good. The manager of the Notts Benefit was a really sweet yet efficient pretty lady in her early 20s. I had a budget (boo), but was pretty specific about what I was lookign for -- yet vague enough to need to test nearly every product. You know, a typical idiotic consumer. With tons of efficiency, friendliness and patience, she took me through the range of products I was looking for, offered suggestions but didn't oversell, and left me ultimately with two modest purchases I didn't regret. This Debenham's is quite large, and has a great selection of women's clothing, particularly well stocked on swimsuits and summer clothing in spring (hurrah for ice cream lolly bikinis in style of Katy Perry!). It has a cafe/restaurant on the top floor with decent coffees and cappucinos for the weary credit-card wielder. read more

The Debenhams shop in Nottingham is very 'traditional' and it may be quite surprising for people visiting the city. It is located right in the centre of Nottingham on the Market Square opposite the fountain. I personally believe the shop could do with a major re-vamp as it has started to look very tired in recent years. I do not agree with other reviewers comments that it's like a little Harrods, it's no where near as good. They do offer a wide range of products and very often have attractive sales on that can save you quite a bit of cash. I recommend the homeware department and have picked up a fair few bargains in there over the years. read more

A lot of poeple I have spoken to about this store have been disapointed. I have to say I agree a little because judging by the size of the eagles meadow complex and the usual size of a debenhams store they could have made it bigger. To be honest if you really want a good afternoon spent in a debenhams it would probably be best to go to the one in chester which I would say is ablout 5 times the size. However, I am personally still pleased that we now have a mini version of debenhams in wrexham. Before if you wnated annything designer you had to go into snobby overprices shops like ragazzi. They have beautiful leather jewellery boxes. Loads of handbags, a benefit counter and the whole range of urban decay sparky eyeliners - my personal highlights! read more

Debenhams have good quality stuff, there cosmetic and perfume ranges and other shops inside such as la senza, dorothy perkins, jane norman, bay trading, kooki ect. You can spend a long time looking round here! Good for christmas presents for the family because they have something for everyone. read more

I think Debenhams is a very good department store as they have a good selection of affordable designer clothes such as John Rocha and the like. This is the place to go in the Sales they have some brilliant sales items, and you can get a massive bargain. I get a bit excited in the perfume department and spray myself silly, then on to the jewels, then through to the bags and on upstairs to clothes, clothes and more clothes. Heaven. read more

Debenhams is located right in the heart of Nottingham in the Market Square. It's a large department store with many floors but a very strange layout which doesn't make it easy for the interested shopper to want to browse. The décor is a bit tired looking and it could do with a really good revamp and layout restyle. The only thing that makes this store worth a look in are the sales, the Blue Cross ones especially. You can pick up a designer label at a fraction of the original price then. It's also good for wedding or evening outfits as it stocks these all year round. read more

Great store and great prices. my little sister works here! the summer sales are to die for. fabulous high street fashion at unbelievable prices. I get all my fashion fair makeup here, there's always staff at hand to help you with anything you need. they also do eyebrow threading at £5!!!! read more

This is a brand new store within the new Eagles Meadow Shopping Complex. It is great to now have a Debenhams in Wrexham without having to go into Chester. There are only two floors in this shop but it does stock a good variety and the fit out is great. A great womens section including a great range of handbags and shoes. you coukd find everything you need there,it is a big shop,prices are too high comparing to quality,it has a 2cafe and a restaurant inside.if you like shopping go for it it worth visiting.the interior of building is much better than exterior,I like the perfume section ,they offer a variety of high street perfumes. read more

I like the choice of a lot of different outlets under one roof, great if it's raining! I especially love red herring and wish they had a larger store in nottingham. Debenhams can get a bit confusing as it has lots of twist and turns and if you don't know where you're going it is very confusing. read more

Debenhams is located in the Old Market Square. Its a large department store thats a little higgeldy piggledy,to say the least. You will need to use the instore signs to help you get about. Unless you know exactly where you are going. Then you have to hope that you havent took a wrong turn on the way. I do try to not go into this store as i find that the staff members are not very helpful and are alittle opinionated for my liking. I would rather spend my money where i felt that my custom was valued.The cosmetics staff are rude and very unhelpful. The prices are very high to what you can find in like for like department stores. Its the last store that i will try if i am looking for something. read more

Before I visited Nottingham, I was warned that this was " the worst Debenhams in the country". I should have listened. three of us visiting Nottingham for the archery last Sunday needed a bite of lunch. Debenhams was very handy. There were perhaps 6 people in the restaurant queue when we joined it. We decided to have the soup. It took about 10 minutes to reach the soup counter where we were told they were out of soup (at about 1.15pm) They then said they would make some more. This took half an hour! We were then told that to pay we must join the back of the queue of people buying hot lunches, drinks, snacks etc. We refused and went straight to the till, much to the annoyance of those trying to order meals etc. There was one man in charge of the till also running backwards and forwards getting teas and coffees. What was infuriating was there was another dedicated till in the centre of the restaurant but it was unmanned. Don't go near this place for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant is a badly organised shambles. read more
