My particular counselor has been extremely professional but more importantly very, very helpful to me. One of the many things I appreciate about this business is they have a LOT of counselors to choose from and they work in tandem with their psychiatrists for the best possible treatment options if needed. They have a lot of locations which obviously is helpful and evening hours. I would highly recommend psychbc to anyone looking for counseling for any reason.

His investment in getting paid became a huge issue in my treatment. He ended therapy when I was robbed of my life savings. He was also unable to make the agreement with me that we never discuss the financial aspect of treatment. He stated this is part of private practice. I disagreed. I was willing to stay current on my bills as I always had and to talk with billing as needed. Another family member had issues with her therapist being overly invested in the payments.

Our provider forgot who we were in our second appointment with her and obviously did not look at…read morethe referral or her notes before our session. She failed to take responsibility for her actions and instead had a sarcastic comment about how "we are all human" and frantically tried to figure out who we were without taking any time. Joselyn Vazquez did not value our time. I'm fortunate that my husband buys into therapy and that we will be able to find another therapist, but if your partner is on the fence this unethical treatment can end your marriage. Furthermore, when she did start to "remember" things they were incorrect and she did not complete any housekeeping the first session as we could not join from two different locations (which only happened because she scheduled us on a different date than what we agreed upon in our first session). I reached out to the office. The only communication we have received is asking if we want to reschedule with another therapist. No accountability or action. I have waited a week and a half to hear back.

In trying to find out about a drug prescribed for me by one of the other counselors, I hit a brick wall. Twice I have had a prescription refused by my insurance provider. I have tried to resolve this asking if there is a different Rx the insurance might approve as I can't afford the large out of pocket expense. The counselor who prescribed these is either not in or will not return calls. The office staff person who said she would call back did not call and is not in, nor will the other staff member assist me. She said "I don't want to get involved." It's never a good sign when a mental health agency destroys your mental health with its poor behavior. In addition, the prescribing counselor also ordered a drug that we had just agreed I would stop taking. I had no way to stop the order or to reach the counselor. I had to pay for something I no longer can use. Benhaven Counseling is becoming increasingly useless.
