Deb staged a home listing I had in San Clemente. I compared her to others and my client liked her the most. Her price was also the best. She walked through the house and assessed what was needed. She came back with her workers and a truck load of furniture. Deb recommended a couple of painters to freshen up the interior.The owner's furniture was neatly stacked into the garage and Deb's furnishings were brought inside. The house looked fantastic. It was so good that it sold over asking price with multiple offers. The house was a good house in nice condition but Deb put in the excitement and class. I am convinced her magic touch sold the house sooner for more money. I am only giving a 4 out of 5 star rating. She is so busy that she sometimes was a little late in showing up. I have used Debi for staging for years now!!! She is one of the best and most professional stagers in the industry. Her eye is impeccable. It's amazing how she can walk in to a home and totally transform it. She innately knows exactly what to do to bring out the attributions of a home so a buyer can see themselves living there. Her staging is classy. The furniture she uses is substantial not cheap like we see in some 'staged" homes. She can also take a vacant house or condo and turn it into a home. I've taken over several vacant home listings that didn't sell, got them staged by Debi and they sold!! She also has a great program called a "home manager". It's an ingenious program especially for vacant houses so that someone is living in the home making sure the home is always ready to show and clean. Vacant homes tend to look dilapidated and collect dust so its better for the seller. They'll get more monet for the home. I have had very good experiences when I've used the home manager. They have always kept the home or condo emaculate, and safe for everyone because someone is living there, it's no longer vacant, and they keep it ready for agents to show, lights on ready to go, which I appreciate. Homes always show better when lights are on and everything is in place. So it saves me time having run around to get lights and music on, and I don't have to be a maid before a showing. We used Debi to stage a vacant investment property that we wanted to sell. Debi provides us a quote and offered us a "Home Manager" to offset the costs of her services. We agreed and the terms were that her home manager resides in the property and kept the home in ready to show condition at all time and we would pay her at close of escrow. We turned the home over to her vacant after a professional cleaning. I will say the staging was very nice and received many compliments. I would however add that Debi needs to work on the overall operations of her business and refine her home manager process. We visited the home and the home was dirty and not ready for showings on numerous occasions. Debi was standoffish when told this and repeatedly mentioned we didn't pay her yet(her arrangement, not ours). At move out there was trash left in the garage and the oven was broken requiring services. To sum it up, the staging is nice but may not be worth the additional hassles if dealing with a poorly run operation. Debi's response below is a perfect example of the back and forth and unprofessional behavior we had to deal with during the transaction. Personal attacks and posting an address on public forum are questionable business practices. I have additional texts from her to prove the nightmare we endured. Debi was recommended to me by an agent we were interviewing to list our home with. We were recommended the home manager program as a way to defer costs of the staging as well as make the out of pocket less. All in all, it sounded like a good idea upfront due to the benefits I listed. In the end, the home manager was more of an inconvenience than a benefit to me. There were several occasions where I had to reach out to Debi to have the house cleaned due to the conditions the home manager left it in. We were delighted when the house sold to be done with the entire process. We then received the utility bills for the time the home manager lived there. All utilities bills were 2-3 times the amount of previous bill. This meant the proposed savings of the home manager program was completely offset due to the abuse of my property by the home manager. Staging was nice and added value, but the whole home manager experience was an absolute nightmare. read more
