I had this company patch a large hole in a wall left over from an oversized vent that was about 5…read morefeet tall and 1.5 feet wide. I had no idea what went into fixing it. The owner Rashard assessed the situation and helped me understand what the project what it would look like. My situation was more complex, as the exterior portion required a zoom boom (type of lift). The project was supposed to be straightforward and take 2 days. Multiple problems arose, but outside of CommonWealth Renovations' control. The rental company delivered equipment to the wrong spot, causing long delays the first day work was to begin. Torrential downpour giving less time for them to finish the project. Soft ground causing the zoom boom to sink into the ground, rendering it immovable. The ruts in the ground from zoom boom then needing to be filled with soil. The project went over budget, primarily due to needing to rent the zoom boom for a third day and the cost of soil to fix ruts in the ground. Throughout all these challenges, Rashard and his team worked through the problems and finished the work, even in the pouring rain. Rashard came up with solutions and tried his best to reduce the cost as things piled up. He consistently kept me in the loop, informed me of what they were doing every step of the way, and requested my feedback. The finished product was of good quality and was exactly what I was looking for.

Apparently my description was "out of line" for printing. So here I go. *I was scammed out out over $50,000. *He left us with a broken water supply line. *He broke a main SEWAR line to be repaired later. *He damaged another intake water line which we have not yet been able to find the damage. *He damaged a water tank fill pipe. *He left a destroyed patio deck. *He left mounds of frozen backfill throughout the yard. *He used my bobcat and intentionally terminated (cut) part of the wiring harness.($4,000 repair bill). *He also prefers cash payments without giving invoices. LLOYD HARDER IS SIMPLY FULL OF "IT"!! He took $96,000 for about $50,000 worth of work!!! He took advantage of our family health situation at the time. In Nov (minus teens and twenties temps) I had freezing water lines and sewar lines and holding tanks freezing. There was a 12" open air space below the foundation walls in -20 temps!!! He then pulled out from my project leaving behind trades owing trades over $10,000/$20,000? He started another job. He told me he had no money to continue the job!!!! REALLY!!!??? (He had received well over $90,000 already) On nov8 I fired him and was forced to general contract myself. With the blessed help from the trades my home was tucked in for the winter on dec19. And was to be completed the following spring by my choice of trades. "LLOYD HARDER" IS THE NAME TO STAY AWAY FROM. APPARENTLY HE CHANGES HIS COMPANY NAME AT LEAST ONCE. He preaches about church and family and caring. It's all NOT TO BE BELIEVED!!! He should not be walking on this earth. All Canadian Renovations was the one I went with. they were not the cheapest quote I received, in fact they were the highest of all three - but only by a few dollars. I chose to go with them mostly because of the two owners that showed up for our initial meeting. They were professional, respectful, and put my wife at ease with their humour and witty banter. my wife is a white knuckle renovator and is nervous about everything. After less than five minutes, she was totally at ease. Our kitchen looks fabulous and we spend more time in here than ever and we have even rediscovered our love of cooking! The crew that worked on our project (and there were many of them over the job) were professional, polite, and felt like members of the family - we were sad to see them go on the last day! The attention to detail was evident from all crew members. I don't want to single anyone out, because they were all awesome. Way to go All Canadian! highly recommended!!

When booking the appointment, a week in advance (to adjust work schedule), notified owner what the EXACT issue was. Cracked copper line from the toilet...even double checked that the line would be replaced with PVC pipe. Today, the tech showed up with instructions that toilet was plugged. Owner even argued that it's a plugged line, but was tied up and wanted to inspect himself, to ensure wasn't a plugged toilet! Leaving patch off, and sewer fumes venting into the house. LAST time they were called, on this same issue, he "forgot" and wanted to come the following day. Working people need to take time off work, and one day off work was enough. I, personally, cut out the piece that was visibly cracked, and put a patch on. It's copper. It cracks, and leaks. IT'S NOT A PLUGGED TOILET

In less than 5 mins my phone rang and it was Rocket asking if I needed any help(!). They promised a technician would be over to take a look at our basement drain right away, and he arrived in less than an hour. Dustin was great - professional, friendly, explained the potential issues clearly, and quoted a reasonable cost (avg is about $250-$350 for jobs like this). Turns out there was a blockage between our line and the sewer, and thankfully not too bad of one as the "snake" machine cleared it after only about 12 feet. He was in and out in about 40mins, including a quick test to make sure everything was flowing nicely, replaced the old cap on our access pipe, and my bill came to less than $370 tax in. No mess, no pricey upsells, nor long complicated explanations/stories. Perfect, especially when your problem is something this gross, haha!

We Stand corrected! He was none of these things and left us high and dry, to have to replace our brand new kitchen faucet and hire a plumber to fix all the damage he did in our house and we'll have to do a warranty through Home Depot to repair our leaky shower! We should have known after he had to cancel and reschedule on the very first day he was to start the work here! His excuse seemed legitimate. However, this was one of many times he had to cancel, reschedule or did not return our messages for days and even a week. He installed our brand new kitchen tap with the faucet upside down, and when he went to tighten it after the third time he dropped the set screw pins down the drain. Now we haven't heard for him for 3 weeks and have had to hire a plumber and had to go out and purchase a new faucet as this one could not be tightened without the specific set screw pins. Our shower which he installed in our upstairs bathroom is leaking water on the floor. Thank goodness we can go through Home Depot for warranty for this. The other items that he attempted to repair, were just that, attempts as he apparently did not know what he was doing, and every time he went to fix something there was a new problem that needed to be fixed! Our plumber that we hired also had to fix those problems! It was a comedy of errors, and Matthew just left us high and dry with all of these things that he broke and just abandoned the job, and did not return any of our messages or calls! (AFTER BEING PAID IN FULL)!! I don't normally like to post bad reviews like this but be forewarned if you hire this man expect him to be late, cancel, install things improperly, break things as he's trying to fix them and then leave you high and dry to fix them on your own! We couldn't have been more disappointed, and we tried our best to be accommodating and understanding after every mishap he had! After everything was said and done from paying for the shower install, to labor and parts and then having to replace the kitchen faucet as well as hiring a plumber it was in excess of $1,500.

We had damaged metal entry doors and instead of replacing them, they attempted to straighten them. Because of the warpage, even the extra exterior weatherstrip I had to install wasn't enough to take up the gaps and keep the freezing draft out. So the heating bills are way up and I have to replace the doors anyway. Thank goodness for Yelp because the BBB is so incredibly useless when filing complaints
