My son started PreK part-time and enjoyed it so much that he asked to be in the full day program…read more Thank you to Ms Tiedemann for taking such great care of him and for making learning fun. He's grown so much and has made great friendships with the students and the entire staff. On the outside, the school and parking lot looks small, but the morning drop-off service is very convenient. Happy faces like Ms Diogo and Ms Dietz to receive my child and safely walk him into the school so I don't have to park and unload my daughters. Inside the school, it doesn't feel as small- the space is all used efficiently and classrooms are well organized. Children are taught to use materials properly, respect others, and to always be polite. Never feels chaotic or crowded. Playground is well suited for the kids. Adequate staff to watch them. Shoutout to Mrs Mendez who welcomed my son to the school when he first started. Held him on the playground and comforted him when we first acclimated to "going to school" for the first time. Warm and nurturing. Mrs Morales was one of the first assistants I met. So so sweet and my son tells me how much she helps him around the classroom. My son also asked me to sign up for fastrack kids which is a program during recess where they learn about special topics like economics, geology, arts and crafts. Costs extra, but he seems to enjoy it. Admin Ms Dadaian and Mrs Devine are also good with answering my questions, returning phone calls or emails. The school is expensive (tuition and fees add up), but it is absolutely wonderful. No complaints about the school itself.

My son did not have the greatest first year of preschool at a different school so I was a bit nervous before starting his new school year at Apple Montessori in Morris Plains. However, my worries went away immediately once we started the school year. I have always heard great things about this school and it makes sense why. From the start, we were given a very warm and welcoming introduction from the director. Ms. Rathjens, and assistant director Ms. Yun. Both are very involved with interacting with the kids and greeting them throughout the day. They are attentive and responsive, and my kids feel comfortable around them. My son's preschool teacher, Ms. Kellish, and the teacher assistants, Mrs. Morales and Mrs. Ikram, are caring, supportive, and organized. My son loves going to school and always shares how nice his teachers are to him. He has learned so much and has become more independent in class. They encourage him and it shows. My daughter's toddler room teacher, Mrs. Castano, and the teacher assistants, Ms. Ucles, Mrs. Millar, and Mrs. Charles, are all so patient, nurturing, and gentle. They have helped my daughter transition well to school and never hesitate to reach out in case of anything. I also love how they have food tasting every week. My daughter is constantly singing and dancing at home, and I know it's a result from her thriving at school. It feels relieving to know that my kids are in the best care and I don't have to watch the camera like a hawk to see how they are doing. Any time I check in, I see my kids are learning and playing, and are building their independence. The parent teacher communication and level of care are unmatched. The teachers really put forth effort into all that they do and I really appreciate it all. My only regret is not enrolling my son sooner for his first year of school. Do not hesitate to go for a tour and enroll

But gradually she gained a-lot of confidence and became more expressive. Even though she joined for a short period, the school had a lasting impression on her. I greatly admired the teaching philosophy of the school, and the teachers took great care of our daughter. They were also very nice to us, the parents. At the end of every week, they gave detailed feedback of my daughters progress and what areas she needed to work on. My daughter loved her school and teachers so much that even during weekends she wanted to go to school! The teaching plan included a nice combination of fun play activities with traditional learning. The Alpine Montessori teachers and staff provided a warm and friendly atmosphere for my daughter to take her first steps in her education. The school and her teachers will definitely have a lasting impression on her, and prepare her for the next phase of her education. I would highly recommend Alpine Montessori of Millburn to any parents looking for high quality early stage education and development for kids.

He is very easy to work with. My daughter adores him. You can simply tell he is involved in wanting the best for each child that attends the school. I purchased two books for my daughter from Barnes and Noble. One was a Kindergarten Workbook and the other was a First Grade Workbook. I was planning on using the First Grade Workbook at a later date. I couldn't believe it when my daughter read through the kindergarten workbook and said " mommy this one is just too easy". I was just amazed. I will definitely be back to Alpine to enroll our second child when she is ready. I only wish the school would continue to at least 3rd grade :). Maria G.

It was a great way for me to step back and spend quality time with my baby for an hour a week with no distractions. She liked the song time and playing with all the beautiful toys. I liked getting to know other new parents. But I didn't realize I would learn so much too! I learned how to set up my playroom with toys that would encourage her optimal development. I learned about her different "sensitive periods for development" where she would be especially sensitive to learning different things. As she got older, I learned about how to practice positive discipline. It was all so fascinating and made me feel that whenever I had questions about parenting, I had a place to turn to for answers! Now she's in the toddler classes, and I've never seen a space full of 10 toddlers that is so calm and peaceful, yet so fun! I highly highly recommend these classes for all parents!
