Bryan and Brie at the shop got me my rental gear and we're super friendly and helpful. Upon returning to the shop, and after I caught a few waves successfully, I bought some swag to commemorate the occasion. Don't hesitate! Just book your lesson and you will be happy you did!

My husband rented the life jackets anyways. We were told they were $15 to rent (with a $100 deposit on our credit card). He told us to "bring them back any time, since it was only $15 to rent." .... So, upon bringing them back, he charged us $60. He charged us $15/day per jacket, but failed to state that at all. I don't recommend this business at all. There's absolutely no reason for him to have "forgotten" to tell us it's a daily charge, especially since we asked outright. I get that people need to make a living, but this isn't how you do it folks. I'd give zero stars if I could. It seemed like this wasn't his first time "forgetting" to tell people it was a daily rental. Beware!!

He had all the gear we needed to have a great time, helped us find the right each for the boys (6 and 9) to have a fun and safe time and showed us what we'd needed to have a blast. They took care of everything and notified me via text that my board was ready for pick-up. It just doesn't get any better than that in terms of customer service. Best part; these guys are the type you want to sit over a pizza & beers while swap surfing stories with - they are good "salt of the earth" people. Now I am wanting to treat myself to a new fish also from Al Merrick. I will most certainly be back and I continue to recommend this amazing shop to all my friends. Rest assured these gents will take care of you and all your surf, sup, kayak needs. I've only tapped their surf aspect but I am quite sure they treat everyone with the same honesty, and kindness.

We just dropped in to check it out recently. Grabbed a few ornaments...they do have items outside of Disney, just a very small amount by comparison. As there are many small & pricier style collectibles, much of the items are locked in cabinets...probably smart. Lots of breakables around, so watch your kiddos and elbows. The place feels tight and quite small, doesn't take long to cover (well, unless you ARE there for Disney, in which case you might be there a while). The pricing did seem high on a lot of items, although to be fair I don't exactly have any Disney memorabilia pricing knowledge. They've got a posted sale denoting 50-60% off, depending on payment method. Luckily we had cash so we got a bit more off. I did appreciate them taking extra time to wrap up the breakable ones securely.
