King Georges Pizza wins the prize as the largest, cleanest, best made green salad I have ever purchased for such a small amount. I recall last week buying a more typical salad from an Italian restaurant up the road in Parramatta. It was typical a small plastic container like you see at a take-away ($6). It was limp and weak. This monster salad at King Georges Pizza came in a huge container, and for $8 was literally 3x larger than I am used to. It could be a meal all by itself. It's the quintessential locals pizzeria, the guys here are local born and bred and every time I walk in here I feel warm and fuzzy. Simplicity is key here, the pastas have that home-grown organic feel and taste and the pizzas aren't completely drowned in toppings but compensate with amazing flavour, fresh and superior produce. They do daily in house specials so if you're wanting something specific check what's on the day you visit otherwise pop in and be surprised... You won't be disappointed I promise! My favourite is the Incazzato pizza but I am a chilli fiend, the Salsiccia is also amazing and I've had many time the special pizza and I've yet to leave disappointed. Hubby and I come here at lease once a week for lunch and tonight we tried them out for dinner. Firstly, lunch. Pizzas and Paninis are the focus. They have $5 pizza - lunch size specials which have such soft chewy dough that we just love with fresh ingredients and lots of cheesy goodness on top. We usually end up ordering margherita and hot salami plus a Nutella calzone. The Nutella calzone fresh out of the oven can burn as you just can't wait to eat it but it is so good fresh! They do have some sitting there if you can't wait but you can have them make the pizzas to order. It takes all but 5 minutes most of the time to make the lunchtime size pizzas. Haven't had the chance to try their paninis but they are reasonably priced with it priced based on how many items you want on it. Dinner- this place is pumping at night! We also had the spaghetti marinara which had some clams, mussels, prawn and scallops. Pasta was al dente and had the seafood saltiness to it. Delicious! We couldn't resist having dessert even though we were so full! We chose the Tuscan dessert special as it was something a bit different plus the Tiramisnu. Our usual pizza chef from lunch time sold it to us when we spoke to him earlier in the evening that Christian's wife had made the Tiramisu. The tiramisu was just awesome and I'd come back just for it. Looks like they had some you could take away! The Tuscan dessert had cantuccini (biscotti) and a fig/almond tart which was the tiniest slice I'd ever seen but it was very rich so tiny for a good reason!
