I decided to order with Timp Valley Floral because although there were only two previous reviews, both were 5 stars and some of the other reviews for local florists were downright scary! I ordered the Sweetest Roses bouquet which start at $178.95. I opted for the premium version which bumped it up to $238.95 which is a significant amount in comparison to most of their other bouquets. The picture on the website did not change when you made the selection from Standard, to Deluxe to Premium which was obviously concerning so I made sure to call and order over the phone. I was very clear to the rep that because the cost is significant, I am hoping that the arrangement is much more grand. It delivered on a Friday and although it is a nice bouquet, it is certainly not what I would have expected for over $260.00. I have attached a picture of the standard version as advertised, what was received which is clearly a different product and how they look today, one week later... mostly all dead. When I spoke to Judy she said a week is actually a good amount of time for them to last. I know they don't last forever but they weren't fresh and starting dying within a couple of days. By the way my kids also got their mom a 15 dollar bouquet of daisies, all of which are still alive and look great... When I called today I expressed that a partial (not full) refund is warranted as I would have easily paid $160 for that bouquet. Per Judy, because I was out of the 72 hour guaranty window, they can only offer a $15 discount which frankly doesn't even cover the sales tax. I should mention that this 72 hour window was not disclosed on the delivery email nor is it shown on their "Our Guarantee" section on their site, snapshot also included. I feel Management could have handled this better. Pretty disappointing.

The arrangement was gorgeous and full of beautiful flowers, the lily's filled the room with the prettiest floral smell. Erin, Thanks for…read moreyour response however my point of calling was to let you know that DoorDash does not deliver to intended recipients and dumped the item just in the first set of doors. I also wanted to ask why my information had not been provided on the card I had asked to be completed. I was informed that it wasn't and wanted to know why your company would not think to ask? Also, to let your company know that DoorDash blamed your company and the driver and assumed no responsibility for the items never making it the intended recipient. I was shocked at the defensiveness of your employee! She wanted to shirk any responsibility. While DoorDash should ultimately be responsible pointed out that being aware of the issue which your employee was and stated if I wanted to get it there that I should have used your website that your company is still part of the problem by using DoorDash. Please note that I went off ratings here at yelp to determine a florist. I first found your shop and found it could be delivered through DoorDash. My question still remains how do you send personalized card when not given any info? Had I known that I would have picked them up and delivered myself. I felt you needed to know the problem in using a third party. Then for you to claim that this a first is laughable. I was informed this happens all the time from the hospital staff. I however apologize for my assumption that I thought I was speaking with the owner and noted it as such in my review and was instead speaking to your employee. I did say that I was going to write a review as my recourse so others can be aware of using DoorDash to get flowers to a recipient at a hospital since your employee noted there are no concerns in using DoorDash.

But maybe that's just because I visited in the early winter and who shops a nursery then? In any case, once we made our way inside, it became clear they're making moves to up the adorbs factor and move to be way more than just a pot-em-up nursery. The main retail area here is lovely, with gifts, books, and loads of home decor. They've put some money into this, and while it still needs to be filled out a bit more, you can spend some time cruising here and be happy. From the main area, we made our way to the houseplant section. While there are a lot of expecteds there, I was surprised to see so many of them. We only found a few harder-to-find ferns (something way down the line in the birds nest family) but plenty of those old school ficus. I suppose the ficus sell, but with so many hot new ficus right now, I just was surprised at the quantity of the old schoolers. There are succulents as well, though thankfully not a bajillion. I liked many of the containers, especially the wee ones, and prices there were reasonable. We ended up with three ferns, one of which is now struggling due to a long vacation and a lack of water (my bad) but many of the plants there in the greenhouse needed a good amount of deadheading and some of the poor monstera were flagging, and generally it seems they probably need someone dedicated and diligent in the watering and upkeep. It could stand a little freshening up. I'd like to come back in the warm months to see what kind of trouble I could get into, but I still had a nice time and the other two ferns are going strong; the third has my full faith it will bounce back.
