A sign tells you that the meat is beef and the fat is lamb. Whatever it is, it's an entirely different food from the grayish meat product that you'll find elsewhere. I'd go with the Döner in Brot rather than the durum. The bread is light and crunchy, while the durum is nothing to write home about. Imren is legit. The meat is halal, you won't find alcohol here, and the place is sometimes closed for prayers. (I've eaten at the Neukölln and Schöneberg outlets, which were of equivalent quality).

While I can't comment on the authenticity of the food, I can say without a doubt it is tasty...for the most part. Everything does indeed taste "homey" as every dish is sort of a mis-mash of different vegetables and meats in a consistent sauce. By that I mean most of the dishes have similar sauces a tastes quite similar despite it having different ingredients. The rice is a nicely prepared with fantastic texture and just the right amount of squeakiness to them all the while still soft and pillowy. The chicken is sightly dry but very nicely compensated with the great sauce that it's bathed in. Sadly this meal wasn't quite as memorable as I had hope for. Unlike the Turkish cuisines I have had in the past there wasn't one or more dishes I would recommend of you must order. We got to the place when it just opened, the chef took our order and have us sit outside. number 12 - chicken wrap - this chicken was just crazy, 20 more seconds it's raw, 20 more seconds and it's dry, I don't know how that genius know the temp control that well, but bravo. Seasoning was worth crying over. number 2 - traditional doner - glorious, no sauce to cheapen the perfectly created meat mix, the thin, yet almost crispy wrap was a majestic combo to the texture of protein and carb. number 29 - grilled cheese over salad - forget the usual cheese served in breakfast buffets, this lightly grilled cheese is like eating grilled tofu but with a semi- hard inside, this doesn't ooze out but not hard enough to have to bite down. For my main, I had a spaghetti with fresh garden vegetables. Everything was delicious. The whole place has a great ambiance and the service is very friendly. The rotating menu also has a variety of salads and small plates, which split 50/50 of being more or less expensive than the two-course lunch. A meal for one should fall somewhere between 10-18 EUR.
