    just now New…read moreBrookwood. Just bought Hilltop Apts. first of all they are archaic. No email or text it's door hangers and paper on doors. My situation started 3 weeks ago with another tenant started harassing me was yelling in my window(I am ground level) and said he would be putting up a camera to record me z I reported right away and shared a young mom with minor kids loaded and unloaded her kids there that was a concern. Management would not do anything said was for security which it is not he's in the middle building . Fast forward he has had numerous complaints from other neighbors I made a police report after he dumped his dogs crap in front of my bedroom window and they said would be up to management to handle they couldn't do anything Many emails phone calls and texts and they defend this harasser This morning he had his dog outside my bedroom window intentionally riling up my dog with his dog and I called management and when they finally got back to me defended him again I informed I would be moving out because I do not feel safe with the psycho they are allowing to harass me Oh and they charge too much for crappy apartments

One of the owners is on the Stark County Board of realtors for Pete's sake. Anyways, Meghan helped me and my boyfriend find the absolute most wonderful place for us. Even when we were having troubles with the other property manager she fixed the issues right away. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Meghan, Scott, Denise, and Lenny.     We moved into a beautiful rental home with ease. Not knowing that the house had a horrible rodent…read moreproblem. Also, when we first moved in, we couldn't get a hold of anyone and they wouldn't answer the phone, nor return our calls. Our water was brown. Once the company was made aware of the issue of the rodents, they sent a really good pest company to address the issue and it was successful. However, when we got ready to move out, we took two weeks cleaning the house. Even sweeping the garage, clearing any garbage, washed walls all except one room, my grandchildren had some crayon marks on the walls and carpet stains. Other than that, the house was in the same condition that we received it. Lawrence Realty would not return our deposit, not even a fraction of it. They asked to see the place when we hadn't finish moving out and hadn't cleaned it. Assessed the place based off of that. Gave us a long list of issues that were inaccurate. Our only problem with this was that we didn't record a video of how the place looked. Make sure that when you move out of their properties that you record a video so they cant accuse you of creating damage that was inaccurate. There are some things that are normal wear and tear and those things were not considered. Simple things like a knob on a closet that cost 97 cents at home depot. Be careful with these guys. When we toured the place, Meghan stood outside while we looked around. Afterward, we were very pleased and wanted to rent the place. One of the walls were blue at the time that we moved in, they accused of painting the walls which never happened.

The interactions I've had with the staff has always been very productive and I have received nothing but respect and honesty which makes me feel blessed to do business with them. During a time that I needed it the most, they offered me a sense of community. In my opinion, that's a very important factor when choosing your place of sanctuary. Luckily, Grisez Brothers, Ltd., provided me with the opportunity to rent the end unit in front of a wooded area and I love every minute of it. My apartment may not be in tip-top shape but if I owned a home, it may not be either! Maintenance was responsive and informative on the issues that arouse where I didn't have the skills to resolve on my own. At the end of the day, I feel a sense of security renting from them. If you are in need of a rental unit, please consider giving one of their properties a chance to hopefully exceed your expectations as mine have been! Westgate is providing a service and as a business should be able to make a profit. As the renter, I assume all accountability for anything above normal wear and tear. Unless proven otherwise, I believe I will be treated fair and just when determining whether it's damage or wear and tear.     I rented an apartment from Westgate Management for approximately 4.5 years. I lived in a bottom…read morefloor apartment of Heritage Manor. I was hesitant to write a review, but ultimately decided that others should know what it was like. *Apartments have baseboard heating. My first electric bill was over $300 and I never kept the temp above 68 in the winter. *The a/c unit is a wall unit. It does not keep the back rooms cool. The moisture from the units above me collected into my wall which resulted in my wall being covered in mold and caving in. I had to clean mold out of my unit regularly. The moisture from my a/c and the ones above me collected onto my "patio" making it impossible to sit out there. *When it rained, rain water poured in through the top of my patio door. They had my carpet cleane and fixed the issue, but I know of other renters who had the same problem. *There is NO working ventilation in the bathroom. The paint began to mold and peel off the walls due to all of the collected moisture. Some buildings allow cats, ours did not. We made the hasty decision to rescue a cat that was in a life or death situation. Leslie from the office was extremely nice about it. She provided the option to move into a cat friendly building. We decided to move. These apartments are old and very outdated. I feel that if the problems were fixed properly, it could be a decent place for someone starting out or needing to get back on their feet.
