The apartments were recently redone with beautiful granite countertops and wonderful appliances. Another great perk was the trash shoot on every floor, no need to drag your trash to the basement or anything. They also have a spacious outdoor parking lot and also underground parking. A huge bonus is the cement walls - I never heard a peep from my neighbors the whole year I was there. The building itself is pretty quiet, no kids (probably due to the fact there's only one and two bedrooms) and most times I would walk into the elevator and to my apartment without running into anyone. The population here is a lot of young professionals in their 20's and 30's, as well as some older folks who had been there for awhile. Like I said, it is quiet but the community was so nice, everyone is friendly! And it is in a very safe area, I was nervous to live on my own as a young woman but never once did I feel unsafe here. Flory had also mentioned at one point that they have never had anything stolen, people have lost wallets/purses and yet everything was returned. The only downsides are that there are no in-unit laundry and no pets - two of the reasons that caused me to move out. However, they are currently in the works of redoing the community laundry in the basement and I am sure that will be wonderful once it is finished! Another huge perk here is the staff! Dan from maintenance is extremely kind and able to quickly help you with whatever you need. Flory, the manager, is a total gem. She truly pours her heart and soul into this place and does whatever she can to make all the residents 100% happy. She is always at her desk working on the first floor and whenever I run into her, her face lights up and makes a point to have a meaningful, personal conversation. She remembers every little detail about everyone and simply put - one of the most genuine and kind people I know. These apartments and the building itself are amazing, I would recommend this place to anyone!

If you're a woman that wants to move here I think it's a big mistake. If you're a single man yes, a single man can live here by himself with no family Because it is reasonable to live here but otherwise, if you have a family or you're a woman, please turn around and go the other direction because it's not safe. There's a lot of shooting down here in Akron, Ohio, and you could tell by the people when you walk up past the sidewalk and past them it's could be very scary for a family or a woman don't even go find something else go find somewhere else to live. It's more safe, but if you're a man, you man could probably handle it but otherwise it's definitely a maybe.

Since the landlords don't live on site or nearby, always take before & after pictures of your rooms. Pros - Maintenance responds quickly & takes care of the property: leaks, cleaning, spraying for bugs etc. - At least one resident event is held every month, usually free food/coffee/donuts. - Staff is friendly & helpful, & some live at the apartments too. - Recently, they repainted the hallways & cleaned the carpets in the main hallways. - Dishwashers, washers, & dryers are great - Small quip: if people live above you & open their dishwasher in the middle of a cycle, occasionally you will see leaks from the ceiling. - Trash rooms are emptied almost every day. - Security cameras around the main halls, common rooms, & outside. Cons - If you have problematic roommates, management's attitude is generally one of "sucks to suck". - It would be nice if families were put on the first floor. I had a couple bad months of sleep because of the family that moved in above my apartment. - Computer lounge is outdated (software/OS = 2013, some Macs & Windows desktops) - Printer is not reliable: sometimes no paper or staples, doesn't connect to internet anymore, & scanning/emailing yourself is not much of an option. - It's on Main Street, so when the city has events every couple months, can be difficult to navigate or get to your car. - No covering for cars, yet premium parking is $135/month (within gates) or $90/month for standard (adjacent parking lot) - Management buys passes from company that owns the lot, ABM Parking, who charge $35/month - Won't let you remove a parking pass for the entire year even if you're not using their parking anymore - FYI: Free parking is available from the city underneath the bridge across the street from the apartment - Get a wagon for grocery halls. - You have to provide a 3-month warning about leaving the apartment; otherwise, they will charge you thousands of dollars - Wifi is great but some issues: - First year, wifi was public, which isn't secure & made it difficult to connect devices like an Alexa, HomePod, etc - Second year, they switched it to private per apartment but delegated the password control to one roommate for every apartment - Beds take up a large fraction of space in the bedrooms

I assumed my rent was not going to increase since I heard nothing. My lease expired at the end of June and I continued to pay my regular amount for July. Imagine my surprise when I came back from vacation to a notice that my rent was $150 short because they upped it $150! Management claims that they sent me a letter on April 27 by mail and attached to my door. Having a letter in your computer is not the same as proving you sent it to me ! I explained I never received either and I would not have agreed to paying $1400 a month and would've opted to leave. We are now and he said she said situation with rent. I can't afford and a lease I can't get out of. $150 a month increase after living here one year is a little excessive especially when you don't have proof that I received the notice. If you're going to increase someone's lease that much you should have new paperwork signed! I'm contacting the Housing Authority to see if this is legal Edit: by state law, since they excepted my rent at the old amount during the new lease period, and no new lease was signed, that should be what I'm paying. But I'm not risking eviction or fees, so I'm paying the new amount till I can move out next year.

The first few months were great until they changed management and it all went down hill. The water is turned off 7 times in 2 years for days at a time due to water main breaks. They have planned repairs of this but never notify the residents of when the water will be on/off. At one point the management tried to blame the City of Stow for "increasing the water pressure," however, when I contacted Stow's water department they said that wasn't true. Aside from the major water issues they have, parking is atrocious. If you do not work a 9-5 job, you will not get a parking space anywhere near your apartment. Some residents have multiple vehicle/trailers that NEVER move and management does nothing to stop this. Weekends are the worst because apparently nobody leaves and parking is always filled. If something breaks, the service men come out quickly-- which would be a good thing if they were able to fix it on the first trip out. Management seems to enjoy leaving passive aggressive notes regarding noise and pet waste. However when it comes to actually doing something about these problems they are no where to be found and will not return phone calls. If there is an issue and you need an answer, you literally have to corner them during business hours and hope they aren't on a smoke break to receive an answer. We have lived in numerous apartments in the Akron area and have received better service at apartments half the rent than this place. I would NEVER recommend anyone live here unless they want a hassle.
