Despite their good ratings, I did not have a good experience. First off the regular chai is six dollars for the large... They have a special November dirty chai which I tried and was surprised that it was a full two dollars more. Of course, special prices are not posted anywhere - so beware! Even worse, my drink was watery and weak - especially shocking as a "dirty" chai includes espresso. Based on this experience, I would not try this business again. read more

Found this little gem while wandering in New Oxford. It was so cute from the outside that we had to go in for a beverage and baked good. There were so many choices of muffins and cookies and goodies of all sorts. I had a lemon muffin and my hubs had a peanut butter cream cheese chocolate chip muffin. Both were excellent, if a little dry, because they were cold. The person who served us was cordial and charming. The barista who served me was incredibly kind and generous! She made me a specialty drink with lavender in it and it tasted incredible! She even asked me if the color was correct and served me very efficiently. I had my hands full since I was holding a file folder (I was there for an interview) and she without hesitation asked if I needed a bag! Phenomenal atmosphere and fantastic food and friendly staff! I was there for an interview for a baker position and the manager was very highly qualified and super friendly! When I asked what his favorite baked good here was, he explained in amazing detail and depth how he created it himself and made it his own. How cool!! I loved getting to chat with him and tell him about my experiences with baking, too! Great questions were asked and I loved the way he maintained eye contact and smiled often. It made me feel more relaxed instead of nervous during my interview. - = ~ = - Atmosphere is so cozy and homey, not overwhelming at all! I love the layout of the place and the fact that they have a Gluten Free case! It makes it feel so personal and unique! That lavender iced coffee I mentioned? Fantastic! Not too strong with the lavender flavor and had the perfect amount of ice for a hotter day! I got two doggy cookie biscuits and my grandmothers dog kept begging for more pieces of it! He's a pretty small dog and so we have to feed him bits at a time but I swear he could've eaten the whole thing out of her hand! The peanut butter and Nutella cake was scrumptious too! And very moist and delicious! I love the quiche too, very high crust (arguably one of the best parts, so I'm happy they added more!), and the sausage was super tasty! Thank you! Baked goods galore....but be warned. They are made with the worst possible ingredients. The one person told me there's a stick of margarine in each muffin. Your stomach ache and hemorrhoids will be the indication. I love me some good coffee (they have that) and baked goods, but I really wish they would take care and not use cheap ingredients. Deja Brew is the best coffee place around. Priced in the lower side, they have an amazing range of flavors. I get a lavender vanilla cold brew with oat milk and lavender cold foam. It's exquisite- no matter who makes it. The staff is friendly every single one I've ever encountered are simply delightful. I hope they are compensated well, because they go above and beyond- always. The baked goods are outta site and they have a whole case of vegan/gluten free yums. They are a little pricey for me to enjoy every day, but I do indulge occasionally and it's so worth it. Honestly, I've stopped going anywhere else unless I'm away from the area (and even then I've def gone out of my way) because no one even comes close to their coffee. Doesn't give me the jitters or coffee belly- ever. Idk if it's superior ingredients or what, but I get everything I want from a cup of coffee- rich, robust flavor, that amazing cold foam, a jolt of caffeine- but none of the stuff you get with a lot of other coffee. Very high priced for what it is, staff is not overly friendly. The place used to be better about a year and a half ago.

Employees are nice and the coffee, tea and pastries are great! The inside is decorated very nicely and the merchandise is well designed.

I am grateful that there are coffee shops in town, especially when they have bakeries! I was excited about selection when I viewed the case, and appreciated the creative fall- themed drink specials. My drink was fine, nor exactly what I expected, but it was good enough for a return visit. The muffin I chose however, was dry. Like hard crumbly dry in places. I still would give it another try despite this. But the vibe in general was not overly welcoming. The gal who helped didn't know the products, and the guy started making our first drink without asking if we had anything else to order. It was a service fail, since I believe the attendants should be glad customers are there and want to make our experience great. These folks didn't seem to truly care about that. read more

I used to love this place. It's a 45 minute drive from my house but it had the best selection of allergen free baked goods. Each baked good was labeled with every allergen. They didn't carry soy milk for coffee just because there were a lot of people with soy allergies. I'm pretty sure management has changed because nothing is labeled anymore, there is soy in all the gluten free goods and the girl at the counter was zero helpful and dismissed me. The register showed a sign up for their frequent visitors club, but she clicked through and didn't let me sign up. This was my absolute favorite place to go on a Sunday afternoon, but I can't say I'll be back anytime soon. Using cheap ingredients while advertising allergen free menu is not cool. read more

Really great service ! Lots of gluten free baked goods ! Also has nondairy options like soy and almond milk . The downside was that they did not have a simple syrup/ sugar syrup type of thing to sweeten my ice latte .They have a lot of flavored syrups but no simple syrup. So I had to add the vanilla syrup to make my iced latte sweet. The snickerdoodle was super dry and not good but the pumpkin muffin was good. read more

Friday found me traveling north through Pennsylvania up U.S. 15 North and then over to U.S. 30 East - on my way to King of Prussia. I stopped in New Oxford, PA for an upgrade to the caffeine levels in my bloodstream. I had seen this place last year on my way home from the same festival - but did not stop. The place is very quaint. homey, and countrified - in a very good way! New Oxford is small town America! I ordered a double shot Cappuccino - to drink there. The girl working the counter made my drink and served up in this cool ceramic mug (see the attached pix). The drink seemed like it was more in between a Cappuccino and a Latte - there was more liquid than there should have been for a Cappuccino. Having said that, even though it was not exactly what I had ordered, it was delicious! It had quite the head of foam on it as well. I plunked myself down at a table, cracked open my MacBook Pro, checked e-mail, and relaxed for a few minutes and enjoyed my beverage. I went back over to the counter to ask for a spoon - as I wanted to scoop out all of the espresso-tainted foam at the bottom and slurp it down! Cool place! read more
