I had a tummy tuck years ago and recently got my naval pierced at another parlor less than a year ago. It was so crooked and so shallow even the smallest barbell looked huge, so I took it out. I went into DEJA VU to see if it was possible to pierce my naval correctly. I was tolls to talk to Steve. I went back on Saturday and met Steve. He was so kind and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. Pierced my septum and belly button laying down!!! My septum was pierced wrong and I had to get it taken out, but my belly button was fine. I recommend going somewhere else where the people know how to pierce, because a nose piercing while laying down??? I had a consultation at another shop and it was through my cartilage. I woke up in extreme pain and discomfort every day and couldnt move my piercing at all. it was sad to take out but it was a lesson learned. read more

I came here to get my seconds pierced and I got a little nervous after seeing the reviews! I had already paid when I decided to check in on Yelp, so I decided to still go with it. I had a great experience. The man piercing was extremely professional and efficient. It's been two months and my piercings healed nicely. Cons: They didn't have a wide range of jewelry. I wish there was more information on how you can order something from somewhere else ahead of time. You have to wear the same earrings for 8 weeks, so having something you don't love is kind of a bummer. My piercings might be slightly misaligned which could be for numerous reasons. It's honestly so negligible and both ears look great, but I could see this driving somebody crazy who is OCD. I also have some weird AF small ears, so considering that... I think he did great. Also, he had me approve the placing before he pierced and he had me check them out after. It looked perfect at the time and I only noticed it when pairing with certain earrings... so again, idk, it could be so many things (like hell, maybe it's my firsts that I've had since I was four?!). All in all, I'd go back and I probably will for another ear piercing or two. read more

I bought a gift certificate for my granddaughter for Christmas. the girl filled it out wrong. put it expired in December instead of next year. I kept the receipt thank goodness! but we went in to have the pier done! no one can do piercings! they will not let her use the certificate for Jewelry or give her her money back she can only use it for piercing, but they don't have anyone to do piercings how ridiculous I definitely do not recommend this place, so disappointed, wasted money for my granddaughter, and my money read more

I got a few piercings there. My nose my belly and my Christiana. If you go here ONLY get nose or ear piercing. That is all they should be qualified to do. If you see Travis as the piercer RUN. He mutilated me. My belly and Christiana were so deep in the tissue that I had to get it re done. It was very painful to fix as well. And he put a naval ring in my Christiana (which is done with an L bar). The two ladies that work there are the only ones I would trust. They were very upset with his work and did their best to fix it. Please just go to a real professional. Bear from legacy tattoo is the best! In the picture the top hol is where he did it. I have been officially pierced by 3 different piercers and have nothing but great respect for all of them. They all did a fantastic job. I was very nervous when I got my industrial and was surprised how little pain it was. I went in for my daith and Travis did such a great job. There was a little confusion on a gift card but Kayla made it right. And she just did my other daith. She was extremely sweet and professional. I highly recommend this place...! We went to Unhinged tattoo today because we knew things were wrong with our piercings. They had used a jewelers for her nose that was WAY too big for an actual nose ring and was terrible quality. My belly piercing and nipple piercings were all terribly crooked and not right AND they pay more expensive than any other place in the area! -01627373/10, this place was terrible. DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE. My sister got her nose pierced here despite me trying to get her not to. When I asked if they were APP members, they claimed they were. We left to grab my sister's birth certificate to prove her identity and age and I checked on the APP website to find that they were, in fact, not members. I went back with my sister, confronted them with this and asked them to prove they were members of APP, which led to the piercer going to the back and coming back to confess that they used to be members, but aren't anymore because they get their jewelry from Metal Mafia or something, which I assume is an unsafe supplier. I confirmed this when my sister disregarded that fact and decided to get pierced anyways. I went into the room they pierced her in with her and saw that there was an expired certificate of membership that they were still displaying. They then gave her HORRIBLE advice about how to clean her piercing, which I told her to completely disregard. I am going to take her to an actual APP member to get her checked out because she made such a bad decision to be pierced there. It took this confrontation in order for them to own up to not being members and I am concerned that they are falsely claiming to be members to other people. Do not trust their advice when it comes to anything, from jewelry to aftercare, as it does not match up with what legitimate professionals agree to do. Go to SafePiercing.org to find an actual APP member who can pierce you safely! It's not worth the risk! read more

Went in to get my navel pierced and asked a lot of questions about other body jewelry types since I have a lot of body piercings. The lady at the desk seemed really friendly and knowledgeable, she was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. My navel piercing cost $55 which is the cheapest I found in the area. The guy that pierced it was also really nice and professional and did a great job. The last 2x I had it pierced (somewhere else) it was crooked. This guy pierced it straight and I couldn't be happier. I give 4 stars because I spoke to one of the tattoo guys, I think his name was Jr about covering up another tattoo and he made it seem almost impossible for anything I was requesting. He said he will work on a drawing and call me back now almost 2-3 weeks later and I still haven't heard from him. Later I heard that their tattoo people are fairly new so maybe this guy wasn't as experienced to handle a decent coverup. I just wish he was honest and maybe recommended someone else since he couldn't do it. I didn't like how he said he will call me back and had me waiting for an update. I recommend this place for piercings but not for tattoos. read more

This used to be a nice shop to go into, not so much anymore. The little girl at the front is rude and pretentious; even though she clearly has no reason to be. They've gotten rid of all the interesting merchandise in exchange for overpriced d-bag gear like Metal Mulisha and Fox. I was told everything changed eight years ago when the new owners took over, but I know it wasn't like that just a few years ago. The girl who was filling me in was probably 12 at the time though, so I suppose I can forgive her mistake. The attitude and unfriendly atmosphere, however, is a real turn off. I went in to buy something, but decided I didn't want to give a business that treats it's customers like that my money. read more

AWFUL!!! Let me count the ways this nose piercing went wrong: 1) The stud was way to long, with the stud continuing to hit my septum and get caught all the time there was no way it would heal. When I called them they just said that is what we do for swelling...It stuck out my nose almost a 1/2 inch and still hit my septum. After two months with it not healing and being painful even when I spoke. I went to another reputable shop and they could not believe the stud that was used. 2) Bad cleaning tips and lack there of. All I was told was to scrub it once a day and use saline to clean it. Again bad advice!!! With all of this I have done a lot of research and realize I should have done this prior to getting the piercing. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Take the time to find a good piercer that knows what they are doing. Once I switched out the stud it stopped hurting that same day and began to heal correctly and looks great. If I would have listened to them and left that horrible stud in for the 3-6 months who knows how horrible my nose would look. read more

I highly do not recommend Deja Vu. I've gotten two piercings done here. They may be nice at the time you're getting it done but they're not very friendly if you go back in with any questions. They will do a piercing for you but then expect you to be educated on piercings already or to just figure it out for yourself. They don't care if you need more information or not. I went back in to get a certificate showing when I got my piercing and that it was done in a clean shop with sterile equipment and a sterile needle. They didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for one and they were very rude while I was waiting for it. I only needed it to be able to donate plasma because it had been less than a year since I got my piercings done. I also wanted to buy new jewelry for my piercings but was told that I couldn't since I had used jewelry bought somewhere else. When getting my piercings done I was never told that I wouldn't be able to buy jewelry from them if I used jewelry from anywhere else. It would have been pretty simple for them to tell me at the time of getting my piercings done that they wanted to only use jewelry bought in their shop. They treated me like I was an idiot. I will not go back to them ever again. I will only get piercings done from someone that truly cares about what they're doing. I'll also never get a tattoo here. I couldn't imagine getting a tattoo somewhere where they don't even care about the piercings they do. I'll happily go somewhere else. I'd prefer to go somewhere that cares about their clients and will work with them to make sure they're happy, not somewhere that only cares about getting your money. read more

Wish I could give them less than one star. I got a small script - one word, incredibly easy, pretty small. The place itself is disgusting and the tattoo artist was eating while he prepared everything and completely ignored me while he talked to a friend of his that was hanging out in the shop (not another artist or employee). When it came to the tattoo itself, he dug in with the machine waaaay too hard and when I mentioned it, he ignored me and said it was my nerves (though I have multiple tattoos and know what it should feel like). I left grossed out, and what do you know - within a few days, the tattoo blew out and what was supposed to be tiny lining turned into an unreadable blob. My experience at Deja Vu was great from beginning to end. The girl that took my information was kind and Travis was amazing! I have already been recommending him to anyone who asks about my piercings. I got daith piercing to help with my migraines. I have had chronic pain for over 20 years, since the piercing I have been pain free. It is hard to believe, I almost don't know what to do with myself. As I was leaving the girl that checked me in stopped me to ask how it went and showed genuine concern. GO HERE FOR YOUR DAITH PEIRCINGS! They are trained how to do it right. Go with a migraine if you can, it will help Travis better pin point the exact location that the piercing should go. read more

I think Travis was awesome he did my piercing and he was awesome and made me relax. Give him 5 stars. The shop its self, I give 1 star. I called to ask them if they had their 78 dollar deal going and they said yes for today only, when I got there they said it ended at 6 pm, but they never said that it expired at a certain time. Then a few days later my hard ware fell out and the piercer had just had surgery and wasn't able to lift his arms, but yet he was working on someone in the back and he was lifting his arms. Now I understand he went through surgery just recently, but I could have laid down so he didn't have to lift his arms. I am having pain (do to migraines) but they wouldn't help me out. I got the feeling that they would only work on the people who would be paying, but the people who had to get hardware back in (i don't know if they charge for that, I don't think they do), but my impression was unless you pay they won't work on you. I give these guys zero stars. Because, I paid in full for a tattoo and I was kicked out of the mall for mixing my prescriptions. I called them and they gave me the answer that they couldn't give me my tat. So I asked for a refund and I was denied! They could have at least given my money back. They are a bunch of thieves. Honestly they could of at least given my money back on good faith. I will never go there again and if someone asks me about them, I will tell them to pass on that.
