Earlier this week I called the salon to see if they had any openings and they didn't until later in the week which was fine. I originally yelped salons around me because I'm new to the area. I walked in and was greeted by my stylist. Let me just say this was HANDS DOWN the best hair appointment I have ever been to. I was extremely skeptical on cutting my hair short and going from dark brown to a lighter color. But katelynn made me feel right at home. Melia gave me a really good hair cut today. I called this am and was able to get an appointment at 1 pm (awesome). I just move to Northern Nevada and had no idea where to go. I have longish hair and the last two inches were really dried out. Melia listened to what I wanted, understood and did a really good job. Her price doesn't shock your bank account. Thanks Melia I have an appointment with the esthetician Darcia in a couple of weeks. We are going to begin a series of treatments to remove dark spots on my face. Very nice salon. Sarah colored and cut my hair. She did a great job. Problem is she never remembers you when you come back and doesn't remember what she did to your hair. I had an appointment on the 17th. She texted me to reschedule to the 10th. I went in for my appointment and she had no idea who I was or why I was there. She forgot to write down the appointment. Other times she couldn't find her appointment book. Sorry, I need better service than that! read more

I had my hair cut by Elizabeth. As a male who likes to keep my hair on the longer side, I asked for someone who could give me a scissor cut. I was referred to Elizabeth, and she did exactly as I asked. She kept it long but managed to eliminate some of the bulk from my rat's nest COVID hairdo. After three days, I'm happy with the results. I'd never been to De Ja Vu before but felt the store was clean, the stations were far enough apart to allow for social distancing, and the staff wore masks, which was reassuring. Elizabeth is very nice, a good conversationalist, gave me a great shampoo, and had a price for me that was slightly below the advertised price for a men's haircut. read more

My son and I went at 5pm to get his hair cut before his tournament because the sign said closed at 6pm. He was very excited because there wasn't a line. However, the elderly hair stylist with a short cut and glasses very rudely told us no because it was Saturday and she wanted to go home. I was confused because the sign said 6pm but she was nasty in her tone yet again and said she was going home early. My son who is 9 asked why she wasn't polite and how do I answer that? I told her to please change the hours if she refuses to work during the business hours. Will never even consider going here again! read more

I called to make a hair appointment to get a trim and my eye brows done. they couldn't get me in that day but they got me in just a couple days later. I made the appointment with Kelse. I'm from a really small town where everybody knows everybody and I had been going to the same hair dresser for years. when I moved here with my husband who's in the military, I was nervous to try new nail salons, hair salons, etc. Kelse talked to me the whole time and made me feel very comfortable. my hair needed quite a bit taken off of it, which made me nervous. but it looked awesome when it was done. if you're new in the area or you're just looking for a new hair dresser, I would definitely recommend you going here! Kelse's amazing, but judging by the other reviews it seems like the others are amazing as well. all around GREAT experience! read more

This salon smells so bad inside - couldn't breathe from all the toxic chemicals. Don't know if they do a lot of perms or straightening but they have zero ventilation. Seems very unhealthy for employees and I would never go back. read more

I came and got a men's haircut from Alicia Prouty. It was one of the best haircuts I have gotten in a long time, and I live in SF so that's saying a lot! She is an expert at her craft, and I had so much fun speaking with her. I can't remember the last time I had a hair stylist take there time, and do an amazing job! I was a four-year, regular customer of Kelse, in fact, I was one of the people who took a chance on a kid just getting started in her career. The last six months, I started getting not the high quality hair cuts she used to give me. I'm not a big money maker for her, just a simple cut and bang trim, no color, no fancy cuts for my thin, baby fine hair. In the last six months, my appointments got changed at the last minute, the cuts were uneven and my hair wouldn't go under on one side, as it should have. Now, I've found out why, she was not correctly undercutting my hair on one side. My last apt with her, I had a 10:00 apt, got stuck behind a truck driving 20 miles under the speed limit, so I arrived six (6) minutes late to which Kelse announced, that she couldn't do my hair because it would make her late for her 10:30 apt, as she was prepping her tin foil for the next apt.. I explained I got stuck behind a big truck, which was why I arrived at 10:06 and my cuts take 15 mins, 20 at the most. Her response, "I can't make my 10:30 apt wait," as she kept ripping the tin foil strips. Nothing like telling a long-standing client how unimportant they are. So, if you want to be treated disrespectfully, go to Kelse. In my opinion, if you respect yourself go somewhere else, there are lots of other stylists in our small town. I don't know anything about any of the other stylists or their services, in the salon, but if the treatment I've received over the last six months is indicative of the entire salon, I would recommend finding someplace else. read more
