I have fine, slightly curly,thinning hair. Perry is an excellent hair cutter and manages to make my skimpy locks look gorgeous. Cassie, my pedicure specialist, is very careful with me. I am diabetic and must be cautious about accidental cuts on my feet. I am pampered with great care. Julie is my permanent eyebrow technician. I get compliments on my eyebrows, all thanks to her. Hairdresser Terili I do not recommend. 1st time I saw her she didnt quite listen to me but my hair turned pretty good. She put a nice brown in but she took out all the blonde. I was trying to find a contrast. 2nd time she stripped my hair of the brown I told her I loved. Left me washed out. No apologies or offer to re-do it. She treated me poorly in response. She spends too much gossiping and bath mouthing other people including the owner. She's not focused, books too many clients for what she is able to handle. She sent one guy home to come back the following week and had another hairdresser work on one of her customers. Not a whole lot of professionalism with Terili. read more

I had a pedicure with Heidi. Please look at the photos I shared. They were taken when I got home after spending 1 hour, 10 minutes in her chair. This debacle cost $45. No polish, no filing, no cleaning under my toenails. I finally had to call time on this horrible mess and left. I showed the receptionist what was done and she could not believe it. I sent a message to the business email and I have yet to receive a reply. I also asked that the owner give me a call, and again, I am still waiting for him/her to reach out. I was so disgusted with what Heidi did to me that I went first thing the next morning to have a professional do my pedicure. Please beware that Heidi has zero skill, professionalism, attention to detail, and charges a crazy amount for a pedicure. She also takes personal phone calls while working on a client. I will not be returning to Paradise as this was a complete and utter disaster. read more

I've gone here a few times. My sister has been pretty good friends with Jason, so I decided to come with her often to get our hair done. My first experience was eh, since my hairstylist was very late. As for my recent experience, a different hairstylist cut my hair way shorter than I anticipated and took twice the amount of time provided. I was upset at first, but I ended up loving the change of having short hair. I would recommend Jason, he has done amazing things to my sister's hair! Pricing is about the same as regular hair salons. Location can be tricky, it's pretty hidden. It is also a half piecing store, so cool! The theme they got going on is Alice in Wonderland, which is super cute. read more

Professional make-up services? You bet. I took 5 kids- ages 3 through 7 to the Kryolan make-up bar. I wanted to have their faces painted with sugar skull masks to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos. Zack Hames was patient, creative, and is in the right profession. Zack practices his craft well. The rest of the staff were also friendly and helpful. I have tried on four separate occasions to get in on a Friday evening or Saturday and been told that they have not openings. My friend was visiting from out of town and we both purchased Groupons for 60 minute European Facials by Christy Gray. The first two times I called to make an appt, I didn't get an answer so I messaged them on Facebook. Starr was very helpful and set up the appointments for my specified date. I'm glad I made them in advance; Christy didn't have any openings closer than two weeks out! I'm assuming it's because her Groupon is so popular, so if you're planning on visiting make sure you call ahead to check availability. When we first checked in, there was nobody at the desk. We weren't really sure where to go so we hung around for a minute and waited. When the receptionist returned, she pointed us in the right direction and we headed upstairs to the waiting area where we met Christy. My friend went first while I hung out in the waiting area. It was very quaint; not much going on. It is a large spa/salon but it was kind of bland, at least the parts we saw. No matter---we weren't there for the decor. When it came time for my turn, Christy took me into her room and had me dress down. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. Very personable, which I liked. The conversation wasn't forced or awkward. This was a first experience so I'm not sure how to rate the facial itself, but I thought it was very nice! My skin felt excellent the rest of the day and I noticed my acne calming down through the weekend. Christy was also good at listening to my skin concerns and giving me direction on which products to use. I'll definitely be back just for her! read more

I had scheduled a hair cut appointment with Ashley Rodriguez via text message a month in advance for an event that I was going to in the evening. Upon arrival to the salon (ive never been here before) I was not greeted when I walked in, I waited a few min before a woman came to the front and answered the ringing phone first. After the phone call, she then greeted me and I told her who I was here to see for my 2:30 appt. she checked me in on the computer and was very rude when I asked where the seating area was. She just pointed.. so I had to walk around the find the lounge area which is in the back, not visible from the check in counter. I saw the woman walk back and notify Ashley that I was here. I sat in the waiting area for almost 45minutes without any interaction with salon staff. I asked the woman at the counter if Ashley was running behind or what was going on.. she went to check and came. back and told me that Ashley had no showed me because my appointment was "at 12:30". This was incorrect, I showed her the text conversation with Ashley where we scheduled it for 2:30. All the woman said was "oh sorry" after reading our messages. I asked why she didn't tell me my appointment was scheduled for the wrong time when I checked in or why she didn't say anything to me even though she knew I was waiting back there for a long time. She passed by me several times while I was waiting. She said "i don't know, sorry." I was frustrated at this point as I had taken time off of work early and arranged child care for this appointment. I asked if Ashley was going to squeeze me in and she said "no she doesn't have anything today." I then asked to speak with Ashley so we could sort out what happened. The woman refused to let me go back to speak with her because she was "in the middle of highlights with a client." I left very frustrated as my event was in a couple of hours.. I had to scurry around town to find a salon that could fit me in very last minute. I then texted Ashley and expressed my frustration and pointed out to her that my appointment was at 2:30. I never heard back from Ashley. A few days later, I called to speak with a manager in regards to my experience. A gentleman answered the phone and stated that he was the manager. I took a few minutes to vent and explain what happened to him. All he had to say was "yes I understand." I told him he should speak with Ashley regarding the poor customer service along with the rude receptionist. He agreed and said "sorry but if you read our reviews, we are a very liked in town." He didn't care one bit about my experience and I'm not sure how this man is a "manager." I managed a spa/salon for almost 4 years and would've never let something like this slide with my employees. I'm very upset and disappointed with my experience and the lack of care from all employees ive interacted with. I will not be going back and do not recommend this salon to anyone. Especially Ashley Rodriguez. Very poor/immature customer service. read more

So for awhile now i have been really tired of my hair, my hair is naturally black and i usually just throw it up in a bun because i was over my dry boring hair so i was originally going to come in for a color .. well first i should start off as i am not from Nevada or this area I'm from San Francisco i came out here for a weekend trip to my grandparents house, my grandma had told me about Paradise Salon Spa so since I've been wanting something new done with my hair she had brought me here and let me say it was the BEST decision i have ever made !! As i was saying i came in for a color but changed my mind and got a perm instead i have natural curl/wavy hair but i wanted my hair to have a more defined curl so the process took about 3 hours but the experience was relaxing and comfortable i must say ! The owner Perry is the one that did my perm very nice guy and definitely knows what he is doing ! I showed him a few pictures of how i wanted my hair to look and i was soooo amazed i mean like beyooond amazed at how identical it looked to the picture not many stylist i feel can just look at a picture and make you look like how you want so if you want someone who knows what there doing and that you can trust i HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here TRUST ME you will not regret it they have excellent services and a lot to offer here ! The prices are worth it !! I have been looking for a salt water indoor pool to swim laps for years! My massage therapist told me to check out Paradise Salon Spa. My husband and I went to see the facility and Starr took us for a great tour of the place. She explained everything about the salt water pool and the classes. I went today for a great 55 minute swim. Starr put a divider in the pool so I'd have my own lane so I can do laps. The place is wonderful. They care about health and people! I'm hooked! The entire staff is helpful and lovely! In some way, I'm kinda grateful for my hair getting "colored" copper orange by a colorist at another salon because it led me to finding Perry. When I went to Sally's hair supply, frantic about correcting the orange, the employee told me to look no further than Perry, "the best colorist in Nevada". I was intrigued-- "the best"? So, I had to see for myself. And she was totally right. Perry's skill is apparent: when I told my friends that I wanted to go blonde, they mentioned how it would take me 4 trips to the salon to get my pitch black, asian hair to go blonde. Yet, they don't know Perry. Shot 1. Blonde. Boom! And that, my friends, is why I drive the 4 hours from the SF bay area back to Reno just to get my hair done by Perry. I just don't trust anyone else. Just got a massage from Lisa, so good! She makes you feel comfortable and at ease. I had a couple fractures in my back early this year and she was gentile where she needed to be. Her energy is great, she listens to you and your body, and she takes pride in her work. Perry is the absolute best. I live in San Jose and work in Carson. Perry is better than anyone I gone to in San Jose, Los Gatos, Campbell ; the places that you would think would have very high level of expertise. He is great at color, cuts and truly cares about what he is doing and always does an excellent job. I always leave the salon very happy about my hair. My hair cut and color is professionally excellent, love the nail and pedicure service, and I've done exercise classes in the wonderful, heated, therapy pool.
