Was a great club for many years but I ultimately left due to manager Mike's rudeness and the rudeness of some of the dancers... granted after I gave them so many years as a high paying super loyal customer. I'm much happier now at Rick's Cabaret at 300 S 3rd St, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Managers there treat you with respect and many of the girls there also left DejaVU because of Mike. I went to go check this place out last night. It wasn't bad. The girls were cute, and they kept an active main stage going without long lulls in the action. I had several girls approach me... and while they weren't extremely chatty, they weren't super "high-pressure guilting you into a dance or they're going to make you feel bad" type of thing either. They had a complimentary hot dog buffet. The big issue I had, was when I left. I got to my car, and I had a salad I decided to eat before I got on the road. I was about 3/4 the way through it, (this was about 6-10mins later) and a parking lot attendant "security" guy came up to my window. I rolled town the window, and he felt the need to tell me "we're closed". I'm thinking, "yeah I know, I was just in there.", and may have said something to that effect. I told him I was just eating a salad. I didn't want him to think I was sitting there thinking I was going to try to go back in or something. He might have said something like, "yeah you have to move along". Or something like that. Now realize, at this point the parking lot was still almost full. Maybe 5 or 6 cars were gone out of the whole lot. So he walks away, and I quickly finish my salad, and I'm throwing the container in my little trash in the car and I look over... and here's this same bloke at my window again. I roll it down and he's got an attitude and says something like "I told you you have to go." I felt VERY singled out and HARASSED. I said something like, "yeah, I know. I was just finishing my salad. There's still like a full parking lot. You guys just closed." And he's like, "I can't leave until you go, you know what I mean?" And I'm like, "yeah, the club just closed and there's still all these cars here." And then he says, "yeah, those are mine." I got irritated. Was he off his rocker?... So, I asked him, "You own all these cars?" And then he said something like, "I've got them taken care of." And I'm like, "okay well if you're going to act like this, I'm writing a Yelp review." I took a picture to prove how FULL the parking lot was, still. THEN, he gets on the phone or radio or whatever to call "backup" as I'm snapping a picture of the parking lot. Instead of him simply apologizing or something. What an overreactive RUDE way to treat a guest. After all, they charged like 10 dollars "cover" and 14 dollars for a water "required beverage purchase" simply to get INTO the club to begin with, and I even tipped the friendly hot dog guy a couple bucks for the hot dog... and ironically, if the parking lot attendant hadn't bothered to walk up a second time, I would've been driving out in the next 30 seconds, but his rude obnoxious second interruption cost us both more time. I took the picture 15 mins after they closed -- so, it would've been about 14 mins after they closed (or less, if he hadn't bothered me the first time) to eat my salad and leave. Even as I was leaving, I counted the parking lot situation, and there had been about 24 cars still there, including mine, and about 6 empty spaces. Every time I have been there I have been drug as the sober cab. I always want to run away screaming. If you take the time to look around and not at the trashy women there. You will notice Its dirty, the game room hasn't been updated in 10 years. There is scum dripping off the walls. If you have the chance to go to the smoking lounge outside (I don't smoke but I was drug by the same friend) its a little wood walled shack outside with 3 video camera's torn cloth chairs and trash talking strippers. If you are a guy and think the girls are hot just go out and see them smoke and listen to them talk about their kids at home and all the nasty problems they have. If you go here because you are a sober cab, eat something before you go because the pop has something wrong with it and will make you ill to your gut. Deja Vu gets a three in my book I've only been to one other strip club but I went to this one with my girlfriend and her friend so the sleaze factor was a little easier for me. The cover was pretty hefty and the drinks were non-alcoholic and pricey, 9$ for a soda thats refillable. I could talk trash about the girls but I only noted two that looked really young and she was very petite too. The oldest one looked like she was maybe 26 at best so if there are old ones that I didn't see kudos for the cover up. They have a range of girls from slightly chubby to petite though only two black and no asians on the day I was there. The girls were pretty upfront with at least me and my two ladies I was with asking if I or the girls wanted a lap dance etc. The place has a V.I.P area and a game room. If its your birthday you get 'destroyed' on stage via lap dance of many girls. Once again I give it a three it wasn't horrible but it wasn't great and the prices were nothing to sneeze at. read more

Great place! Got their right as it opened today and had an amazing first time at this type of club. They do cater to 18+ as they don't serve alcohol so perfect for me. One bad thing was that their ATM has a $10 fee. I'm used to ATM fees, but my bank had a deal where ATMS with the star symbol don't have a bank fee, but the place still charged $10 per transaction despite me spending all that money at their establishment in addition to the $18 entrance fee. If that additional ATM fee wasn't there I would give it 5 stars. read more

Best strip joint in the Minneapolis area. I have been there twice, spending about $350 each time. The cover charge was $9 to get in the door, and another $9 for a drink. I was pleasantly surprised on my last visit, that I was given a free refill of my Desani bottled water. As soon as I walked in a very hot dancer came up to me, and immediately asked if I'd like a $100 VIP dance on a 6 song special . I accepted this expensive dance, and also accepted the waitresses offer that I buy the girl a drink, (though this drink was way overpriced at $14 and I felt I should have been warned about the price before being offered this.) So I went up to the third floor VIP. The normal VIP is 4 songs, though the "6-songs-special" felt quite short, so the "special" was more of a gimmick than a real deal, I felt a little cheated, but not to worry, This is much cheaper than Choice Gentleman's club down the street where you pay $200 for the same 15 minutes, (however at the Choice VIP, you are allowed to touch the girls a little in the VIP beds, which may be worth it for some people) . After a couple mediocre lap dances with a couple different girls, I went out for a smoke at the wonderful heated smoking patio. The heat is very nice, and the atmosphere outside is relaxed without the loud music that's inside. At this point the girl who I had done the VIP dance with earlier came and sat on my lap and smoked a cigarette, and talked with me. I consider this excellent customer service, because first of all her smoking was really hot, and she did not ask for any more dances at this point. I felt like she was giving me extra attention and extra time, which I really enjoyed a lot. I did another VIP dance with another girl; I choose her for a VIP dance because in our lap dance, her mileage was way above average I felt, and she was a good dancer. However, once upstairs, which she did give me an exceptional dance physically, emotionally she wasn't "present" to me. I feel for $100 I should have more of her attention and energy. While she gave above average physical contact, she was quite emotionless and bored. I hate this. The first girl I did VIP with, while her dancing was not as good, she talked with me, and took a real interest in me, even talking to me extra off the clock; I learned my lesson once again, that if you choose to take a girl to the VIP, make sure she really seems interested in doing it. don't just take the hottest girl if she doesn't seem into you, or you have zero chemistry. HORRIBLE MANAGER here is the letter that I sent to corporate and never got a response back Hi my name is Tim, I attended the minneapolis location on 1/28/11. It was a special occasion as my nephew just graduated USMC boot camp and was on 10 days leave. I thought that it would be very appropriate to bring him and his friends to your club and get him on stage. I approached the dj booth and began to explain why we were there. The gentleman(i later found out that he was the location manager) interupted me and proceeded to tell me how he does not care who he is or why he is there, he was just sick of"all these assholes trying to get there buddy on the stage". His tone, demeanor and body language all indicated that I was out of line for even making such a request. Before I could even respond one of the entertainers jumped in and said to the manager" come on he is military we want him on the stage" He then gave her a look and she immediatly turned and walked away. I told him politley that I was not there to cause any problems and It was no big deal. I returned and went back to the table. As soon as all my friends returned from getting lap dances, I told them what happened and we all agreed to leave immediatly. Looking back on what happened I suppose he thought I was asking for a free be. I was not nor did I ever imply that I was. He did not ever even attempt to discuss money or the policy for stage appearence. I was more than willing to pay for the service and had already taken up the collection from everyone in my party as we have always done in the past. It has been a ritual to bring fresh marines to the Vu as you have a wonderful club but I also told the guys not to cast stones yet as it is ritual to bring people there. AVOID THIS PLACE!! AVOID THIS PLACE! I made the mistake of coming here again while in Minnesota (thankfully I also went to King of Diamonds as well) and I regret wasting my time and money immensely. The dancers are hit or miss on following the protocol of an all-nude club. At one point five dancers in a row didn't even attempt to get fully nude and overall about half of them didn't even consider it. What upsets me the most is the "manager" that I said something to last time was there and didn't bat an eye at the lack of effort. He didn't do anything to fix it, neither did the DJ. I used to tell everyone that if they are in Minnesota they have to check out this place, now in employee everyone to avoid this place like the plague. One thing I like about the Vu is that they keep the stage going to entertain the customers even when there is only a few people there, other clubs let the girls just sit around until things get really busy. as far as the girls.. I would say usually 75% of them are worth looking at, not many perfect 10s but a lot of above average looking girls. compared to other clubs, Deja vu usually has more girls working at a time except during day shift, so you usually have a decent variety going on. Most of the girls working at this club are very to the point as far as wanting to make money and getting you to a couch or bed dance. There is not as much of the girls hanging out and just having casual conversations with guys as some other clubs I have been to. In times past there was a problem with girls being rude or overly pushy, not so much any more, most of the time the girls seem a bit more tactful and take rejection of a dance offer better than a few years ago it seems to me. there is no alcohol at the club, but Deja Vu also owns "the office" next door, you can freely go back and forth between the two. In addition to alcohol, the food at the office is actually good, though be it a bit on the pricey side. you can get a stamp on your hand and then come back from anywhere the same day and not have to worry about paying cover again. Generally, the quality of the lap and bed dances done by most of the girls is not as great as at some of the other clubs I have been to, but then again, better than some as well, but that varies a lot from girl to girl as you might expect, there are a few who do know how to give a good dance at the vu. the second flow vip is a good value comparatively speaking: to get there you just need to buy 3 regular priced dances (20 a song so 60 total) compare that to other clubs which can charge as much as 150 or more for 15 minutes. That said, there is a no touching rule (the girls touch you, but you can't feel them up) which is more strictly held to than at some other places. the overall atmosphere is average. not the best looking or cleanest place but not totally filthy or low class looking either. They have improved the smoking lounge in recent years, but it is also smaller now. no more game room either, as these spaces where used to create "the office" bar and grill. The combo of the cover charge and drink is a bit on the high side ($19 or so) but factor in that you can leave and come back, free parking in the back, and the drinks are unlimited and include bottled water and it kind of evens out. read more

Paid the entry fee never having been to a strip club before and not knowing what to expect. Ordered a coke for 12 dollars with UNLIMITED refills. Sat down watched a few girls dance. Filtered through my emails found an offer for a free audible book opened the link and started purchase. Mind you I have a combat injury so I'm partially deaf and it's very difficult to hear anything when there is a lot of background noise. Everything seemed fine. Then I see the third dancer that entered the stage point at me, I thought she wanted me to come over. I smiled and finished my purchase and locked my phone to pay attention to the girl who I thought wanted my attention. Then I see her say something to me but can't make it out, and she turns and says something to someone else. A girl comes up and asks if I want a dance I politely decline. What a bunch of haters - there is a reason this place has been around for years. It's the best in the city. (for single guys anyway) We take our Team MVPs and new rookies/recruits here every season and it never disappoints. The door and drink charge puts a hit on your wallet but you can usually find free passes are random spots. The stage show is meeeeeh, the thirsty customers sitting on sniffers row is more entertaining than the girls sometimes - but if you want stage shows go check out the other joints in town. If you are trying to get your junk rubbed on from a gyrating dancer in a private booth or bed while Motley Crue blasts - then this is pure heaven. Most girls have daddy or boyfriend issues so it's a fun psychological study while they jam there fake breasts caked with sweet smelling stripper powder in your face.
