Me and my wonderful piercer at Deja Vu!

They were nice, very friendly. Professional, I think my piercers name was Joe Ellis, he is a manager. He was very knowledgeable. The young lady at the desk was very helpful. I got 2 dermal piercings. I can't wait to go back!

I got my nose pierced this past Sunday and as of today the jewelry is not visible. I got an opinion from a local piercer in Greensboro. She stated that the bar was too short and that the jewel was not big enough. I called the shop and explained to them the issue I was having and they told me to come in and get a longer bar. I explained to them that I didn't have confidence in them. I asked for my money back and the said "you paid to have piercing done and now you want your money back"? I said that now that I am gonna have to have someone fix it yes. But then he appeared to be confused lol. However, the back and forth shouldn't have been. So I told him keep the money and I will just post about it. One would think of some people tend to swell or bleed more than others they would choose a bar that would allow for the potential swelling. Oh nay nay! In all honesty...my experience was less than and for the 50 buck plus the ten dollar tip....y'all really need to reevaluate how you handle people.

I went to get my nose pierced on a whim on New Year's Day. I didn't really know what to expect and there wasn't information offered. I was surprised when the piercing caused my nose to begin bleeding on the inside and the outside (my only experience with piercings have been my ears and my tongue, neither of which bled). When I mentioned how unexpected the bleeding was to my piercer, Joe, he told me that some people bleed and some don't. He cleans up my face from the blood that dripped down, handed me a piece of paper for piercing care, which didn't nose piercings specifically, and sent me on my way. I to the next shop over and my nose is full on bleeding again so I go to the restroom to get some tissue and see if I can get the bleeding to stop. It wouldn't stop after 15 minutes so my friend suggested we go back to Deja Vu to see if they might be able to help me to get it to stop bleeding again. When I showed back up, the woman at the counter told me that my nose isn't really bleeding that badly and I should just not touch it. My piercer came from around the corner and when I asked if there was something I could do to get it to stop bleeding, he said, "Well, it wasn't bleeding when you left!" He was kind enough to give me a handful of Q-Tips before ushering me out the door. My nose bled for 5 hours. It's definitely not their fault that I'm a bleeder, but they were not even slightly interested in being helpful about my bleeding.

I was looking through Deja Vu's reviews and noticed that the they were a lot lower than I believe they should be. I went to Deja Vu about 9 months ago to get my first three cartilage piercings. I was very nervous because I have an extremely LOW pain tolerance. When I walked in I told Adrian what I wanted but that I didn't know if I was going to be able to handle getting them all done at once. He was very kind and understanding and told me that we could do one and if I felt like I could handle getting the rest we could continue. He really eased my anxiety about the whole situation and did an AMAZING job!! They barely even hurt (and this is coming from someone who cries when she has to get a flu shot). I had a great experience and will be coming back for the rest of the piercings I want. I have also had to get my earrings switched multiple l times (for plays and sports) and joe switched them the more recently. My ears had just gotten infected because of the type of earrings I had them put in the last time (I got them from amazon not Deja Vu). Joe saw this and was very careful to make sure they would not hurt more. He also gave me recommendations for places I could get the clear earrings I needed at a MUCH better quality. He was very helpful and made good small talk!!

My septum healed very well. I still need to see him so I can change my ring(just bc I can't get the ball off) lol. Adrian did very well.

I got my septum pierced here in February. I don't remember any pain. Lol. I felt no pain at all. I would and will be going back here for more piercings.

At the recommendation of close friends, I took my daughter to Deja Vu to see Tony for her first tattoo when she was 18. She picked a small, simple tattoo in honor of her deceased grandfather. We were more then impressed with how it turned out. She has been back multiple times and Tony has continued to exceed all expectations. I had him add life to a drab tattoo that I had and he did the same for my aunt. I can't say enough about how happy we have been with our experiences!

Got infected cause they used wrong jewelry. Had to get it taken out

Would not recommend anyone to get a tattoo done here. Staff is unprofessional and I was treated extremely poorly as a paying customer.

Awesome place! We had Sarah do our couples tattoos and she is amazing! The vibe is very cool and…read morethe shop is all women. Super clean! Everyone is so nice. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure!!

I have debated a lot in the past few hours about whether or not I should leave a review and have…read morecome to the conclusion that it is the right thing to do in order to prevent others from having the same experience I did. My friend and I went to Tattoo Therapy today around 1pm inquiring about walk in availability. We were told there was only one artist working today but that she could fit us in. There was one person ahead of us, who was getting an extremely simple tattoo and somehow we still waited for over an hour. No big deal, it happens. When we did end up going to the back there were immediate red flags but we chose to give the artist the benefit of the doubt, my friend's tattoo was finished after about an hour and looked decent, I however, can not say the same for mine. I sat in the chair for upwards of two hours for a less than sub par tattoo, the artist clearly knew she had effed up and spent most of this time trying to fix and cover up very obvious errors. All of the lines are shaky, they are also uneven in width, and in some places the stencil was very clearly not even being followed. Upon leaving the shop, I was not even close to happy with the work I had just gotten done, but was not initially planning on leaving any type of review. That is, until I found the artist on instagram and found out she is an apprentice and has only been officially licensed for about four months, information that was not disclosed to us whatsoever, she mentioned towards the end of the session that she had only been tattooing for a little less than a year, but at that point, clearly, since it was nearing the end, it was too late to do anything with that information. She also continually repeated that it would be ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for me to come back in for a touch up... If you are having to assume that immediately upon healing your work will need any type of alteration, then something isn't right.Honestly I am most disappointed with the fact that we were extremely (and seemingly intentionally) mislead, as someone who has participated in a tattoo apprenticeship before this entire situation was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Had we been properly informed of the skill level and experience of the artist to begin with, we would have had the opportunity to make our own decision based on the information provided. Everyone involved should have been straightforward about the fact that the piece I asked for was not something that was part of the artist's skill set, and probably wouldn't turn out the way I wanted. Customer satisfaction is clearly not the main priority of this business if this behavior is deemed acceptable. If you do still insist on getting a tattoo from here, do NOT get it from Charity. She is an apprentice but that information is NOT disclosed to you. Her line work is not acceptable at all. She is very inconsistent and cannot follow a simple stencil. I understand that the art of tattooing is difficult, but there is no reason she should even be allowed to tattoo on real human skin at this point in her learning process, especially without properly informing clients of her level of skill and experience. It is beyond reckless for the owners to allow this (below) subpar work in their place of business, especially at the price point of an experienced professional. I will allow grace for her still being an apprentice, but good God. For something that is permanently etched into your skin, you would think the owners would have enough care and concern to put someone on the floor who is equipped for the task. This isn't a hobby you can just pick up one day, you can't afford to make mistakes on a PERMANENT tattoo. I am extremely upset and disappointed, and honestly am unsure if this tattoo can even be salvaged by someone more experienced, I am upset that I wasted my time and money, but most of all that I will have to look at this tattoo on my body for the rest of my life.
