The tattoos are great and always have been very clean hence his father was a dr so he knows how to keep things sterile. The piercer Josh always verifies that the piercing is where you want and is very friendly and calm when it comes to helping soothe nerves. LONG REVIEW BUT PLEASE READ: Do not, and I repeat DO NOT... take yourself, a friend, your child, or…read moreanyone to get an ear piercing or any kind of piercing for that matter at claire's. This review is not to slander friendly's claire's or it's employees, or any claire's for that matter. However, this is to bring awareness. I went to get a lobe piercing at claire's roughly two weeks ago. Pretty mild piercing if you ask me. I knew claire's was known for providing ear piercings and I've seen everyone from infants to older people getting them done there. The first week of having my piercing, things went as normal, I was using THEIR solution, and thought my ears were healing. The start of week two I noticed a little bit of clearish/opaque discharge around the piercing but again, thought nothing of it, Piercings are known to leak and get crusty as they are healing! later into the week things got worse, I noticed some swelling in the tissue right behind my ear kind of close to my jaws, I also noticed my piercings felt a lot more painful than they had before. I woke up one morning and noticed my left ear was in a lot of pain. When I looked in the mirror my earring was not even visible anymore. My ear literally started embedding the jewelry. I went to a legitimate piercer as soon as I could. She told me that if I had waited a few days later to come in, my piercings would have had to been surgically removed due to complete embedding and I would have gotten a very serious infection. After she removed my earrings, she showed me my earring holes and they are shredded due to the jewelry being embedded. She said it will take some time but eventually they will heal. PLEASE CONTINUE: these are the red flags I experienced that shouldn't be ignored! 1. DO NOT GET PIERCED WITH A GUN (it's just blunt trauma to your ear, and it creates iconsistent hole sizes that might not be suitable for jewelry.) if you or your child are not old enough to get pierced professionally, maybe reconsider if you/they need one at all! 2. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR: Trying to avoid spending a little extra for quality jewelry and service was the wrong move. The employee who again is not a professional piercer. She is a claire's employee... could not even get the back to stay on tight, so she had to keep fidgeting with my ear to ensure the earring was secure. (It in fact was night because it fell out that night...) the jewelry isn't great quality, and the cleaning solution they give you is terrible. If you do decide to get pierced at claires anyways... 3. PAY ATTENTION TO EXTREME DISCOMFORT: Yes, you may be sore a few days post piercing. Yes, you may notice a little bit of discharge. Both are normal. However, if you are noticing that it is very painful to touch, it's burning/warm, and your piercing is leaking a more yellowish discharge and bloody, please do not ignore, this could be evident of an infection. 4. PAY ATTENTION TO SWELLING IN FACE/JAWBONE AREA: I noticed days after my piercing that my jawbone felt puffy and tight. I thought this may be a result of my earring back poking the area while I'm sleeping. WRONG, these were in fact my lymph nodes becoming inflammed due to rising infection. 5. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO UNFAMILIAR SENSATIONS IN FACE/HEAD REGIONS: What made me urgently leave work early to go straight to a professional piercer is because I started getting these waves of *static* like sensations that would flush my face and head, coupled with the throbbing of my ear. I would also feel a slight pins and needle/static sensation in my jaw as well. This is literally another sign of infection. Infections in this region are particularly serious because it could spread to other parts like your mouth, neck, HEAD. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Luckily I got my earrings taken out just in time before infection really kicked in. But if you notice any of these things, and continue to wait it out, but then feel feverish, tired, or sick, I URGE YOU TO GO SEE A DOCTOR ASAP. If you read all of this, amazing! I'm sorry for it's length, but it is so important to make people aware of the risk associated with getting piercings from anyone/where that isn't a trained professional using a sterilized needle.

I texted her the morning of my appointment and she literally said "I was meaning to text you but I have to reschedule our appointment I'm sick" keep in mind I'm already ready, I'm about to head over there and she hit me with that. I was so angry because I had already sent my $175 deposit. Keep in mind before I sent my deposit she NEVER mentioned anything about a non refundable deposit. I never signed anything. So I was basically forced to make an appointment with her. Keep in mind also this was going on for 3 months. Within those 3 months she would ignore me every single time I texted her about an opening or any available appointments she has. I WOULD ALWAYS HAVE TO TEXT HER FIRST. She would neverrrr text me first at all. She left me on read every single time I messaged her. I have proof , I have screenshots and everything. I would have to tag her in posts on Facebook in order for her to text me back. And she wonders why I had an attitude with her and why I was so angry... ma'am you ignored me for 3 months straight putting me at the bottom of you priority list EVEN THO SHE CANCELLED ON ME. So I don't understand why she'd expect me to be so happy texting her. All this could've been avoided if she literally sent me back my 175 deposit back. She sent me back 125 which I'm glad she did at least it's some of my money back but she refused to send me that other $50 cause supposedly it's the time she took to draw out my picture even tho she NEVER showed me any type of sketch of my tattoo even before we started going back and forth and she still refused to show me proof of my sketch so that's how I know she's a LIAR AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOESNT DESERVE TO CALL HERSELF A TATTOO ARTIST. She's literally the most difficult person I've ever had to deal with in my life. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

But this was such a lovely surprise! The receptionist upfront was super sweet and helpful showing me all the pieces that I could chose from for the tragus area. I decided to go with a cute flower it's like a really pretty light blue to match with the other earrings I have in my ear already. The gentleman that help me did the earring change, was super chill and quick also. The price was $40 for the ring and changing it. Hubby did tip him also why not? He did a great job and was very quick with it. I will for sure we back to change my other tragus on my left side Thank you so much for an awesome experience!
