I told them to stop but they wanted the mo ey so bad .. my mom came and told them to stop ! she said she would charge for the wash! then let me leave with half hair in black sticky gel!!! these people are rude!!!!! and then had the nerve to be acting like they were praying in the other room but rude and tried to hold me hostage why my mom went to get her credit card from the car . I guess they thought that we were not going to pay for thwm washing my hair .. which again I left with tons of black gel in my hair! them people do not kno me what your talking about only money !!! and then there mean and rude!!!! and they talk about you while your sitting there and amongst themelves, that s so rude , disrespectful and just ungrateful. people come to your shop to get serviced and you have a problem with them. When I was in his chair it was all about me he knew exactly what I wanted and did his thing. I told the hairdresser I would like my hair lightened and he suggested a balayage to me. I agreed and he lightened my hair with bleach. The process was really nice the first time. People were polite and I left happy.. at first. When I went home, I looked deeper into my hair, near my roots, and found that there were patches of bleach where the brush layed. I called back the next day to ask for a retouch, which they were polite again and said to come in on Friday. I came Friday afternoon and explained how it didn't look light enough for a balayage and that there were spots unblended. They told me thats how it was supposed to look, but they agreed to "retouch" it for me. They took more bleach to my hair to the root and left me to sit for 25 minutes. My virgin hair bleached twice within two days. When we washed off the bleach, I was placed under an air dryer. My hair wasn't even dry when I left the salon. They left it wet. I went home to dry it and I was so upset to see what they have done. It was so dry, patchy, streaky, spotty, and just in general ruined. I cried looking in my mirror. I trusted this "50-year" salon to treat my hair well and they left me with more hair to cut. We called the owner and visited the store, and they argued with us that they wouldn't give a refund. They implied that it was my fault my hair came out the way that it did, and that they didn't charge me for a retouch to fix my hair. They argued with us and yelled at us in their salon; real "professional". Real professionals do not blame their clients for a result the professionals created. It is sad to think that the owner found more offense in someone asking for a refund rather than finding offense in letting someone leave their salon like this. They can take my $160, but they will never take my respect. Leaving a client crying from a store and rejoicing over money earned is something to be ashamed of.

Instead my undercut had tuffs of hair left in spots, my hair was cut into the shape of a helmet (front and back dramatically shorter than sides), none of the layers were blended and the right side is almost 2 inches longer than the left. I have been going to the Orlo for my hair since I was a teenager. I have stopped going as often in the last 5 yrs or so do due more upsetting haircuts than good ones I will be going to a Salon to have this corrected as best as possible.

The service also wasn't particularly fast, based on my other experiences with similar shops, but it wasn't excessively long, so I was fine with that aspect. . Overall, I wasn't wowed. I think it's a fine shop for straightforward styles, but if you want something unique or of a very specific quality, I'd caution you to look elsewhere.

I didn't have any of the scabbing that most people described after their sessions, and the redness went away within 30 minutes! I looked completely normal and was able to go out with my friends without makeup on the same day. Did I also mention that I didn't need any numbing cream? With my previous electrologist, numbing cream was an absolute must for me because I'd tear up from the pain. I definitely did not need it here. Also, her office was extremely clean and well maintained -- I was the only person there and I felt comfortable especially during COVID.
