I might be jumping the gun on this 5-star review, as I've only planted the veggies plants I got from Dekalb Procude about a month ago. Still, at this point, the health of these plants are probably fully in my hands. What I like about Dekalb? Solid selection at low prices when it comes to produce and gardening supplies. I like their $1/$2 fruit/veggie bucket deals, especially for veggies I might be using that day. Beyond those "specials", they offer fresh produce cheaper than any local supermarket. They also have plants, soil, and other odds and ends for your garden as well. They aren't Lowes/Home Depot in the selection department, but again they beat their low prices. I'm sure the staff is willing to share advice. Honestly, I've only asked a handful of questions, but have always gotten answers. They are friendly and even in these COVID times they always seem to be smiling. Overall, worth a visit. read more

Called about purchasing 30 small pumpkins for an event at my work, within 30 minutes they not only had the pumpkins ready they had thrown in a couple extra for a great price! Will be using them for future purchases! read more

If you ask me, Dekalb Produce has the best produce in the tri-state area. Everything is beyond fresh, the staff is friendly (and handsome!), and the produce selection is is out of this world. Not to mention, they've always got a wide range of Christmas trees to choose from. Shopping local couldn't be more enjoyable. read more

This place has been around for as long as I can remember, and I still stop by often due to the very good prices and nice selection. Its your "normal" produce selection, but the prices are often much lower than what you will find at a grocery store. On the flipside much of the stock is in a "eat it today or tomorrow" state, but depending on your shopping habits that isn't a bad thing. They also have their own sauces and dressings (the salad dressings are great), and the owner and his son are always friendly. Gotta love the vintage Rocky posters and pinups that are randomly strewn about too. Worth stopping by, especially since it is right next to Pudge's. read more

Great quality produce and very reasonable prices. This is my go to for any of my fruits and veggies. Joe and Pat are great guys and they will direct you to what is fresh. They also have a great selection of flowers/herbs and mulch. In the winter they sell Christmas trees. I forgot how much I like this place. For the last several...er, at least ten...years I've been lazy and bought my produce from the grocery store, but when I had to stop at Dekalb Produce for a specific errand two weeks ago, I was once again blown away by their quality and fair prices. I don't get the impression that the vegetables and fruits are on their last legs; actually, they seem pretty fresh. I ate a delicious minneola orange last night from DP, and then an orange at midnight. (In contrast, a place like Produce Junction in Phoenixville is pretty hit or miss, because they don't let you pick out the produce yourself in most cases and sometimes things like berries really do have to be consumed the same day.) Not the case at Dekalb Produce. In the last few weeks I've been back several times, and will keep coming back. Btw, the young guy who checked us out on Friday evening, April 5, was beyond professional--and he had a great, friendly way with the usual customers (and even with this prodigal daughter). Family Run and few like it left. This is one of those places where you can see the generations in action. Get to know the employees, they are all from the same family and they are very good to their costumers. Feel free to ask them for something they don't have. They'll find it, and if they can't they'll be as disappointed as you. They have the same selection as any big chain and the prices are usually more reasonable. They cater to everyone, they even carry a selection they call "the dollar table" here you can find baskets for a DOLLAR, filled with items that could be sold full price elsewhere. This selection can be perfect for a variety things. I like it when they have tomatoes on "the dollar table," just a little soft, but excellent for my sauce. I've really enjoyed my years of shopping there and I plan to continue shopping to see the next generation and what this current one does with this business. read more

The two guys that own this place are genuinely good people. Always helpful, knowledgeable and honest about what they have. The selection is good. You won't find the prices quite as cheap as a Produce Junction but you also won't stand in line for 25 mins. The dollar table has helped the wife and I put together many last minute meals with baskets of onions, peppers and the like. I think what makes this place shine is that the grocery store produce is always insanely expensive (3.99 for Honeycrisp Apples?) That was at both Whole Foods and Shoprite while her they were $1.49-2.49 depending on season. They supply a lot of the restaurants in the area as well which is a great testament to the quality of their offerings and relationships with their customers. Ship here confidently. Great tiny little shop if you need some fresh fruits/veggies and/or live plants for your garden! Prices are really cheap and a bargain for some items! Very convenient if you just need a few things instead of going to a super market. Quick grocery shopping! read more

Love this place for its fresh veggies, fruits and deals. They also have seasonal goodness like pumpkins, Christmas trees, and flowers. I like to visit in the spring to buy annuals and herbs for my garden. Dudes working there are friendly . They were able to help me when I needed to buy produce wholesale for an event I was having. I had not yet tried this produce market yet, but I wanted to compare it to the rest in the area. Not a terrible place, but it was a very small "store" with a lack of a selection. I was not able to find any noticable deals that were better than the grocery store, but the staff was nice and helpful. For an establishment of their size, I think that the prices could be better and the quality of the fruit could be higher also. But hey, thats just my two cents! read more

I love this place!! I heard great things about produce junction so I figured I'd give this place a try. I bought 4 apples, a head of broccoli, 5 avocados, bananas, bag of cherries, Brussel sprouts and 5 other items, totaling 4 huge bags for $26. It's so inexpensive that I rather take two trips to go food shopping, just to save a ton here. The fruit and vegetables are always fresh, the staff is super nice and friendly. This place is the greatest for fresh well cared for fruit and veggies. The seasonal flowers and the Winter Xmas trees are great. Just asked them for Orange colored poinsettias that I saw there on my last trip. Oh, also have fresh local eggs reasonably priced! Phyllis read more
