This place is amazing. It has done so much for me and helped me to learn to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your sould, with all your mind and with all your strength." (Matthew 22:37 NIV) like I had never before. They also taught me: "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters" (1 John 3:16 NIV) Jesus Christ is my Savior. I accepted Jesus into my heart through Journey and decided to get baptized in May of 2023. I joined the Riptide Worship Team and am playing as the guitarist/vocalist on April 23, 2023 (Aka my 13th birthday). There is no greater honor than to worship the Lord Jesus Christ and lead others to worship the Lord Jesus Christ. I love Jesus and I am learning to share Him with others. I have invited my best friend (formerly Jehova's Witness) to Church and even some non believers. I have also invited my boy best friends. The one that came was a christian already but there were some things he has never seen before, like the Stations of the Cross. The Stations of the Cross happened around Easter 2023. They were lovely and I loved the connections from the stations to your own life. Leaving your burdens on the cross as Jesus intended. If you are wondering if you should attend Journey the answer is yes yes a thousand times yes. Shoutout to my former Riptide leader Josh and my current leader, Gary! You guys rock!

This Church offers discipleship classes which helps us to understand what it means to relate and to connect to God in a patient way and involving way. No church is perfect. But they do care for the "unchurched"... In other words maybe you didn't grow up attending church. They just accept you and they allow you to grow the way God allows it . They just opened a new Elementary School for the children and they support sending kids to summer camp with scholarships.

It's held in the Legacy International Center in Mission Valley and the facility is incredible. From the moment you step foot on the property you will be welcomed with a sincere passion. The people are so inviting and not that fake "churchy" kind of thing, it's authentic. The worship team was powerful, the preaching is challenging in the best way and I love going to a church that has a goal to see our faith in God grow. The Kid's team is great. They greet every child before the parents and I love that. The rooms are clean and there are plenty of people in each one to take care of the kids. It's a newer church but the future is bright. LGBT? Welcome home. Straight? come on in. All races. all creeds. All the broken. All those healing. All faiths. All people. Welcome Home... Love always wins. I find that the bad reviews for this church are people who most likely don't truly understand what it is like to be thrown out of church again and again. What it's like to be mocked constantly your entire life... from childhood to adulthood. The purpose of this church is to help people heal from the trauma of religion first and life second. To slowly repair your broken heart to heal. To break the chains that hold us down and to teach the true love of Jesus... The love that Mr and Mrs reviewer think we deserve, by further downtrodding on us... is not the love that the Bible teaches. This healing in itself is a slow process. Especially when you have to continually hear the rhetoric from Politicians, Christian extremists and hateful reviews. Is repentance taught? It is.. maybe not enough, but in a place of healing... nobody needs to hear in a hellfire any longer... we have lived in that long enough for now, and that has never brought anyone to church or to repentance... That just pushes people away. But those of you who give low reviews... You must know... for those who come here and truly want to learn what following Jesus is like... will come to know what repentance is.... will attend one of our home bible study groups... will move on and forward with a life of Christ, so don't be so quick to judge off of one or two visits. Nothing should be judged so quickly and offensively. Name me one church who is 100% theologically correct. NOT ONE. Be joyful that there are people coming to a place of wanting God. Be joyful that there are more coming to salvation and love for Christ. Stop trying to be a voice for God. He doesn't need your opinion.
