Well,won't sound too original but this place does have the best gelato in Barcelona. I have not tried many flavors, but those I did (amaretto and almond,cacao,pistachio,hazelnut) were mind-blowing! On my quest for the "best gelato" in Spain, we yelped this gem just a few blocks off of La Rambla. This is a really cute cafe that also offers pasteries and coffee, in addition to its gelato and lots of sorbets. There are benches inside as well as seat outside to enjoy your snack/dessert and people watch. Honestly, it's not much more expensive if not cheaper than the places on La Rambla - but you get the cute French ambiance and friendly service that makes the 5-10 minute walk worth it. read more

Stopped by ~5min before closing and there was a line of about 8 people in front of me. When it was finally my turn the woman working seemed irritated to let me sample any of the flavors. I had never been there before, so i needed a minute to decide. After barely 20 seconds talking to me, she got very pushy, saying that they're past closing time, so she was going to move on to the next customer if I didn't decide immediately. This seemed weird to me after seeing the workers chat, laugh and take their time with the customers just before me. So I quickly made a decision and despite apologizing and thanking the woman for helping me, she gave me a much smaller than expected amount of ice cream. My serving barely reached over the top of the medium cup. It appeared far less than what I see posted here. Clearly they don't want me as a customer, so I won't be returning. read more

The staff behind the counter was really nice and friendly. I ordered their cacao and pistachio gelato, and it was delectable! The cacao they offer is different from their chocolate flavour gelato, it does not contain milk. It was really nice and rich but not too sweet and carries a bit of dark bitterness. This little shop produces some really high-quality and delicious ice cream. We had a hard time choosing which flavors to try and ultimately ended up with the dark chocolate and hazelnut for T and the dulce de leche and chocolate for myself. The sizing here is very generous - I picked a small cone (cono) and the friendly woman behind the counter scooped up two large scoops of ice cream. The dulce de leche had a very smooth, strong caramel flavor and the chocolate ice cream was perfectly chocolately. The cone was fine - nothing special. The dark chocolate was really, really good though - only a tiny bit sweet and strong chocolate flavor. The hazelnut was also ok. I did also try the mojito which was very, very mojito-y with strong hints of lime as well as what tasted a bit like rum but my sweet tooth was very focused on chocolate. Once you get your ice cream there are several cute tables at which to sit as well as a little square outside if the weather is nice. read more

This place covers their gelato and keeps it temperature controlled, which makes it leagues better than those touristy exposed-gelato places on the main streets. There is also some indoor seating, so you will definitely be able to sit down and enjoy some nice creamy gelato. The staff was extremely nice, the gelato was exceptionally good and tasted extremely fresh. I don't think it's better than Gelaaati Di Marco, albeit very close, but it was less expensive and I do think the environment here is waaaaay better. Come give it a try and see for yourself. Delacrem is a tiny gelato place tucked right at the corner. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so take your pick! It could get really crowded at times. This gelato place stands out because they rotate their flavours quite frequently which shows good signs that they use nothing but fresh ingredients depending on the season! The flavours are all in Spanish but the staff are super helpful and make sure you're satisfied with your choices! Their gelato is smooth to the palate and rich in flavours. Some of my favourite picks are the platano canario (banana), pistachio and coco. The boniato con miel (sweet potato with honey) for this month's special, was interesting as well! One small cup allows you to choose 2 of your favourite picks at 2.50euros so pick wisely! They do really good affogato (3euros) too, what's best is you could choose what to go with it. Came here several times but delacrem never disappoints. By far, the best gelato here in Barcelona. read more

Very good! Cute quaint location and gelato that tasted like it was made from scratch with fresh ingredients. We tried the pistachio, stracciatella, and banana. The pistachio and banana tasted exactly like it was made from real ingredients, so it's pretty different from American flavors (not nearly as sweet) the stracciatella was lovely as well with little Oreo like pieces.
