They will not pass a vehicle which is not safe to drive and I respect them for their honest and professional mechanical work. No one wants to spend money on car repairs but Aaron is the most reasonable rate in Onondaga and Madison counties. He communicates any issues he finds BEFORE he does any work and tells you the cost up front. He cares about his customers. Sometimes I have to wait a week to get in but safet repairs takes time. I have been coming to Aaron for over 10 years and he has great deals on tires, better than online or the big box stores. They are busy because they are good. Some people do not like to hear bad news about what a vehicle needs repairs to it, but vechicles are the most important assett you use everyday and it protects your life and everyone else on the road. You can trust this garage and Aaron has over 20 years of expereince.

My son, a college student at SUNY Morrisville, went here for an oil change. Second, I brought the car home to my mechanic a week later and just 1 outer tie rod needed to be done. The car had just been inspected a few months so we knew the other stuff was probably fine even before double-checking. I feel like they were trying to take advantage of a naive college kid. Don't recommend.

Prices might be a…read morelittle high for parts, but not much and the labor costs are fair as well as paying for convenience in small town. My brake replacement was done same day, and the owner offered to drive me up to class so that I didn't miss class or have to call a friend for a ride. I would definitely recommend, especially for anything that needs to be done on a quick time frame or for any students with cars on campus at colgate.

I'm new to the area and needed a car inspection, so I decided to give D's a try (despite some mixed…read morereviews on various sites). In a nutshell, the mechanics are capable and hard working, but the owner/manager is untrustworthy. I would caution anyone who goes here to be on your toes, and if possible, to get a second opinion. During my inspection, the mechanic (a nice young guy) determined that everything was fine except for the windshield wipers. I told them that I had a spare set in my trunk, and the mechanic began putting them on. Then the owner asked me if I wanted them to install the wipers for me. I asked if he'd charge for labor, and he said yes (and gave me some line about needing to pay his workers). So I told him I could put them on myself, and mentioned that other places typically just put the wipers on for free. He replied by telling me, "You don't understand how this works...," and tried to trick me into believing that I needed to let his mechanic install the wipers. So I told him that if needed, he could fail the car and back it out of the garage so I could install the wipers. Then we could pull it back in and he could pass it. Now, realizing that he would just be making more work for himself, he simply let me put the wipers on. When paying, I told him that I would keep this experience in mind the next time I needed a mechanic. This visit was a small matter -- a squabble over a few dollars, really -- but it was enough to show me that D's Auto can't be trusted, and that they may outright trick you. That said, if anyone has any recommendations for a knowledgeable, upright mechanic in the Hamilton area, I'd love to hear them! Thanks.
