I normally only right good reviews but this is more of a warning. I am a local and I have bought plants here in the past. Annuals are great however I bought 2 fruit trees ( peach and cherry) last year and 1 bush ( don't remember the name but in the fall they said it would be beautiful. I did all the thinks they tell you to do even the tablets you put in the ground. The bush and the peach trees are both dead. The cherry tree is fighting to stay alive. Called to talk about them to the store and was told call back later and later they had me call back. Kept blowing me off. read more

I called to order a porch basket for my mom to be picked up. I spoke to someone on the phone who was very impatient and told me the basket was beautiful. My parents picked it up that day and sent a picture of the disaster. There were 3 small plants for $100, one was broken off and all of them were frost burnt! My mother called to tell them the condition of the flowers (she worked for years in a nursery) and they were rude and abrupt. We did get our money back, the only good thing I can say about the transaction. Save your money and go to Walmart, trying to buy local isn't worth it here. read more

Customer Service is not their strong point. Nor is any guarantee or warranty on their plants. Bought two expensive maple trees, both struggled for the first two years, one looks like it's going to die. Every other new and existing plant in proximity to this troubled tree are doing exceedingly well. This one tree bought from Delaney has proved to be a bad tree. No action by Delaney has been offered to make this right. read more

Walked into store and 3 workers, that weren't busy, looked at all 3 of us and didn't say one word, and just kind of wandered off. We kept walking through towards the outside. We passed the actual owner and she didn't even say hi or can I help you with anything she walked straight passed us, looked around and seen other people further across the store and went and said hi to them and asked if they needed help. Maybe she thought because we were brown that we weren't there to spend any money and she didn't want to waste her time. We still kinda looked around and thought maybe somebody would help us. The prices were extremely high and nobody helped so we just left. read more

Been here for 22 years and I can't even count the number of people who've told me, "don't go to Delaney's ". I finally went there anyway. Bought strong liquid weed killer, took it directly home, when my husband pulled it out of the bag the top flew off and large amounts of poisonous weed killer flew into my husband's mouth, all over the front and back of the car, and into a new pot I bought. When I talked the front manager about it I was shocked at how non-compassionate, rude, and dismissive she was. I just spent 2 hours straight inside my car with the outside thermometer 100° trying to scrub poison off of my leather as I was told to do by the manufacturer .The poison control also said that my husband could get a myriad of painful G.I. symptoms. When the front manager heard this she said in a dry/sarcastic tone, "Well, I'm glad he won' t die ". I told her that every store should back the products they sell. She replied, "no we don't, we don't have to stand behind the products we sell, we don't have to stand behind any product we sell....." she kept saying that over and over, talking over me. The refund they were supposed to give me for the poisonous weed killer showed a debit from my credit card by them instead of a credit. Then it showed a credit by them, which was the same amount as they debited, so basically instead of the credit I was supposed to get they gave me zero dollars. When I spoke to the front manager about it she immediately raised her voice to me on the phone and then I realized it wasn't worth the money, so I just got off the phone. I really don't think I have been treated worse by any store in my life. Also of note: Before this incident I checked the price of some large ceramic pots(not on sale ),at a specialty plant store in Kalispell, I saw the EXACT same pots at Delaney's but they cost over twice as much. If you're in the mood to throw your money away be treated like dirt, this is your place. read more

Expect only great experiences buying plants & supplements here. The staff is the most friendly & knowledgeable that I've had the pleasure of meeting in the valley & I've bought hundreds of plants everywhere: CFalls - Kalispell - Bigfork. These folks are happy to spend time explaining & helping find what plants will do well in my yard that seems to be a kaleidoscope of sun & shade that confuses many of my plants. Colleen is especially wonderful. The last time I was there, I had a much appreciated no nonsense mini Master Gardener lesson - how to plant in different kinds of soils, how to amend the soil, how to protect against critter damage, what supplements the different plants need to thrive, etc etc. It was enlightening! They also provide written directions to take home. I've been working on growing my perennial garden the past few years & it's disappointing when a plant doesn't make it (esp an expensive one!) Even if you know what you're doing, Delaney's has a fabulous & reasonably priced selection of healthy annuals, perennials, trees, tons of herbs & veggies. They even have onions & potatoes (inc smart potato 'bags' to grow in) - and who doesn't love fresh potatoes from your own garden?
