For some reason, that was a problem for me to solve, not them. Back at Thrifty Way I mentioned the matter, and Mr. Darce stopped everything he was doing and dove in, trying to figure out where the snag was. He said he would call me when it was all worked out. And by the next day he had called my doctor, obtained a new prescription, and persuaded them to fill out the necessary paperwork to satisfy the insurance company. He even apologized--repeatedly--for the confusion, even though he'd been the only one eager to take point and fix the problem. As for that other "big name" pharmacy: after being made to feel like I was at best a nuisance, what a pleasure it was to inform them their services were no longer requested. They had curtly pointed out that it would be better if I got all my prescriptions filled by the same pharmacy. On that point, at least, we are in complete agreement. They also have handmade soaps and bath bombs (my personal weakness) as well as body butters and diffusers. I had a coupon for a free essential oil or essential oil blend. I spent about thirty minutes smelling the samples and finally chose a blend called Happiness. This is a blend of 100% pure essential oils consisting of bergamot, Ylang-Ylang, Geranium, Rosewood, Lemon, Mandarin, Jasmine, Chamomile and Rose. It smells absolutely delicious and can be used in a variety of ways. You can mix a few drops into unscented oil or body lotion to have a long lasting perfume, put a few drops in a diffuser which fills up your entire home with the beautiful scent. It last longer than a candle or plug in, too! Finally, it can be applied directly to your face to help combat wrinkles and dry skin. I love it! I also got a few sweet smelling soaps and bath bombs. Hooray for that! Vitamins Plus offers healthy items like tea, supplements, food & bath products at a very reasonable price. I have done price comparisons & VP has won out almost every single time. Another plus about this place is that, if they don't carry something, you can make a request & they will order it for you, then begin carrying it in perpetuity! It's also conveniently located near my apartment, which is a definite bonus. On the other hand, the staff is what you would expect of a part-time, minimum-wage staff in retail. Therefore, if you're looking for guidance, your best bet is to do your own research because customer service is a bit of a crap shoot. Additionally, plan to have cash, check or debit card handy for payment, since credit cards are not accepted at this establishment. All in all, I'm happy with Vitamins Plus.
