For some reason, that was a problem for me to solve, not them. Back at Thrifty Way I mentioned the matter, and Mr. Darce stopped everything he was doing and dove in, trying to figure out where the snag was. He said he would call me when it was all worked out. And by the next day he had called my doctor, obtained a new prescription, and persuaded them to fill out the necessary paperwork to satisfy the insurance company. He even apologized--repeatedly--for the confusion, even though he'd been the only one eager to take point and fix the problem. As for that other "big name" pharmacy: after being made to feel like I was at best a nuisance, what a pleasure it was to inform them their services were no longer requested. They had curtly pointed out that it would be better if I got all my prescriptions filled by the same pharmacy. On that point, at least, we are in complete agreement. I go there when I have the time even though it's way further from my house than youngsville location. It's also conveniently located near my apartment, which is a definite bonus. On the other hand, the staff is what you would expect of a part-time, minimum-wage staff in retail. Therefore, if you're looking for guidance, your best bet is to do your own research because customer service is a bit of a crap shoot. Additionally, plan to have cash, check or debit card handy for payment, since credit cards are not accepted at this establishment. All in all, I'm happy with Vitamins Plus.
