When I inquired why the first visit was a higher cost. I was told there was an $80 first customer visit fee. This is something I should've been made aware of on my first visit. If I was made aware of this, I could've easily gone to my primary physician and and could have avoided this cost. It is an unethical practice to not make a patient aware of this additional charge for a first time patient fee. It also makes no sense because I had to fill out the same amount of paperwork on both visits. Go to your primary physician if you can avoid using this company. I don't recommend them.

These…read morepeople were not rude in fact they were very pleasant, and I think that is why this type of service is being accepted. While I think being kind and well mannered is a huge plus, it is not the only thing required in service, especially when it comes to medical care. I don't want my review to be taken as if these people we rude or bad people in anyway at all. I just feel as though patients shouldn't leave the room feeling that any questions were left unanswered, let alone none at all.

I think you will conclude that this is a special place that really stands out compared to the for-profit options in the area. I'm sure it isn't perfect, but it's absolutely the type of place, if home isn't an option, where I'd like to live. This place cares and is genuinely home to the residents. You can see it in the artwork on the walls, the front doors of each resident's apartment, and the community that you see in the dining room and activity center.

My poor grandmother with severe Alzheimer's was there recently for a short respite stay and the condition she was in when I picked her up was disgusting and appalling that any human being would have to live like that. She had been sitting in her own urine and feces for hours that when I got her home she had sores and a red rash developing. I actually left her wheel chair out front of the facility because the smell coming from in was atrocious. Her room smelled like a Porta potty and the floor was covered in feces. She had bags of clothes wrapped up in her closet saturated and urine and feces as well. Then I go to the bathroom to gather her belongings and there is a urine stained diaper sitting on the shelf along with the rest of her clean unused diapers. My heart sank, I could not believe what I was seeing. I just can't imagine what else she might have gone through especially not being able to speak up for herself. I filed a complaint at the Lorelton but haven't heard anything since. I just can't believe the amount of money we paid to have her there, that this is the type of care she received. This is just plain elder abuse and neglect.

I was so grateful that they did not try to sell me endless therapy. If my shoulder gets worse I will be back. I will also refer others. I appreciate their service.

Staff who are not physical therapists and oversee routine exercises are supervised by the PTs. During my treatment I was seen by multiple PTs, depending on schedule. They were all flexible, ready to drop treatments that weren't working and try new ones. They all communicated thoroughly with each other, and I learned something a bit different from each PT, so I felt I was treated by a team and that this gave me superior service. Mother was at Abbey Manor for 7 months and passed away there with the support of Hospice. Mother…read morewas sweet, happy and affectionate and it did not take long for the staff at Abbey Manor to fall in love with her. Then, the staff seemed to love our whole family! With only 15 residents, Mom had one on one care every day. Even as she needed more and more assistance with personal care, the girls assisted her with the utmost love and respect. At times, the girls sat with mom over night, when she forgot she couldn't walk. When mom appeared uncomfortable, they would sooth her by massaging her arms and legs. Mom was really anxious the last 3 days of her life. She appeared unsettled and could not tell us what was wrong. This was very hard for my brother and I to watch. Mona, the nurse, stayed with us for 3 straight days, offering mother care and and us comfort and support. She treated us like we were her family. I would recommend Abbey Manor to anyone that I love. One more thing, no two more things! Mother loved the food! She actually gained weight while there. Lots of homemade cookies, cakes and pies. Mom loved her sweets! The staff would call me on the phone whenever Mom wanted to talk to me or if mom needed anything in the way of clothing or supplies. They would call if they wanted our opinion on how to deal with any of Mom's behaviors or needs. Now that Mom is gone, we will miss our friends at Abbey Manor.
