Another A-OK place, with a nice outdoor patio right in the center but without all the traffic (still feels like only pedestrian location, even though its not).
We sat outside, enjoying the warm blankets nicely folded outside looking fairly fresh and inviting, while it drizzled around us (we were under this massive umbrella tents, so almost felt like covered patio without feeling stuffy).
I would say it lost a lot of stars in my book because 1. The waitress completely ignored us even when we were practically waving to her as she was right next to us (her colleague always came to the rescue, so don't want to blame the whole place) 2. My order of chai tea and rum (amazing $4.60) came out very elegant on a silver tray, with hot milk and foam, class of water, whipped cream, cherry, and.... a store bought sugary chai flavoured pack, very similar to individual chocolate milk packs. Are you for real????? so I ripped the pack open, and stirred it into the milk. So weird, they could have did it in the kitchen and I would have though "hmm, a bit sugary but ok". 3. Also, the rum was horrific. worst quality around, forget it.
So, nice place, its barely 3 minute walk from Stefansdom, but gees... for quality, I guess you can try somewhere else
Conclusion: Ok for maybe the last drink of the night on a date, since so nice sitting area outside. Don't drink the tea, For quality, I guess you can try somewhere else.
And if you like chai, go to Rasouli by Yppenplatz. They make their own chai, all fresh spices, I even bought a bit to take home (fair price). read more
