He is aggressive, inappropriate, verbally abusive, incompetent and completely unprofessional. I needed a shower to be repaired.I called him and he came by same day to see what the job required and to quote the job. He told me he could return on the following Saturday morning with the right part to repair and if that didn't correct the situation he would need to replace the entire shower system. He felt certain that he could repair the faucet handle. He quoted me $650 if the the system needed a full repair. He was complaining the entire time about every customer that day had large dogs and he was angry and wound up from the moment he walked through my door. It was very uncomfortable to be around him. He returned the following Saturday and removed the hot water handle to the shower. I advised him that I purchased a new shower kit, 3 handle that appeared to be the same that was installed prior. He attempted to use the new kit, then went to his truck and brought in a delta cartridge that didn't fit. In fact the cartridge he jammed it in the stem. He then could not stop the water from running out the shower faucet. He then picked up the new shower kit and slammed it on the floor stating "I don't know why people buy this shi...." He yelled at me "Throw it away or send it back to Jeff Bezos." He was there an hour. During that time he kept trying to engage me in personal small talk, and pressuring me to go out with him for drinks. I declined. He then charged me $200 for his 1 hour of incompetency and rudeness, and informed me he would be would need to return and install an entire new shower kit and go thru the plaster wall behind the shower. He then told me to go to the Kingston Brass website and send him an email with the photos of what I wanted, he would approve and I would purchase. I had to leave town unexpectedly.. Upon my return I sent Rich Dodaro a text message with a link to the shower faucet kit I was going to purchase. He said it was fine. It was delivered and I called him to reschedule. I was going to have my son there because I did not want to be alone with this guy. He then asked if I was still using my son's home to shower as mine was not working. . I explained that ...I had no working shower in my home. He said, but I fixed it...you had running water when I left. I said no, remember you couldn't repair it, that is why you had me order the new kit. He couldn't remember what he did and he seemed to be very confused. I told him that he charged me $200 and couldn't repair the faucet handle, that I could not return the first kit because he damaged the parts, and I ordered the 2nd replacement for $300, and...I was now at $700 and still have a broken shower. I told him I wanted to be sure that the $650 he quoted me would resolve the problem, and I again asked what availability he had to complete the job. I texted him the address to the property where I was having a garbage disposal issue. We met there on time. Michael was able to clear the problem and show me what I could do in the future should a similar problem arise. The following week I called on Michael again. This time it was at another property to diagnose and clear all plumbing drains in a bathroom. The charge for services was not cheap but they were fair, came out right away, and the attention and care to the problem were worth it. I will most definitely use Michael/Samuel Bales Plumbing again. In fact, I was getting ready to call them again for a dishwasher repair so I remembered I wanted to write them a review.

I had several GFCI's installed (in front of the house and in the kitchen), as well as running permanent wiring for an electric garage door opener, and rectifying an improper electrical installation (by previous owner) of the washer/dryer. I also asked my wife to find out how much adding an outlet to the back deck would cost, as this wasn't on the original estimate (I hadn't noticed there wasn't an outlet out there until the day we moved in). Not only did they arrive on time, and do all the quoted work quickly and efficiently, but when my wife asked them about the extra outlet, they said that since it was our first home, and they were already running wires near that area (for the washer/dryer) they'd throw it in for free! I can't recommend them enough. As a new homeowner I consider finding a trustworthy contractor a rare thing. So I actually asked them for references for other contractors when the HVAC contractor didn't show up , and they were able to give me a great referral that showed up same-day and completed the work for half what the no-show contractor had quoted us.

I posted to the local community Facebook page for a reliable electrician and Bill Stover of PGH Electrical Services was recommended numerous times. Bill is the independent owner and operator for PGH Electrical Services and is licensed and insured. I reviewed his Facebook page and found several positive reviews. I messaged Bill around 10pm the night of the fire department visit and he responded right away. He visited my house the very next day (a Saturday) at 9AM and looked through our house and evaluated the situation. He identified the problem of the overloaded circuit quickly and proposed a solution that day. We had one other electrician visit the house for the same proposed work, and he didn't suggest the options that Bill provided and was going to do more damage to our ceilings and walls than what Bill proposed. Bill's pricing was competitive from speaking to others who had recent electrical work completed. We knew we wanted Bill's expertise for the job! The only criticism I have for the business is that it can be hard to contact Bill regarding proposed work and getting some preliminary questions answered. I attribute that to his busy schedule and him always being on the go, though. Bill arrived on time on the scheduled start date for the work. He was careful to remove his shoes while walking through my home and wore boot covers over his shoes when necessary. He was friendly, professional, diligent, and very hard-working. He took his time to make sure he thoroughly understood the various circuit connections for each breaker before starting any new work. He thought outside the box when working to minimize any new holes that needed cut into the walls or the ceiling. He also replaced the drywall sections that were cut and patched the holes when he was done. He brought a vacuum and would sweep up any dust or debris that was created from running new wires in the walls. I appreciated that greatly since I have a small dog that I didn't want to step in the debris and I have asthma. Plus, no one wants dust and debris tracked through their home! Bill exceeded expectations when he installed a new light fixture where a plain lightbulb was located in place of the light that the firefighters had to pull out of the ceiling. He also checked out my garage and identified a faulty light switch that was sure to cause more issues down the road. He replaced both during his work and neither were part of the original scope of services. He also did it without additional charge. Bill completed his work as anticipated within the two-day timeframe, too. I would highly recommend Bill and PGH Electrical Services for all your household electrical needs. His quality of work exceeded expectations and I'm so happy that we chose him to fix our electrical problems during what was a very scary time for my husband and I.

In what was an extremely stressful situation Pat (the owner) quickly answered every phone call with my endless questions in the shortest of time frames. I committed to him doing all the work Tuesday night and he told me his goal was to have my gas back on the following evening and he did - less than 24 hours!!! I did have another issue with my hot water tank (a manufacturing defect) and he showed up again to resolve that issue too!! His work ethic is top notch. His entire crew (Justin, Wes, and Callum) literally worked their asses off in pouring rain, cold and wind, up a hill, thru tree roots - hand digging - they didn't stop all day. Maybe a 10 minute lunch break. I felt so bad and they all were so pleasant and respectful. Elissa in the office was the first person I had contact with and she was so easy and compassionate to work with. She offered to drive to my house with anything I needed while my gas was off!!
