The second I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and fun conversation. They are not the usual hair salon where every stylist uses the same boring conversation and small talk to attempt to convince you that they are interested in your day to day life. They make you feel as though you've been friends with all of them for years. Now, on to the service... I came in for a brow wax, and a hair cut. First off, I made a last minute decision to get my hair cut that day, and they squeezed me right in. Kristen did my wax and my cut. I don't think anyone's ever done such an amazing job on either one of those for me. She was quick, friendly, and did EXACTLY what I asked for. It was a tall order since she took about 5 inches off, plus put a ton of layers in. It looks and feels incredible. The shop was clean, conveniently located, relaxing, and they have surprisingly good prices for the quality of service and hospitality they provide. The only down side is that they don't take credit/debit, but there is a regions ATM right across the street. My hair grows fast, and I have a tendency to go from pixie to past-my-shoulders with only one or two cuts inbetween. On this occasion, I was starting to realize the strange "ombre" effect I was developing was due to shimmering golden split ends. Eeks! Time for a cut. I'm actually wanting to grow it longer, so I asked for a trim. You've heard the horror stories about trim requests which turns into six inch cuts, but thankfully this is not one of those. Kemp showed me how high the damage went, explained how much he would need to take off, and worked with my existing (grown-out) layers to keep as much length as possible while transforming my hair into a a luxuriously soft and healthy look, still with lots of length and body. Amazed! I enjoyed sitting under the gentle dryer and reading a magazine rather than the typical harsh and hurried blow out, and I also love all the "eye candy" that adorns the walls and high shelves. I appreciate the care taken to create a beautiful *and* visually interesting space, especially when quality haircuts like these do leave you sitting and looking at the walls as the transformation occurs. My color stays in my hair longer and I get sooo many compliments its unreal! Some places fry my hair but I have never had a single complaint after leaving Body Reflections! The other thing I have noticed is the unbelievable customer service you recieve here, Its not uncommon to see Tony bring out coffee and snacks while your under the dryer, occaisionally he brings out champagne and wine glasses for special occasions (my wedding he did my hair and served champagne!) Also if you aren't happy with your hair they will fix it. The biggest thing everyone else notices is the prices! Compare them to anywhere else and see the difference! In california I pay 3 times as much for services that are 1/3 of the quality I recieve here!
