Not worth it. They don't pay their drivers and the cars themselves are unreliable and pushing over 300-400kms. Vehicles are not super clean for the most part. Clients are all Boomers and OW recipients, who notoriously have NO MONEY. You'll be lucky to make $50 in 12 hours. That's why they can't keep people. It's literally the same 5 customers, heading to the same plazas to buy drugs, groceries, and cigarettes. Deluxe is curry trying to round up Pennie's, by scamming the new drivers into paying DOUBLE to renew their licenses. They will charge you $150 right away, and then 2/3 months later they will surprise you with another $150 charge That they initially told you that they would cover when you paid the first time. They also claim that payments to operators will be paid in cash the following week, with zero follow through. They will make up excuses as to why you wont receive it. I am owed money that I know I won't get. But as long as this deters even one person from using or becoming a driver for this company, then I'm already repaid in dividends. Just call an Uber or Lyft. They are less expensive. Cleaner cars too. Even as a driver for this company, and knowing all of the rate details, I STILL used Uber. read more

Didn't have the opportunity to use. Called an hour before my appointment and no one showed. I called back and they said 5min away. Call back in 10 minutes and they said he left cause no one was outside. When did cab services not knock on your door. It's call SERVICE!!! All he kept telling me that govt cheques are out and they can't help me. I missed my appointment by and hour and a half and had to wait 2 hours for them to fit me in for my IV treatment. Most horrible taxi company ever never know they will take your stuff for collateral and too get it back you either have to go to their office or have them deliver your stuff back and charge you more on top of what you didn't pay from the night before had a couple that had too go 6 mins down the road which normally cost $24 I'm on the edge of Barrie the couple lives in Utopia just 6 minutes from my house so they charged more $35 which the couple didn't have so they took a electric guitar for collateral and now to get it back $65. Drivers interested in working for this company should be aware. They will have you write your cab licence ($331.00) with the city and then have you sign 15 pages worth of imposed "regulations" to work for them. Problem with this is, once you've paid the licence, you cannot work for any other company. They will abuse the system to entrap you with either paying another $331.00 or agreeing to their terms no questions asked or be fired! When I tried to move away from this company they denied me the ability to work by telling the city to not allow it without buying a new licence. Car 14: I used to use Deluxe all the time until I came across a driver that was not having a very good day. He was ranting about how he hadn't had a break all day and barely had time to read the daily news paper. He made me feel very uncomfortable on my 5 minute ride. He ended up driving past the turn for the shortest route to my house and when I corrected him, he U-Turned in front of oncoming traffic, putting both my life and his as risk. Then he MISSED my street ENTIRELY and when I told him so, he made another dangerous U-Turn. Then apologized and ranted about how he's just a "stupid taxi driver" and he didn't have enough education to have done anything better with his life. When he had finally dropped me off at my door, he apologized once more for loosing his temper- but it was not sincerely, and stating that I should forgive him because he isn't smart to know any better. I called to report him immediately but the company never updated me on what they did to him, or if they even dealt with his case. I never used their services by choice again. Until... Car 15: I was at the Bayfield Mall and unfortunately did not have my cellphone. I did not want break my bills to use the payphone, so I used one of those designated phones for Deluxe. As the driver drove up, the car smelt like he had been smoking in the vehicle. My sister whom has asthma, and myself, whom is pregnant, asked the driver if we could kindly roll down the window. He snorted and said, "It's up to you if you want to freeze yourself". I kindly informed him that the car smelt like smoke and that I was pregnant. He again snorted and asked me, "what smoke?" and shook his head. I then asked to be let out of the car and said he did not have to be so rude. He acted as if he had done nothing wrong and mumbled something under his breath. I will NEVER NEVER call this company ever again. I will only use Deluxe Taxi- i lost my phone in a taxi- the office called me and told me they have found my phone I have only had one bad experience and the office staff was great in dealing with my concern. I have tried the other company that states they are the best- NO, they are very rude and will never take them. read more
