Been looking for area rugs at some of the local 'home goods box stores', not much luck, and…read morethinking maybe we should try local anyway, we headed to a local store (first)...designer kinda place, flooring etc...yikes on price...yes, some great area rugs, but no better quality than the box store, but two to three times the cost!?!...in comes Ron's. Next on list, Not in a location you'd think of as a busy retail location, but it was(again) local and why not try. As we pulled in, my wife was skeptical of what kind of selection they'd have as it 'looked' like a carpet (only) store, so probably no area rugs anyway. We meet Karen as we walk in, friendly, smiles, welcoming, really pretty cool lady. Not seeing any hanging area rugs, i reluctantly asked about area rugs and she/Karen threw us an answer I didn't expect..."we don't carry area rugs (per say) but we have a good selection of remnants you could choose and we would cut and finish for a custom area rug." Of course I thought this would be exspensive, right? SURPRISE, it was a little LESS than the box store!...AND for a very small bit more, we finished our scrap left (10' x 25") for a matching runner!?! We picked them up today and they are so awesome/beautiful! And, yes, we went back and ordered another for our basement rec room...UNBELIEVABLE!! I had asked if they could fit a time slot coming up that we would be out of town as the new carpet was going on the stairs and bedrooms. My husband doesn't love my home improvement projects so Sutton's saved my bacon there! When we had them back out to do the basement stairs and carpet I had the pleasure of meeting their installation team. These are some of the nicest guys I have had at our house doing work. Very quick and courteous! I believe they told me that they employ them personally so no subs here which I really respect. Communication all a long was fantastic! Can't wait until our budget and schedule align so that we can redo the hardwood floors on the main level. I know they will knock that job out of the park too!
