As someone who has clear knowledge of what happens inside this clinic with your pets, I cannot state it enough to avoid this place as much as possible. High Desert may cost a bit more, but it is WORTH the care, love and professionalism they serve to you and your beloved pet. The inside of this clinic is absolutely disgusting, I had never seen a place so disorganized and antiquated. Brenda is possibly one of the rudest persons I have met and puts up a friendly front while you're there. Dr. Haynes is clean during his surgeries but has ZERO communication skills and does not care to actually help. I had 4 coyotes attack my own dog and rush to this vet for help, my dog was pregnant when she got attacked and asked if they would do an ultrasound to check her pups. They did not check her puppies and let alone provide care for her torn up flesh. I had even called a few days letter to inform she wasn't getting better and wanted to know what he recommended me, he said it was all up to me (but if I'm calling a medical professional, he should obviously give valuable recommendations). She ended up dying due to pups being dead. His insolence cost me my dog. As someone with Animal Assisting certification please do not go here, equine and big animal help is decent but for your feline and canines, stay away! read more

If you live in deming go to high desert vet!! Do not waste your time or money here. These people are scammers. I rushed to the closest vet because my dog was dying as it just got ran over by a truck. The doctor didn't even touch my dog or try to examine him.... He just started asking for money and saying it was gonna be over $1000. He quoted me 2 x-ray pictures for $150 and then by the end of the conversation wanted $300 for the X-rays...... When he changed the quote again and still hadn't even tried to look at my dog, touch my dog or even check his heart rate we left. We went to high desert where the doctor instantly got on her hands and knees checked every bone and muscle in my dogs body, checked his heart rate eyes ears toes. She gave me a quote for $300 for x-rays, pain medication anti inflammatory medication Ivs, hospital care overnight! I happily signed the papers and left my dog in good hands. Thankful I didn't waste $1000 for not even half the items I got at the other vet. read more

Service and quality! We we're visiting from out of town and needed to find a vet for our dog who was experiencing hot spots or some reaction. The service by the front office staff was wonderful and warm and professional. We were added to their records quickly and everyone was so friendly. Dr Hayes was quick to identify the issue and suggest treatment. He also recommended that if the issue did not clear up in a couple days to get back in touch with his office. The treatment did help, but we noticed some additional symptoms a few days later. When I called the office, they were so quick to run down the doctor to get a recommendation and they fit us in within the hour. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I will recommend it to anyone needing care in the Las Cruces, Hatch, Deming area. We are so glad to know that this team is there. read more

Me and my girlfriend went there to get a checkup on a new poodle I bought her. They had us fill out a paper that had only our personal info and how much we were willing to spend. (I HAVE money and was willing to spend more if necessary) but i only put 50$ for this visit. They send us into this small room to wait for the DR. The room smelled HORRIBLE. When the DR finally arrives he says hello and glares at the piece of paper for some time. Acting like he's doing something useful when obviously there's nothing of value on it. He feels all over the dog, sticks something in his butt and calls him healthy. My girlfriend asks some questions like 'why is he having trouble breathing at night' and with no response.'He quickly left and after that they charged us over 45$ for essentially nothing. I believe since he looked at us as a very young couple with only 50$ to spend that he didn't want to waste his PRECIOUS TIME with us. Very disgusting. 1 month later I'm here bringing him to ANOTHER vet because obviously something is wrong with our poodle. read more

Went in for a checkup, All the front office staff are very friendly! they finally send us to a smelly room to wait, Dr comes in to do the check up, and just looks in her ears, not even with a light!... doesn't look at anything else or ask any questions. He does clip her nails and give her a shot that she needed though..but only because we had the front desk lady put it on her chart! As my husband stated..it was like an assembly line! On the friday before a 3 day weekend, Memorial Day, I was desperately calling EVERY vet in Las Cruces NM having finally caught the large male feral cat who has been a hazard to all the other cats at the headquarters to get him neutered. I called ALL of the vets in Cruces, who refused because of the holiday weekend. Knowing I'd NEVER catch him again I called Dr Haynes at Deming Animal Clinic, 45 minutes outside of Las Cruces. After explaining my situation they asked Dr Haynes if he could possibly squeeze him in and he said YES!!!!!!! God bless him and his staff. He was willing to go the extra mile. I was on road in middle of no where and he helped by giving some instructions on phone. He took extra steps by calling back again after couple of hours to see house the dog doing. I've known Dr. Haynes for a long time now - he's taken care of our pets for 20+ years. Always a professional, and his staff well trained and helpful. Our last visit was on 11/30/15 - a sad visit as we had to put our beloved gray tabby Mr. Puddles down. He had been sick for some time, a very determined fella - he held on for quite a long time. Dr. Haynes and his assistant were very sympathetic and caring while performing this last, difficult task - even cried along with me as we held my dying boy...
