My truck was towed only 7 miles and I was charged $1,726. I was told the rate was $300 per hour, then it was changed to $350 per hour without my approval. I was also told a part costs $120, but they demanded $2,759 to install it. Because of this unreasonable price, I refused the repair and did not authorize any work. Despite this, I was still charged $1,000 in labor, even though no repair work was done. I believe this shop uses misleading statements and pressures customers in difficult situations. I am leaving this review to warn others to be extremely cautious.

He was there in no time…read moreand maneuverd his flatbed in tight corners to hook up to my truck and in no time at all we were on the way. He wrote out a receipt on paper plus sent a copy of the transaction to my phone so I could submit it for reimbursement through my insurance company. Honestly I never even looked at the price until I got home and I was amazed at how reasonable it was compared to past experience with other towing companies in the area. As a side note, their business as well as others recently have been experiencing difficulties with Google. Luckily for me I removed Google Chrome from my phone and used my Samsung phone's internet search to find them.

The towing was fast, gentle and he treat my car with respect. Bob does not want to hire somebody to do the towing, I am not sure why but someone he hired might not have the enthusiasm and dedication to get every single task done correctly. Bob is willing to point out every single item your car is needed after car was towed from an accident, so you have an idea of what is necessary for you car and don't get rip off by other mechanics. Bob is a very responsible guy. I live 2 hours away from this town, after my accident happened, the local sheriff drop me at one of the hotel in Mt Morris. After Bob knows my friend won't be around to pick me up until afternoon, and I have to check out of the hotel. He took me to his home to wait until my friend comes, he offer me a variety of drinks and his wife cooked me some good foods. Any friend who needs a tow, I strongly recommend Ellsworth towing. Bob almost work 24/7, The towing is $150. If you take into account of his time consumption, operating expenses, and the opportunity cost, this will not be a bad deal for you if you are really in need of a tow.

I was far enough away that the automatic step had enough room to come out. I would guess 8-10 inches giving me a safe distance from travelers on the interstate. They then charged me 5 hours labor to replace the driveshaft. There are 8 bolts holding a driveshaft on as with any vehicle. Anyone mechanically inclined would confirm that is ridiculous and extremely excessive.
