Went to look at 2 used motorhomes, both in excess of $200k. After favoring one over the other we started taking a closer look finding multiple personal items from the previous owners left behind and mice droppings throughout. It seems one would realize that trying to sell something you might want to take the initiative to make it presentable to a perspective buyer. First impressions are quite powerful. We liked the coach and floor plan but couldn't get past the filth. The salesman was also a little pushy trying to get a commitment and deposit. After considering the pros and cons we walked away. We went elsewhere and did find a motorhome that fit us perfectly, made the purchase and are very happy campers. Buyer beware, pay attention and don't be pressured. read more

RUN AWAY Service department is a complete failure to launch. No communication. Will keep your RV for months, for simple things. Bought a brand new Tiffen Motorcoach. Had it for a month, took it in with a very simple list of things to fix. Should have been done in a week, tops. They've now had it TWO MONTHS!!!!! it's not that they don't have parts. They just haven't gotten around to it. The one guy who calls occasionally, genuinely scares me. I wouldn't trust him to fix a skateboard. He literally has zero clue what he is doing. Travel trailer less than a year old, was leaking and they refused to repair it, they said they didn't have time after it sat on their lot for a week.. Lack of communication in the entire maintenance department. Took trailer in on a Thursday appointment @ 1:00pm they said warranty work would be completed by Monday morning, showed up Monday morning to drive back to Dallas and they hadn't even touched the trailer! Whaaaaat!!! Asked David when it would be completed, he shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know. Asked to speak to the manager who then after much discussion said it would be done by end of day. Went to pick it up Tuesday morning waited 45 minutes and finally asked them to hunt it down so that I could just hook it up and start the long drive back to Dallas,.. SMH. This is all just part of the story. Worst service EVER! Seller beware!!! SEAN MILLER is the exact definition of a sleezy used car salesman. Do not come here to buy or sell. I brought my RV for consignment. He lied every step of the way. They offered $20,000 as my flat return stating that they don't do percentage and that they would only list it for $25,000 for a "quick sale". They listed and sold it for $34,000 (over 40% commission). Then the real corruption started. They tried to say that the vehicle was now "damaged" but don't worry "our guys" can diagnose and fix it but that would come out of my $20,000 dollar check. Keep in mind, they did a 2 hour inspection prior to agreeing to the consignment and had stated everything was good. Not only that but I had my own bumper to bumper inspection done prior to taking it in. If there is any damage it was done while on their property and in their possession. They are corrupt and dishonest and will try and steal from you every step of the way. Thank goodness I was able to get my RV back in one piece. *Update* Was able to sell my RV and got $7,000 more by not going through DeMontrond. Last week completed purchase of a 2014 Tiffin Phaeton 40' Diesel Pusher from Demontrand RV in Conroe and want to give a shout out to them for a great purchase experience. Buying one of these expensive and complex machines is not a quick and easy process and there are always challenges. We had an inspection done by RV Services & Solutions, who also get a shout out for doing a great job. They found some things that are inevitable and Demontrand took care of all of them (that is saying a lot!). When the deal closed, the unit was ready to go and I took it on a Thanksgiving trip to San Antonio Area with no significant problems. Some "operator errors" were tackled and solved. DeMontrond RV posted an advertisement in Facebook. On the first line, it stated in all caps WE WILL BUY YOUR RV. At the bottom of the ad, there was a link to a form, which also said WE WILL BUY YOUR RV. I filled out the form, the spent the entire next day texting with one of their salesmen, and agreed on a price for my RV. Upon this agreement, I proceeded to rent a U-Haul to unload all of my possessions from the RV, and cancelled the remainder of my campsite reservations. The next morning I had to call the salesman, who was supposed to get confirmation from management and get back to me. At this time, he said no, it was not a purchase he was negotiating, but the value for a consignment. At no time the previous day did he indicate this was a consignment, and the ad I responded to did say WE WILL BUY YOUR RV. I recently visited the Spring DeMontrond RV location in reference to the repair of my 2022 Venetian Coach. I have heard a lot of negative things about DeMontrond in the pass, but I wanted to give credit where credit is due. I spoke with Mark Hernandez, the new Sales Manager at the Spring location. Mark was not apart of this team when I purchased my coach, but it was like my problem became his problem. Mark was like breath of fresh air. Mark patiently listened to my concerns and backstory, then he went into action and fixed my problem. Really, really disappointed in this dealer. We purchased a used RV from them about a month ago. While we were doing the walk-around inspection, we asked the tech if we could get the canopies rolled out, and he said they could, but with the RV next to yours being so close to the shop, we wouldn't be able to get it out. So, I asked them if there were any issues with the canopies coming out, and he said NO, twice. When we got to the onboard vacuum system, he turned it on, and it ran, so I put my hand over the hole to check for suction and noticed there wasn't any. The tech said I can guarantee you that it works, but the hose has to be hooked up for the vacuum to suck. Well, when we took our RV out for the first trip, we went to put out the front awning, and the awning literally got about 6 inches away from the RV, and it sprung up and flipped up on the roof of the RV. Upon looking at the awning, I noticed that the main replaceable brace that slides up and down on the wall was broken in, two, and had been that way for some time as there was oxidation in the crack line on the part. Second, we went to use the vacuum and hooked the hose up to find out that the vacuum didn't actually work even though it was running. Upon further inspection, the interior hose was no longer hooked to the vacuum system and had been broken for some time. When we tried to reach our salesperson about this Ronnie was not only rude, but basically told us too bad, maybe you should take responsibility for your actions. Well, we would if we hadn't been misled and told by your tech that those items were working and that there was nothing wrong with them when, in fact, there were issues with them. We talked to the manager of the Houston location, Brett, and were told I would look into this, but nothing was ever done or any other correspondence since. DO NOT TRUST DEMONTROND AND STEER CLEAR OF THEM AS THEY WILL NOT HONOR OR MAKE THINGS RIGHT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS EVEN WHEN IT IS THEIR FAULT. read more

Also, steptop latch for access to house batteries was literally ripped out of the wood, left hanging with screws tangled in the carpet. House batteries were strong before routine checkup, need replacing afterwards...probably used Gatorade instead of distilled water to top off electrolyte. We just purchased our very first RV (used) from Demontrond RV. A couple days after the sale we noticed that it didn't have a bumper. We contacted our sales guy and he proceeded to tell us that is was as-is! Now we are on the hook to purchase an $800 bumper! The sad part is that my husband actually said something to the salesman about how it was impossible to reach the ladder (not knowing that there was supposed to be a bumper there to stand on). The salesman (David Pena) just acted dumb about it. He had to know it was missing, but chose not to say a word. Bought a class a coach from them. It was an excellent experience. They were very nice, direct, no BS, and have done everything they promised. They also have a warranty that covers all your mechanicals of the Home for life if you have annual inspections. Nationwide plan for your generator, AC, etc that doesn't cost you a dime, as a value add. We have some warranty work that needs to happen and all the parts have been ordered. I want to start off by saying that we really enjoy our motor home. With all of the issues we've had we still love it. This is where the review turns negative. If you are looking to purchase a new/used RV, please run from this place! We have never had a worse experience with a dealership (or business) than this. They absolutely do not care at all about how much you paid or what your issue is. It simply will not be fixed correctly or in a timely manner. I'll spare you the details, but when we do purchase another motor home (and we will) it will not be from this place. If you have the Forever Warranty, you don't have to take it to Demontrond for inspection or repairs. You can take it to a Professional Repair facility and ensure they follow the inspection guidelines on the contract. The Maintenance coupon you received with the paperwork must also be submitted along with it. Please read the contract carefully for more details. We will never go back to this place to have the oil changed or even replace a 5 amp fuse. There's just not anything good to say about our experience. Every negative review I read we have experienced similar issues. The sales process was marginal at best even with stellar credit and financials. Just do yourself a big favor and look elsewhere. We bought our used Tiffin from Larry at DeMontrond the price was reasonable and we love the RV. The RV was supposed to be cleaned and serviced before we picked it up. None of this was done. Don't pay the $700-$800 for the new owner instruction demonstration and driving assistance. It is a waste of time and money. The guy who did the walk around went through everything fast and left out a lot of relevant info. We recorded the demonstration to make sure we had everything we needed to get started and could reference the info. We did not. We found better information and demonstrations on YouTube. I travel for work so my husband and I began searching for a travel trailer. Our search brought us here. I found several online that were within our budget and had the appeal we were looking for. We were eager to meet Eddie on Monday and get to pick one that would meet our travel needs. Eddie picked up on what we were looking for rather quickly. He showed us the few that I asked to see and a couple more he thought were also fitting. We decided on one he selected. We expressed concern about a time crunch we were on and wanted to know if it was possible to get approved for financing and sign the contract before I left out of state again 2 days later. He assured us that it should be done before I left but if not they could have my husband sign and overnight the paperwork to me via FedEx for completion. They requested a $1000 deposit (not including down payment) to start the process. We complied and received a call the following afternoon from the finance department. They said all was approved and paperwork should be ready shortly. Not receiving another call and nearing the end of business, we followed up. We were told the finance guy left for the day. Eddie told my husband he could come in Saturday at 2 pm and they would FedEx it to me afterwards. Not hearing anything to the contrary all week, my husband starts the hour drive to the dealership. He receives a call from Cassidy with the finance department telling him not to come because they cannot send the contract via FedEx to me. This is the first we've heard from her or anyone else about this. Rightfully upset, he calls me to inform me of this. I call the dealership directly to inquire about the problem and speak to Al. He's quick to give an excuse that they needed a light bill to deflect attention away from the core problem and turfs me to Cassidy. I immediately email him the light bill requested and return the topic back to the FedEx arrangement that is no longer available. Not understanding where things went south, I feel that I'm deserving of an explanation. They're offended by my inquiry and defensive. After several calls, I'm told that I must fly back in and sign the contract. Telling them that we've been misled all week, the only way I'm booking a flight is if my husband signs the contract that day and it's available when they open Monday morning for my signature so I can be on the next flight out. They agree but Cassidy in all her unprofessionalism tells my husband that she has to drop her kid off at school so I need to make myself available at 10 am and delay my return flight. I email Al and Cassidy responds with you can come another day if the later time is unacceptable. She also welcomes me to get outside financing if I'm not agreeable to the arrangement. No! No! No! I've jumped through hoops, booked an insanely expensive flight, over a holiday weekend, and at my own expense, with minimal notice to be there Monday morning. Al offers a whopping $300 off a $30,000 travel trailer and free delivery for my inconvenience but only after I request some sort of financial incentive after the utter nightmare that is his staff. Last one is the one that troubles me while in there some one opened my side dor and stole items out of my trailer. When I when to complain I got the run around from the service manager .They did not replace the items that we stolen with the new items like that was taken. To start with don was great at the Texas city location. After that all the problems begins. We were first told the price of the rv was 15,900 we said okay that's a good deal and we're offered an amount for our trade. We went ahead and did everything then a few days later we were tricked to come back in because a lower payment was found. That turned out to not be the case at all. They were not happy because they estimated the trade wrong and had to re do the deal even after the papers were signed. The rv was also serviced as they say and yet there are many issues still to be fixed. Also they do not flush the tanks on it so you may receive someone's sewage from before. I will never be back to this dealership to purchase again. read more
