We had an extremely disappointing experience with Demonts Moving. While we were away, one of their trucks drove down our street and their trailer broke our internet cable going to our house. Instead of notifying us or asking a neighbor to contact us, the driver simply taped a handwritten note to our door saying his trailer was too high and that he broke the cable. There was no phone number, no company contact information, and no attempt to ensure we actually received the message. We returned home with no internet and had to figure out ourselves what had happened. We also work from home, and now have no internet. When I called the company, rather than apologizing or taking responsibility, I was told it was somehow our fault because our wire "wasn't high enough." The internet companies install this, not us. This was despite their own driver's written note admitting his trailer was too high and that he broke the cable. Accidents happen, and we understand that. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of communication, the failure to notify anyone while we were away, and then being blamed for the damage afterward. Customer service and accountability were both extremely disappointing. Do not use this transport company. 4 hours later and our internet service can't fix it until Monday.
