Before I purchased my current home, I had known about Den Defenders from posts on Instagram that somehow caught my algorithm. It wasn't until recently when my father-in-law brought up I should get a screen door to get better cross-breeze in my house that I decided to shop around. I got quotes from Den Defenders, Anderson Renewal (who would then connect me with a third-party), and checked out Lowe's. I wasn't too impressed with the options at Lowe's and even less impressed with how my handyman explained how he'd go about the install. Anderson actually required that I needed to buy a new door from them, so that was out. And while Den Defenders wasn't exactly Lowe's cheap, I liked the style, the material, the sturdiness of the CrimSafe model, and ultimately felt really good about what my consultant explained would have to do to install the door. The lead time for my door was supposed to be May 15th, but they ended up getting the material and installing on April 23rd. Juan Andres was my technician. He was prompt, he explained everything he was going to do. There were even other details put in that I didn't realize was going to happen, such as caulking the gaps and installing a door sweep to really make sure the door was neatly sealed. Paid a down payment for two windows to protect against golf balls- got a call week before installation need a part ( fire escape) and not showing up. No follow up, no time line, called the number given and got " we are all busy helping other people". Literally called for a week straight, went to the national line, got all the apologies, someone finally called saying parts are delayed and should be in in two weeks. Received another call parts are in, should get a call next week to schedule- no one called. Called them week two, was told I would receive a call by end of week, " I promise, I will personally call you"- no one called me. Following week- received an email, schedule this date and time, which I never approved or agreed I will be home. Following week, I called and they said they can not come that day, and schedule two weeks from then. I agreed on the date time, being 150 days ( 5 months) from the down payment. Received text day prior we are coming, between this time frame. Day of installation at 6am, received at text "disregard previous message" We might be able to come later in the afternoon? Would not refund my money, disputed with Visa for not fulfilling the agreement on installation. Den Defenders wasted so much of my time to receive the run around. All the times I called to get a voice mail, time wasted moving my schedule, the approval I had to go with the HOA, the times i moved the furniture for them to come inside and install. Quality and workmanship of the door is great. The technician (Michael Redding) who installed the door was professional, polite and went above and beyond to help us out. This is our second security door we have had installed by Mike Mobile. I would %100 recommend the company and their product. The first security door we had installed was our front door. We loved it so much that we ordered a second security door for our back sliding door. The not so great: It took three early morning (sorry but we can't make it out) rescheduled installations appointments. Each event was understandable and due to unforeseen logistical circumstances by Mike's Mobile. The issue I had was that I felt nobody cared that we had to be rescheduled three times in a row to get the door installed. I understand that you have a business that runs on a schedule but but if your going to reschedule a client due to staffing/shipping/logistics on the part of the company, hopefully you make that client a priority (or at least try). Each time we rescheduled we were pushed back over a week. On the third reschedule, we asked to speak with the office manager and we were told we'd receive a call from the operations manager; we're still waiting for the call. The first door we had zero issues with scheduling or install. The second door was where we had issues. Hopefully this is a one-off experience as I plan on continuing to use there services. I'll say it again, the quality and workmanship of their product is amazing and the products we purchased have a lifetime warranty. Full disclosure, they payed me $20 to post a review. I was not given any instruction as to what I posted or how I rated the company, just that I post a review with a picture. Completely understandable, everybody reads reviews and this is the best advertisement for your company. End of Rant. read more

Just got our Tru view installed by Juan today. I must say, it is worth it for the price and I'm loving it. A way much nicer than the traditional security door which is not very appealing to the eyes. With the Tru View, the facade of the house has a much more curve appeal to it. The installation is not rushed and Juan was very attentive to detail. The security doors are custom made so it will take weeks from the time ordered, to the time installed. But for me, it was worth the wait. I called and spoke wIth them on the phone and they can about 2-3 times to measure the windows, they did a great job explaining the process and the time it was going to take to finish the job. I heard about Mike's Mobile from my neighbor who recently got all their windows and doors covered with security screens. I called myself and got a quote (these are not cheap!!). After about 3 weeks they came out and installed my security screen door. It was a little more costly than I originally anticipated but it's custom fit, installed and doesn't even compare to the jail-bar security doors I remember as a kid! I leave my door open all night to get a breeze and don't think twice about being secure. Super random- I saw on their truck that they service gas fireplaces and they fixed mine in the same visit. I can see why they had to pay someone to give them a good review. In May 2022 I ordered a security screen door from Mike's Mobile (covering the San Jose area) and paid a hefty deposit for a beautiful screen door. An installation date was set in late July. In June I got a call from Mike's Mobile saying that they would be unable to give me the door promised. I said that in that case I would just like a refund. Shortly after our conversation, I got a call and text from someone who identified himself as Mike of Mike's Mobile saying that they would be able to accommodate my request after all; the screen door had not yet been cut. Then I got a call saying they had pushed out the installation date to late September. I was shocked but really wanted the screen, so went with it. When the Mike's Mobile gentleman arrived on the installation date in September, he told me that the screen he brought was not the one promised. I told him I expected a refund within a week. He promised to pass this on to his manager. A day or so later, a manager called to see if they could still sell me a screen door. I said I had lost all confidence in them and just wanted my money back. On September 26, having seen no refund, I called Mike's Mobile. The representative put me on hold so she could speak with the Finance Dept. Manager. She returned, saying that they would issue the refund and I should see it in my account within 3-5 business days. I asked if that meant I would get it that week. She said no, but by Monday (Oct 3). It appeared on my account on October 4. Considering the back and forth and the length of time they sat on my deposit without ever providing the promised screen door, I don't feel that they operated in good faith. read more
