Fun crowd and friendly service. Went with a friend instead of traveling to belle chasse and fighting traffic

Solid. Worth visiting. Friendly, even to those from out of town. Swing in for some cold beer and conversation.

You need a password to get in (which you find on their Instagram or Facebook), and that alone makes it feel fun and exclusive. It's located on the bottom level of the apartment complex on the right side near the main road, there is an electric ring type doorbell you press and someone opens the window for the password. Then the door is opened. The space is beautiful and stylish with a cozy, upscale feel. There is also a sign posted for appropriate attire required, which adds to the classy atmosphere and helps keep the vibe elegant. Building parking is located on the south side and towards the second apartment building. You can make a reservation on their website if you want, but they did mention that their reservation system can be a little unreliable at times. I had a reservation and they were still able to get me in with no problem, but it didn't seem like they saw or recognized the reservation when I arrived. They only serve tapas and small plates, which is perfect for light snacking while you enjoy drinks. The cocktails were really good, fairly priced, and the service was friendly and relaxed. The bathroom was clean, but it is shared (not separated by gender). There is one bathroom inside the bar and an additional one located outside the main bar door in a different location. One small suggestion would be the lighting. It was very bright inside, and a darker environment would really help set a better mood and tone to match the speakeasy vibe. Overall, this is a great place if you're looking for a calm, stylish spot with good drinks, decent prices, and a more mature crowd. It's perfect for a quiet date night or just a laid-back evening out.

Seasonal menu and standard regular drinks. Good happy hour options 4-7pm. Their tiki menu looked pretty good and popular, but we did not try this time. There was a small birthday party going on, which looked pretty nice if you're for looking to plan something for a group of 10 or so. We got the painkiller, mezcal coquito, old fashioned, and thin mint, all with nice presentation. Friendly, timely service. Would highly recommend.

No music, no food service, or anything that shows that tried to create a nice vibe. It's literally just some chairs on the rooftop. The bar has a bartender, not mixologist, who makes drinks that I can make better at home. The little drinks are served un-garnished in tiny plastic cups and cost $15+. Not to mention they will take whatever tip amount they like out if you forget to close your tab. So my basic plastic cup of lemon, sugar, and a splash of vodka (I can't even call it a lemon drop) was $20. I wish I had taken a photo of how tiny the cups are.

Really disappointing experience…read more Vue honestly felt pretty bare bones to me. Yes, I learned some things about the culture and people of New Orleans and I got a few good pictures but I wouldn't recommend this at all. I was hoping to get a picture with my sister as indicated on the website but I didn't see anyone offer that or see it as an option once we made it there. I thought the mini story in the elevator was fun, short of course but they need to restructure this place I honestly was unimpressed. The website suggest it takes an hour and a half to experience the whole place, we walked the whole place, took pictures, watched 2 videos in well under an hour and a half. The employees were very nice and helpful; maybe I expected to much of Vue but I say temper your expectations.

Hey, if you're visiting New Orleans try out a day or 3 in the Mississippi Delta. The Le Matidora…read moreInn is the RT66 place to stay near the Big Easy. Located between Hwy 23 & Hwy 11 in history rich Plaquemines Parish on the Mississippi River. It's a 15 min. private flight or 1.5 hr. drive south from New Orleans. It's a moderately priced good 'ole southern fish camp style operation very close to Tuna Town (Venice, Louisiana). Venice is where the Mississippi River empties into the Gulf of Mexico - great for inshore & offshore saltwater fishing. Le Matidora will appeal to everyone from fishers to business travelers. To me, Le Matidora Inn is part of my life-long Great American Road Trip. It allows me to dip into a southern delta side-order of American life. Here are facility details: Le Matidora Inn is a converted residence with a unique 1st floor wood paneled common kitchen, entertainment & bar area for self-serve food prep. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed for cooking the fish you caught and other meals and crafting cocktails. The 2nd floor has updated rooms with a southern style balcony. Private cabins are available for groups. Outside is the salt water pool and a large lounge area for relaxing after a day on the Gulf. Bottom-line - a retro southern vibe with all the hi-tech necessities you will need. Now the fun stuff: Owner Malcolm Lincoln ("TMac") will fly you to & from the Inn. It's 15 minutes from New Orleans. TMac gave me a fly around of the city for a view from 1,500 ft. Private & General Aviation pilots can land & taxi right to the Inn. Get details from T-Mac or Rosemary 504-564-9300. Airport ID LS84. When at Venice Marina the Cajun egg rolls, cheese sticks & extra oysters complimented the Margaritas. On the water: Jonathan Ruffin/Venice Charters & his nephew Dylan took us 70 miles out at 5,000 ft. depth - a pair of Metairie firemen who drive a 32' Contender like a Maserati fire truck. Tuna, Rainbow Runners & Barricuda dominated our day. Everyone needs to see up close the big oil rigs on the Gulf - oil rigs are artificial reefs that are full of baitfish & larger gamefish. Also, salute the roughnecks onboard these engineering marvels - they are the first step in fueling our economy and our boats so we can slay 'em. USA!!!
