I was shocked at Allerton's price, which was completely ridiculous. They were at least £5,000 more than four of the companies, who all priced roughly the same, even out-pricing Everest, which shocked me. They come out at almost £8,000 more than the others for replacing all the windows and doors. Based on these prices, I decided not to go ahead with them, as I don't think they can justify their prices, regardless how good they claim to be. They use Rehau windows, which a lot of companies use, so the only thing they can use for price justification, is their quality of installation.

I guess a lot of home lighting shops do this to try to sang a few impulse buys from people who come in to buy the lights, but I generally think the items they choose are a bit gaudy. Still, reasonable prices, and as always it's a great idea to support small, local businesses.

Unfortunately one of the lampshades - when I had unwound all the cellophane around it had a slight mark- so I got in touch with Grange West and within a couple of days a replacement shade arrived free of charge. What a fantastic shop. I wish they weren't the other side of the country to me as I would be in there every week.

The chaps were very helpful and even brought it out and filled the car up so that helped create a good impression. However I was also looking for something a bit different and was really disappointed with their ranges of very modern tiles- they certainly didn't strike me as being very modern at all! So all in all, the service was good, plenty of immediate parking, great prices but sadly the overall range let them down, but you can't have everything can you?

Our experience of Dee Windows was totally negative. We accepted their quote to replace a bedroom…read morewindow and window sill in April 2018. We didn't get the paperwork for the work until September which we returned with the deposit they asked for. The subsequently contacted us and asked for an additional payment saying that the window sill was not included in the original quote. We asked them to check the paperwork which they did and confirmed that it was included. They came out in October and made a judgement call not to carry out the work because of the severe weather and we rearranged for a few days later. They did not turn up for this and did not contact us to say why. We chased this up and were told that the office manager would get back to us but he didn't. The following day we received a brief letter from Dee Windows saying that they had returned our deposit. This is a quote from the letter: "We do not wish to carry out the window replacement for you." No explanation was given.

The quality of the windows is very good and the fitting was quick and efficient. They did crack a pane during fitting the bathroom window but they apologised and fitted a new pane a week or so later. We have recommended them to others as our experience was a very good one and five or six years later, the windows are performing well and not showing any signs of degredation.

I am over 75 living on a pension and they have taken a massive toll on my health and finances and do not care at all. if it wasnt for my dog i dont know what i may have done. Do not trust these people. They have recently moved to new premises in Boras by the look of things, probably to many people looking for refunds. Just look at the images and tell me if you think i should have paid them a penny
