She is a great communicator, making sure everyone knows what's happening now and what comes next. She has a million ideas but lets the couple lead with their own style. She is loved and respected by vendors, even those she was working with for the first time. She is unflappable, projecting a reassuring calm and confidence no matter what happens--including a wedding crasher! She absolutely loves her job, and it shows. While the 18 months leading up to the wedding were marked by smooth communication and helpful guidance, the wedding day itself was marred by disorganization and a complete lack of coordination. The Breakdown: * Pre-Wedding: Love was attentive and helpful during the planning process, offering valuable insights and support. We met monthly in the beginning and twice a month as the wedding date got closer. Unfortunately, this positive experience did not translate to the actual wedding day. * Ceremony Disaster: Our ceremony started an hour late due to the late arrival of chairs. The vendor had their own internal issues but this was a direct result of Love failing to include setup in the contract, leaving the vendor understaffed. To make matters worse, guests received no guidance once doors were open, leading to confusion and a rushed entrance. The wedding party was also unable to sit. I instructed Love to reserve the first two rows for the wedding party so that they were seated during the ceremony rather than standing with the bride/groom. However that did not happen, which we had clearly communicated and rehearsed. Total confusion as they could not sit as rehearsed.  * Missing Items and Oversights: Throughout the day, we encountered a series of missing items and oversights: no lighter for the unity candle (had to ask someone from the audience for a lighter -- very embarrassing), no microphones for the ceremony (majority of the guests could not hear us), 15 missing uplights at the reception, chairs/place settings were missing from tables and guest were unable to sit, and even our bouquets were not readily available for photos. * Lack of Communication and Awareness: Love did not communicate with us that the chairs were late and ceremony time had shifted. I had to ask what was going on and why we had not begun, at this point we were 20 minutes past start time. Love demonstrated a concerning lack of awareness regarding the wedding day timeline. She started speeches during dinner service, creating a chaotic atmosphere with speeches competing with the clatter of dishes. * Poor Coordination and Execution: The reception "room flip" was handled poorly, with guests witnessing the transition instead of enjoying cocktail hour. Furthermore, meal cards were not placed at the bridal party table, causing confusion for the catering staff. The day was so chaotic that we forgot to do our welcome/thank you speech and Love did not even remind us.  * Unresponsive and Slow: Love was consistently difficult to locate the entire day and seemed to move at a slow pace, despite the numerous issues unfolding. She was missing the majority of the wedding but she did manage to get instagram content. A few of my guests were asking who/where is the planner. She was missing in action and when I initially voiced my concerns she was not apologetic at all.  * Lack of Leadership: Love was largely absent and unresponsive, and her team seemed completely unaware of the plans and timeline, despite prior discussions and rehearsals. In a post-wedding meeting, I expressed my dissatisfaction. To add insult to injury, Love offered a paltry $800 (only 10% of her total cost) refund in exchange for signing an NDA, preventing me from writing a review, which was a huge slap in the face. I politely declined as this is unacceptable considering the thousands of dollars spent on her services and the significant distress caused on what should have been a joyous occasion. While Love may excel at pre-wedding planning, her inability to execute on the actual day created a chaotic and disappointing experience. I urge other couples to seriously consider whether they are willing to risk a similar outcome despite the initial positive interactions. On one day that every woman dreams about, I was literally left in tears and filled with frustration. My dream wedding was literally robbed from me. While no wedding goes off unhitched with zero problems, no one should experience that many hiccups given the money and time that was spent. Also be aware as her instagram does not depict my disastrous wedding day. Granite the day was still beautiful and the pictures she has posted are gorgeous, thanks to our amazing photographer. But it should have been 100x better with the amount of money we put into it ($60K plus) and over a year of planning. Not only was it immediately clear that they possessed the hard skills & work ethics we were looking for in a planner (they are organized, communicative, and knowledgeable about south Asian vendors), but they also made it their first priority to truly understand who we were as individuals, as a couple, and what we were looking for in order for our event to be perfect in our eyes. Because of his dedication to us our wedding really reflected our personalities - it ended up being exactly what my husband and I dreamed of. And because of this, we have the Ace of Events team to thank for creating something so deeply personal. We'd heard horror stories about wedding planners from family and friends but with Ace of Events - not only did they exceed our expectations but we actually had so much fun throughout the wedding weekend working with them. My husband and I are extremely picky with how we like things done, but Ani really handled all of the craziness we threw their way with so much kindness. While we must have asked a trillion questions, had to make last minute venue changes due to weather, and much more, Ace of Events was so patient with us and really guided us in a way that all of these tasks created no stress. On the day of our wedding we were hit with multiple curve balls, but Ani always took the upper hand and made it his responsibility to handle everything for us so we (the bride, groom & our families) wouldn't have to stress anything. The wedding weekend was everything we envisioned, and more. I want to end this review by saying, I have no complaints about Ace of Events, they were beyond amazing that even our guests recognized their hard work and were surprised of how well and smoothly they handled everything. I especially liked how they kept all the vendors (eg: venue, caterer, florist, photographer) in the loop and on track. Their "day-of" coordination was top-notch. No wedding goes perfect, but with Pedestal Event's help the few glitches that occurred were handled behind the scenes and went unnoticed. The wedding turned out to be my daughter's "dream wedding and more", and I attribute much of that to the fantastic planning and coordination from Pedestal Events.

I would like to apologize for taking this long to send this letter. We have had a few deaths in our family to deal with and I am just now able to get my thoughts together. I would like to begin with thanking Ms. Kitty who I dealt with regarding the payments. This event was put on by 7 siblings, and 19 grandchildren, each paying a portion and living all over the United States. So the headache of that situation was handled with sincere grace and professionalism by Ms. Kitty. She never showed any frustration, even though I was ready to strangle my family. Secondly, and not in order of appreciation, we would like to thank Mr. Richard who was the EVERYTHING to the event. He was so accommodating to my craziness. I am a very very particular person whose OCD really gets out of control sometimes, and he never wavered in his professionalism. I kept changing things, and adding things, and requesting things, and needing things and on and on....and he always said, yes we can do that. Even up to the day of the event...he made so many accommodations for me and my family. He has the best temperament for a person in his position, because you never know when he is fed up with your request and changes. And now to the event!! When I chose the Westminster location it was because of the price, so I did not think we would get the same service that I was used to getting at the Security location which I have been in attendance dozens of times. WRONG!! I can't put into words how we were treated at this event by the staff of Martins Westminster. Every request, change and extras were done to perfection; and it was so beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and well-seasoned (which was one of my many requests). The interactions that my guest had with the staff were pleasant and professional. The event was a memorable one for my Mother (Ms Ella Byrd), that she calls me every day to reminisce about it. I will choose this location over All the Martin's locations. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent.
