Disastrous Experience with Hennrietta Ott from Hottcreations…read more We had several conversations via phone, texts, diagrams, mock up and two days before the wedding we had an in person walk through. I repeatedly request more in person meetings unfortunately they would get canceled. Our wedding day, meant to be a celebration of love and unity, turned into a nightmare which left me in tears, largely due to the incompetence and abandonment by our wedding planner, Hennrietta Ott from Hottcreations. We approached her with trust and excitement, only to be let down at every turn. Hennrietta Ott breached the contract by abandoning her duties immediately after the ceremony concluded. Throughout the planning process, we emphasized specific details, particularly regarding the seating arrangement, which she completely disregarded. The seating arrangement was so disorganized that it caused my wife to halt the ceremony after i reached the alter in order to seat our wedding party and family appropriately. Despite our explicit instructions of 3 rows of 4 on each side of the aisle with the first row being reserved for family and wedding party, Hennrietta ott provided 2 rows of 5 on each side of the aisle with no reserved seating, leaving some guests without a place to sit and causing unnecessary confusion. Promises were made but not fulfilled. Hennrietta assured us of a circle arch for our ceremony, but instead, we were presented with a squared pillar. Tragically, Hennrietta failed to include a photo of my Maid of Honor, who had passed away months prior, despite assuring us she would create a beautiful memorial setup. This oversight was not only hurtful but also indicative of her inability to prioritize and honor our requests. The absence of a promised memorial for my deceased Maid of Honor added immense emotional distress to an already chaotic day. During the ceremony, it became evident that things were amiss. Guests were locked out of the venue, including our harpist, who was left without instructions. The officiant was supposed to have already been waiting at the alter however, he was instructed to walked down during the bridal processional. When we approached Hennrietta about the issues, she displayed a lack of accountability and empathy, refusing to make eye contact and failing to provide reassurance about the remainder of the event. She abandoned us at the reception without any instructions As the reception commenced, Hennrietta was nowhere to be found, leaving her assistant, to manage the affair single-handedly. While her assistant attempted to salvage the situation, it was clear she was ill-prepared for the responsibility. My wife and I were left to navigate the reception without guidance, resulting in a delayed meal and missed opportunities for meaningful interactions with our guests. Despite the ceremony's outward appearance, the numerous issues that arose due to Hennrietta's negligence marred what should have been a joyous occasion. Her inability to fulfill her contractual obligations and her absence during crucial moments left us deeply disappointed and embarrassed. Despite the commendable efforts of her assistant, our experience with Hennrietta Ott was nothing short of disastrous. While she may possess potential as a wedding planner and day-of coordinator, her actions on our wedding day do not warrant recommendation to others in search of a reliable and competent professional in the industry.

And Matt and my fiancé came up with an idea to incorporate special grilled cheeses into our apps menu, directly referencing our first date!!!!! and the Zeffert & Gold baker purchased a heart shaped cake pan just for us!! Z&G really helped us bring our dream wedding to life, they understood our vision and helped build it out and execute it. And Matt was very familiar with our venue--much more familiar than we were--and had very helpful floorplans for us to reference when doing seating charts! It was such a good idea to have the ceremony on the first floor and cocktail + reception both on the third floor. We would have never known unless Matt hadn't weighed in and shared his expertise and experience!!! AND THE PROFESSIONALISM--Matt was on time for every walk-through, every call, every meeting--way ahead of us every time, for sure.
