The Gallery has changing art exhibitions as well as a variety of fine art items for one of a kind gifts. The artists is the Williams Mill studios are open every Friday and Saturday to the public 12 - 5 p.m. , but the gallery hosts a special show of the Mills artists works twice a year - in the spring and special Christmas art show annually. It is a terrific place to buy unique fine art works & craft items right where they are created as well as to meet the artist who make them. The Gallery is friendly and personable - one need not feel intimidated at entering this gallery! It works hard to promote and support the work of regional artists. The shows change every 2 - 4 weeks, are always interesting. Openings usually include refreshments and "Meet the Artists". It is a wonderful place to buy paintings, blown glass, jewellery, pottery, sculpture and more. Located in picturesque Glen Williams (a true glen by Georgetown) only 15 minutes north of Winston Churchill Blvd and the 401, you will be delighted by this lovely gallery and arts centre. 5 minutes south of Terra Cotta, near the Bruce Trail.

And, then, you had to wait for the rope to be opened a few minutes later to get out. I think there are things that can be done in this space, and a way to make it really exciting, but I just don't think it's there yet. Still, worth checking out if you're in the area, because - why not?

I really dislike galleries that are too snooty to even say 'hi'. Granted not everyone that comes in will make purchases but a little kindness always goes a long way. They have a basement as well that houses many large works.

WORKshop is a very cool place!…read more First of all, note that all of the art on display here are somehow related to being Chinese. Mostly, it relates to being Chinese by displaying art created by Chinese people in Canada. So I guess it's not a surprise that this gallery features artwork that incorporates technology. WORKshop is located on the concourse level of 80 Bloor Street West, where that Extremefitness is. For those of you who don't speak English, Concourse is always the level below the level which can be accessed from the street. The level accessed through the street is always the first floor. Get it, got it, good. Half of the floor space is for exhibits, the other half is a workspace. I guess you can come in where they have programs and machinery for artists to work. There is a variety of art throughout the gallery, from silk stitchings, to electronic fabrics, to ceramic sculptures. The reception/guide/curator/administrator is happy to walk visitors through the displays, giving details to the art. It's a lot of fun for a relatively small space. It was beautiful, and very expensive. It's a good place to just kill some time, and get to experience the art created by the Sino Canadians in the local or non-local area. Some of the stuff are really interesting. Like all galleries, they have events. I've not been invited to any of them, but I'm sure they're great...... I do prefer it if they would change their name from WORKshop to workSHOP.

Had time before dinner in the area, so decided to grab a drink…read more Had heard about their matcha drinks being really good, so we chose one, and also another drink. Green Beard tasted great! Good combination or matcha, soy, and kinako. Really enjoyed their Seasonal Drink, Oolong Dew, as well. The plum & lemon-cured cherry tomatoes in it were so delicious! The shop itself showcases so many beautiful ceramics! There is super limited seating (2 two-seaters and counter) so you will see a lot of people standing and walking around to check out all the pieces and furniture around the shop. The backroom is also limited for the tea tasting experience only. Overall, the staff working were friendly, informative, and made great drinks! Paid parking lot behind the shop, so if driving, it's still pretty convenient.

This place has DIY written all over it. First the racket…read morefrom the punk band The Lord Almighty's playing out on the back patio first getting my attention to the drug references in the signage out front along with a welcoming park bench adjacent to the entrance and the bright white gallery space and picture window drawing me in like a moth to a light on a damp dark night. Once inside you need to wheel yourself around to see the art due to the narrowness of the space. Next there is a door dude to take your donation to the days festivities if applicable along with a small bar stand selling beer for $6 a tall boy. Out on the back patio there's an assortment of junk to possibly sit on to watch the show or enjoy the great outdoors similar to a trashy campsite. Juxtaposed onto general Chinatown landscape this is quite unusual. If you're nearby it's something different to check out.
