He explained the intended laparoscopic procedure, but also stated since it had been a few days since the pain started and most appendix burst within 24-48 hours it would more than likely be a full blown open surgical procedure. He even expressed concern for my bikini line, but since I am a 60 year old male and my beach roving days are way behind me I said it was OK. Slice away. He did try laparoscopically, but it was full blown since the appendix had perforated. Lucky me. I was in the hospital for 5 days and he was by every single morning before I could blink. His skill, communication and bedside manner are exemplary and he has a wonderful sense of humor. Follow-up at his office has also been a 5 star experience, as long as I'm rating. Every call and encounter with everyone within his office has been wonderful. They are all kind, caring, and of course, skillful individuals. If you are facing any kind of surgery, especially life or death, he's the guy. Don't think twice.
