Happy Truck Month! Menholt Chevy celebrates this momentous occasion twelve times a year. It's always Truck Month around here. When I went to Cody, I thought I'd go check out the truck selection. In the Rodeo Capitol of Wyoming, you'd figure there'd be some sweet trucks. Boy, howdy! They've got some incredible trucks! Deer smackin' squirrel squashin' drivin' machines! I was impressed with the low prices for the good quality. It seems that y'all Cody folk are rough on the trucks, you're not driving these Chevys down Park Avenue, they're ranchin' and huntin' trucks. I was quickly met by a salesman who answered all my questions about the truck inventory. For supply chain issues and used car shortages nationwide, Menholt still had an ample selection of farm trucks ready to roll off the lot. In the end, I didn't end up cowboying up with a Chevy. I wish I had. Prices were clearly marked on the windshield. The trucks were clean and shiny. Menholt also raffles off one of their trucks to benefit local charities. Their prize truck was parked in front of the Hotel Irma. I noticed the Menholt also supports the local high school sports and other local charities and causes. read more

$1400 out of pocket due to their service department. Went in to get my truck steering checked, was told what the issue was - I was leaving town the next day so wasn't able to have them fix it. Got home, had someone here do the work that Denny Menholt charged me to diagnose - turns out it wasn't at all what they diagnosed and had to then fork out an extra 600 on top of the 1400 it cost to fix the non-existent issue. Either their service department is inept, or they were trying to fleece me. Be warned, I'm sure they love to target tourists, but as a local I'll be sure to spread the word. read more

We took our GMC truck in thinking we did the right thing having the transmission replaced wrong wrong wrong! They did replace it $7,000 later,it's still not right,first off very piss poor job they never cleaned the old transmission fluid out from underneath of it so it kept leaking! Took it back as it was having shimming, going on with acceleration, , big fat Don, the manager what a guy! They had it for 2 weeks trying to figure it out, solution he said synthetic oil, bullshit! Not only when we did get the truck back it was filthy inside and out running boards are really scratched. They burned up all the fuel. I would NEVER recommend them for any kind of service! What a complete fiasco we had went in wanting to trade in our 2015 Chevy Silverado and got a fair trade in price on another truck an older truck 2005 Chevy Silverado it took a day to work out the financing of which we were in Yellowstone we finally came to acceptable terms and agreed-upon purchasing the truck the next day I asked what time the sales person would be in he said around nine after he got out of a meeting the long story short by 12 o'clock they had sold the vehicle that I had worked out the financing spent two days negotiating out from under me I'd let them know that I would be in at noon to sign the papers and drive off with the truck. No trust worthiness whatsoever from this dealership none this isn't the first time I've heard of this happening either so sad that in a small town like Cody Wyoming there's a dealership that will conduct business such as this stay away stay away imagine what they'll do if there's a problem with your vehicle send you down the road read more

I needed a new car battery and rather than trying to do it myself-which was my 1st mistake-I went to Denny Menholt in Cody. My 2nd mistake was thinking that they were anything like the Denny Menholt in Billings, MT. I inquired about a new battery-I wanted an AC Delco and was told $155-I was OK with that. When the guy came in and gave me a report on my windshield wipers I got leery. Then when the bill came and it was $225 for a new battery and a 5 minute install I was flabbergasted to say the least! I couldn't very well return it ,so I thought-and was I charged for them to look at my wipers when I did not care about those?! What else did they check and do to inflate my labor rate?! Next time-there won't be a next time there-but I will tell them to take it out and give me the old one and leave if I'm not charged accordingly. Then when I went to pay using my Denny Menholt card, I was informed they do not take it...? Are you not Denny Menholt?! I will never go back nor will I refer anyone there. read more

We were camping in yellowstone when our water pump began leaking. We called and spoke with James who was very forthcoming over the phone. Their price was better than our local dealership back home! When we got here they immediately began working on our truck. Gave us a free rental. James called us later and gave us a run down of what needed repair as well as offered some suggestions for maintenance, which we decided to do as they prices were so good.
