Marty was SO good to us. we had a serious water leak problem in our rental motor home from the moment we picked it up in Rapid City. We were traveling from Dubois to Cody and would be staying where we only had electric hookup. We discovered that our water pump was not working. We called ahead and this company had what we needed. When we arrived, the owner came out, assessed our situation and was able to remove the filter that apparently had frozen months earlier and advised that we just live without it. He also had advice on how best to winterize it for the future. He could have replaced the whole pump and made a lot more money. We were very appreciative. read more

I came here based on the Yelp reviews. My fresh water tank was leaking. There were slammed but took the time to acknowledge me right away and try to take a quick look at it and see if they could fix it quickly. The diagnosis was fast and they figured out that the water pump head was cracked and replaced it. I was out of there in about an hour. Marty and the other guy (didn't get his name) were friendly, fast, knowledgeable and skilled. They could have told me to come back hours or days later but showed excellent customer service and seemed great at managing their time and workload. It's sucks to have problems on the road where you're unfamiliar and don't know who is good, but it's great to find shops like this that are trustworthy and competent. Highly recommend!! read more

My RV dealer talked to Marty in Cody WY and set up a shipment, special order large window for Marty to receive and install since I was on the road and the order would take 3 weeks and I planned on being in Cody when the window arrived. Marty agreed to this and when I got there Marty told me the window had arrived 2 days earlier and he returned it because he didn't know anything about a window. I've been traveling for weeks with plastic over the broken window and NOW I have to finish my trip ( Another month ) with plastic over a broken window. The worst of it was that Marty acted like Hey, it's not my fault. He acted like he could care less. NEVER, NEVER, do business with this unreliable jerk! Five stars is right .After I ran over a curb and damaged my exhaust system,a phone call to Park Country RV,Marty said come by and they would inspect the damage.Two hours later we are back on the road again,repairs made and two happy campers. All I can say is these guys know their business and are customer service first. If you are ever in Cody,Wy area and need RV repairs these are the people to call. i expected to have to wait several days to get in for what amounted to a small one hour job. Our Suburban RV furnace quit working while visiting Cody WY so we called an "authorized Suburban repair facility" in Cody listed on the Suburban website. Spoke to Marty, explained the problem, told him the furnace was still under warranty and he said it sounded like the fan motor and to just drop off our RV the next morning and they'd take care of us. So we did. Marty was not in the next day and the tech who diagnosed the problem called (confirmed it was the fan motor which is covered under the warranty) and said they needed money up front to repair the furnace. My husband explained that our warranty info says that we are not to pay upfront for warranty repairs. Specifically our warranty says, "do not pay the service agency for warranty repairs; such payments will not be reimbursed." The tech called Marty and Marty said they wouldn't repair the motor without an upfront payment, basically he wouldn't honor the warranty even though he knew before hand that our problem was with a product still under warranty. We were charged $52.50 for labor to diagnose the issue that they were not willing to honor the warranty for. If Marty does not honor warranties on these products then he should have told us so in the initial phone call especially since he suspected the problem was a part covered under the warranty instead of wasting our time. If you have warranty work done here ask lots of questions before hand!!! THE REST OF THE STORY: We took our RV to Pierce RV in Billings, MT and the problem was a loose wire, NOT THE FAN MOTOR. Our furnace was fixed within a few hours and no warranty hassles, as it should be. read more

I was on a 9 day Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone and Bryce National Park trip when my water heater went bad. I self-diagnosed the problem, and was 95% sure it was a faulty computer board. I made contact with the RV manager at Worland RV Park, who recommended Park County RV. I know it was a long shot, but I drove to Park County RV the next morning and spoke with one of the workers, Harlin, I believe (I'm terrible with names), who was working on another rig. I told him my situation and what I felt was wrong. Harlin grabbed the part and said, "Let's find out." After plugging in the new computer board, the water heater fired up!! Harlin could have easily said, sorry, I'm busy working on this other rig, or he could have charged me for at a 1/2 worth of labor, but he didn't. I purchased the computer board and later installed it myself. Thank you Harlin, for helping out a "passing tourist" in need. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility if you are in an unfortunate situation and need work on your RV. read more

My impression is that the person who runs this place is very experienced. I have also had only one visit here so I would give them the benefit of the doubt. But, I cannot rate it very highly based on my one experience. I dropped off my trailer in the morning with what I thought was a water leak. The assistant with whom I spoke did not seem especially knowlegeable (he admitted he did not know the difference between a gray water and black water tank). I believe he was the one physically doing the diagnosis work that the real RV guy recommended. I was charged $95/hour for labor, and six hours later, they had determined I did not have a water leak. Yes, that came to nearly SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS. I think I would have told them to stop after a hundred dollars if they had called me to check (we had a cell phone and were expecting his call all day long). Since this place seemed to me to be the only RV repair shop in town, if I were still in town I would consider giving them another try, but I'd be very clear upfront with how much the evaluation fee would be and how much time they would spend doing diagnosis. read more

They were very pleasant and quickly fixed our motor home even though they were very busy. The price was better than we expected.

The furnace in my RV quit working while still under warranty. I called "Marty" and told him the symptoms and he said it sounded like the motor was the issue and to bring it in the next day and "we will take care of you." I showed up at eight in the morning and "Marty" wasn't there. The homeless looking "service tech" said "You need a new motor" and refused to do any warranty work unless I paid for it. The warranty clearly states that I would not be reimbursed if I paid. So, they ripped me off for $50 on a "diagnostics" when we already knew what the issue was. If "Marty" would have told me they weren't going to honor Suburban furnace warranties, I would have never gone there and would suggest to anyone to go to Pierce RV in Billings instead for better service, customer relations and a clean, friendly staff. I gave them one star because I couldn't post this review with zero stars. read more

After going to this man (owner) at his shop, just to ask a coupla questions, and to try to schedule a time for him to come "take a look at my own RV"; he treated me very shabbily, and just WALKED AWAY FROM ME, and LEFT ME STANDING THERE in his office, while he went to tend to another customer!! I will NEVER send a client to this guy, even though I have many of my own customers at my own resort who may need his type of services from time to time, but most assuredly won't send them to this guy!! He has absolutely NO MANNERS, is UNFRIENDLY, and tends to TREAT YOU LIKE YOU ARE HIS SUBORDINATE (I'm nearing 70 this fall)! read more

Our inverter stopped working in our RV in Yellowstone. Called Park County and was told to come on down, they would look at it. As soon as we arrived, they made time to help us asap. It needed replaced, they found one at a decent price in Seattle and had it shipped overnight. They let us stay overnight in their lot and even hooked us up to power for the night. Part arrived the next morning and by noon, they had us on our way back to Yellowstone. We were very impressed with the work ethics, the knowledge, the friendly people that worked there and their honesty. Their boss Marty watched over everyone and double checked to be sure the job was done correctly. He was very accommodating. I highly recommend Park County Rv, Inc.
