This is a newer event center in Sioux Falls. The Stampede play hockey here and they host various concerts. The sound is really good inside the arena. It has a nice layout with lots of bathrooms. There is a large parking lot. It is attached to the convention center. I have watched several concerts here and many hockey games. Great venue! read more

I've been to quite a few great events at the Denny and have loved every experience, Chris Stapleton was no didn't! However, at the end of our event tonight.. we were shoved out of the restroom area waiting for a significant other of our group. When we stated we were waiting for a group member we we're told "I don't care"." Following this encounter we watched a "security" member SHOVE a non-aggressive patron out the door with no reason necessary who was waiting for their mother in the restroom, while there were plenty of other persons still in the bathroom area waiting for their group. Overall, I certainly think these situations could have been handled more professionally and not in a manner of abuse of power from the security personnel. Do better. read more

I am very proud to have such a wonderful venue in Sioux Falls. Since the Sanford Center has open I've been to a few concerts and rodeos. I have been very impressed at each visit. For one the venue is just amazing to view from when you walk in to when you take your seat for a performance. Ticket prices are pretty much in line with what I would expect for bigger shows which I appreciate. Often times at large arenas tickets are much to high so it is refreshing to have affordable options. Getting into the venue is easy. Even during large events my wait time to find my seat has always been minimal. The staff obviously run the tickets through quickly and efficiently. It's really fun to see so many vendors at events and gives another neat dimension to an already fun experience. The center has always been very clean wherever I have sat and there is always a close place to get something to eat or drink. The inside is absolutely breathtaking! From state of the art sound and video/display systems to easy to access seating there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. I really appreciate the diversity in events that we have gotten in Sioux Falls as a result of having a larger venue. We get to see artists and events that one would usually associate with much larger cities. The proof that people enjoy concerts is shown with how fast tickets can sell out. I am excited to see what the future holds for other events that residents of Sioux Falls will be able to attend. read more

I feel horrible for the people that work here. No one had any idea what was going on, where guests were supposed to be, and the poor employees were not given the tools to succeed. Hired security was rude to everyone the entire night for no reason and actively stopped people from going to where the event center employees were telling them to. Literally everyone in attendance was upset with the way we were treated all night. The VIP service advertised was not what we got. The event center employees cut off VIPs from the VIP areas shortly after opening them and forced us to wait to enter at the same time as standard ticket holders, despite the advertised early access. One guest was barred from the bathroom and we were told we couldn't get water to take medication despite the concession stand workers telling us it was okay. After the concert we were rushed out with barely enough time to gather our belongings. An elderly couple was told they couldn't sit and wait for the exit line to dwindle despite clear and stated mobility issues and were denied assistance. We were all yelled at by security to move while we were actively moving even when we were all calm, kind, and sober. Staff was so helpful at the Denny Stanford Premier Center. A group of my friends and I went to the Greta Van Fleet concert, the show was AMAZING! I happened to pass out during the second opener and Bonnie was truly a lifesaver- shout out to her! read more

First off, they schedule 3 events to go on at the same time meaning there is no parking within blocks of this place. Then there is only one stairway to exit the building making for a log jam of people. The concessions are very overpriced. Eat before you go there! Concessions staff is slow and old. read more

First off the parking official the night of Bob Seger is awesome. I think his name is Jason or Josh he does snow removal also.. Keep him he is a great people person!!! The concert was awesome we had a good time. The 8.00 beer sucked as does the 3.00 water. I feel gouged when we can't bring water in from the outside. Then there is the ticket availability. Unless you live in Sioux Falls you are at the mercy of the ticket brokers. This kind of mars the whole experience. But we had to see Bob one last time. read more

I've attended many concerts at a variety of venues around the country. I attended the Paul McCartney concert in May 2016. It's hard to get a good sound mix in a sports arena, but this night, they really got it right. The vocals were easily heard and not drowned out by instruments and drums. Parking is easy and free. I arrived plenty early and got a space near the entrance. I expected a huge congestion following the show, but it was easy to maneuver out of the area. Security was tight and well organized. Staff walked along the lines of people and those with bags that were too large were advised to take them back to their cars. This was done politely and without incident. People were given ample time to do that and resume their place in line. The mayor of the city even worked the line, shaking hands and welcomed attendees to Sioux Falls. Concessions were as expected at a sports arena. Lines were short and food and drinks served quickly. They could probably use more table seating for those who preferred to eat before finding their seats in the arena. Staff were friendly, including security, concessions, and ushers. This was one of my better concert experiences and I would consider the drive to attend another show here if one of my favorite artists were appearing. read more

I love this place and I would definitely come back. The only problem I can think of is that in the Upper Concourse. The problem is that in 205 there are some metal bars witch block the view of the stage. Along with a glass slab that blocks a screen. I'm sure that on the opposite side there is the same problem. This facility is a host for concerts and conventions. I went here to see Imagine Dragons and Grace Vanderwaal. If you have sensitive hearing or a small child you should consider their hearing. Overall this venue is a well-kept, clean, navigational, and fun. 4 Stars from me! read more
