First, I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone number and the mailbox was full. I didn't have an email address either so I had to send in a request through their website and ask someone to call me. When he called back, I mentioned a different quote as an example to the detail I was asking (if the wood they would use is treated cedar) and he immediately said it sounds like a price thing for y'all and we are doing big jobs right now so if you like the other company I suggest you go with them. I was so caught off guard and just said ok I guess we will do that. Needless to say they did not seem like they would be very helpful to someone like me who does not know anything about fences and may need to ask some questions. No amount of being busy should call for that type of customer service.

Detail: We reviewed four companies in the Austin area for a fence extension and automated gate for security purposes. Absolute Fence & Gate were outstanding to work with: they came in cheaper than all other alternatives, were the most responsive with clear communication, and were very knowledgable about the options within our space. Amanda was extremely responsive and helped us scope out our initial ask to coordinate an onsite bid walk quickly and helped sort out billing. Travis helped develop our initial concept for a gate into an efficient, turn-key solution that would abide by local codes and fit within our budget. After clarifying our scope, the project was completed at a lightning pace. They staggered the required demo of our old fence until the day they'd be able to erect the fencing to minimize the amount of time our house was exposed to the street. The work crews were very professional and Travis and his team clearly explained the scope each day and progress updates. In addition, Cade and the gate operator crew were outstanding. They set up the motor and made sure all items were functional tested. They did a terrific job commissioning the equipment and explaining how to use it.
