I had a dental emergency on Memorial Day weekend and they fit me in! Not only that the dentist was gentle! She fixed me right up! I'm changing to this dental practice! Any dental practice that will fit me in on a holiday weekend when I NEED THEM...they have my business! Additionally the practice I was going to advertised they were open...and they weren't! They closed early on that Friday when I called and basically was like we can't see you until TUESDAY!! When I called here on Saturday I spoke with the receptionist told her what was going on...she told me what she thought was going on and called me right back! They have me as client! read more

This practice is incredibly predatory. I went in with a dental emergency and noticed that the intake documents stipulates that their ""treatment plans"" are not going to be confined by your insurance, assuming one is using insurance. Initially I thought nothing of it and planned to say no to any window dressing offered. The "treatment plan" that I received was filled with costs for random fillings even though I was here for an emergency root canal. I stressed that the root canal was all I was going to commit to, and I had to defend this decision across multiple appointments. The front desk even called the dentist back in to try pressure me into getting more work done. Conveniently, they suddenly deemed a few of the fillings "non-priority" even though they were ready to bill me for them. I still said no and my wishes were only respected after I fought for it. As far as the care I received, my experience with dentist was sarcastic and uncommunicative. I didn't know what was happening or what to expect during the procedure. I had to specifically request my medicated toothpaste that I was prescribed because they didn't hand it to me after my second or third appointment. Incidentally this happened after I denied the extra work in my treatment plan. When I went to another dentist and got a second opinion, he was confused at the need for extra fillings and mentioned that my teeth were in great condition. Overall I did not feel considered, respected, or cared for in this process, and I do not recommend for anyone else to go to this practice. read more

I initially had a terrible experience when I visited Dr. Nada Elsadig's office due to a broken dental crown. I was attended to by Dr. Luke Navarro, who removed the damaged crown and extensively drilled the molar tooth beneath it. Later that evening, after the effects of the novocaine had diminished, I began to suffer from severe pain near the crown, necessitating the daily intake of six ibuprofen tablets for relief. I returned to Dr. Navarro regarding the ongoing pain. That evening, I sent a message to Dr. Navarro indicating that I had developed a deep cut in my gum near the temporary crown. He arranged for me to come in on two days later. During that visit, Dr. Navarro photographed the temporary crown and the surrounding area, discovering that the crown was indeed cutting into my gum and causing pain. He removed the temporary crown and made adjustments, attributing the issue to his assistant who had initially placed it. However, he failed to ensure that the crown fit properly before allowing me to leave the office. He also provided several explanations for the pain I was experiencing, suggesting that a root canal was likely unavoidable. These explanations were never provided to me until that day. Additionally, I observed that Dr. Navarro did not wash his hands during any of my three visits. While he occasionally used hand sanitizer before donning gloves, there was at least one occasion when he did not use sanitizer at all. He shook my hand and immediately put on gloves before proceeding to place his hands in my mouth. Before my first appointment with Dr. Navarro, I experienced no discomfort in the tooth beneath my crown. However, following the extensive drilling performed by Dr. Navarro and his failure to ensure that the temporary crown fit correctly, I have endured severe pain for several weeks. Consequently, I will now incur additional expenses to rectify the issue. Dr. Elsadig and Christina, the office manager called me immediately after my complaint. They were extremely sympathetic and apologetic. Dr. Elsadig and Christina went above and beyond and provided me an amazing solution to the issue I experienced at the office. I have never met a dentist or office manager as nice, friendly, and caring about their patients. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. NADA ELSADIG! If you go to this dental office, please see her! read more

Unfortunately Dr. Duckett sold his business and he's no longer practicing. He was mindful of not overcharging and providing the best quality for the patients. All his outstanding reviews of this practice went to the current owners. I don't understand why they still use his image if he's no longer practicing there. Dentacrafters owners are very aggressive about upselling you treatments you didn't ask for. A simple teeth cleaning appointment turns into a $700 bill. They propose the most expensive treatment first instead of most effective. Overcharging customers is a routine procedure here. I no longer trust the doctor there. My longtime dentist retired and so I asked around for a referral from friends. The best recommendation was for Dr. Duckett. I actually opted for his practice partner, Dr. Nada. First, the place has just been rennovated. It is spotless. The staff was welcoming and professional. I saw Dr. Nada. She warmly explained her backround. She asked questions about who I am and what I wanted. She was thorough and explained everything that I needed, but wasn't pushy. She discussed the things that need to be done and those things that could wait. She showed me on the images what needs work and walked me through how she could fix it. Dr. Nada also personnally cleaned my teeth. I prefer this, as the dentist gets to know what's going on. The staff presented me with a list of what Dr. Nada discussed, including a estimate of my insurance and my payments, so that I know what to expect. I've found my new dentist. read more

Have the biggest ick after receiving service here. As a young adult, I was looking for a new dentist in a new city and found DentaCrafters. Was very clear that I wanted any services to be covered by insurance. They were very aggressive in their assessment, recommending replacement of several fillings and recommending crowns on back teeth. (I've had regular dental visits every 6 months up to this point with no recommendations from old dentist for any of this work). After agreeing the the new fillings, I was given an estimate of insurance coverage and paid the balance. I'm now receiving a several hundred dollar bill saying their insurance estimate wasn't accurate. When I decided to push off the crown procedure, they made me feel if I didn't get it done asap I'd have trouble soon. At no time did I feel that they really had my best interest at heart. I'm so disappointed and wish I would have listened to my gut about this place from the start. I would not recommend them to anyone and will do my best to tell anyone who will listen not to go here. an update after getting crowns less than a year later - after visiting my new amazing dentist, i found out that this woman installed a completely wrong sized crown for my tooth, where now food is getting caught in between my teeth. I cant imagine why an "experienced" dentist would do this. it has cost me more money down the line. do yourself a favor and dont come here for crowns. they take your money and apparently dont care. there are plenty of other dentists around the falls church area who have more knowledge and will give you better care and a better experience overall. read more

My wife and I had been going to the same dentist. When that dentist retired I followed her (my wife, not the dentist) to Dr. Duckett and Dr. Nada. The facilities are spotless and have all the bells and whistles of modern-day dentistry. That includes 3D imaging, handheld dental x-ray machines, and no spit sinks. That is partly due to the office being completely remodeled two weeks ago and mostly due to Dr. Duckett also teaching Dentistry at Howard and wanting to keep abreast of the latest technology. My first visit was simple, I needed a crown reattached. Even so, Dr. Duckett seemed in no rush to get me out of the office. He took the time to thoroughly examine my teeth while focusing on the pathetic stump that needed its crown back. He also make a point to introduce me to other members of his practice and they also seemed genuinely interested in me and my dental health. Stop what you are doing and make an appointment! I just had my first appointment and oh my goodness my teeth have never felt this amazing. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Catherine greeted me with this big smile and helped me with my paperwork and answered all my insurance questions. What a sweetheart she was!!! The assistants all introduced themselves. I hope I get everyone's name correctly Jenny, Monique and Brian walked me through every step and answered all my silly questions what great customer service!!! My hygienist Marana was heaven sent!!! She made sure I was ok and talked to me like we were long lost friends. I did not feel like just another person at the dentist office. This office has ZERO respect for people's time. I scheduled an appointment so that I would have at LEAST an hour before I had to pick up my son from school. Well, I had to wait 30 minutes before being seen by the dentist (who didn't apologize) after her staff repeatedly told her I had to leave in 30 mins. All she said was there was an emergency visit that took longer than expected (okay, then call me to reschedule?) She said we'll split up the appointment so that I could do X-rays and then go get my son and bring him back here for the rest of my appt before I had to then go get my daughter. Not ideal but I go get my toddler son, bring him there and she doesn't see us until it's time for me to then have to go get my daughter from school. She laughs it off says just go get your daughter and bring them both back and we can finish the appointment. It's been 2 hrs now. I bring both kids back and there's no one there. I first discovered Dr. Duckett's office when my SIL's father was in VA for a visit, and needed dental care. Dr. Duckett was the first one in a long line of phone calls to see him, and give him the care he needed, despite not being a regular patient, and being uninsured. Not only is Dr. Duckett great as a person, but also my personal experiences over the past 7 years have all been great. I never had to wait for more then 5 minutes to be seen, the office is open on Saturdays, and Dr. Duckett has always been able see me when I had a tooth emergency (chipped tooth). Also he is very patient at explaining preventative care and procedures, there is a mirror attached to the mount light on the exam chair, so you can see exactly what the Dr. is seeing and talking about.
