The dental hygienist, Brenda, is pleasant and personable, but more importantly, she does an excellent job and provides feedback. I have been going to this clinic for several years and the dentists, hygienist and reception staff are always pleasant and professional. I've never experienced a dentist's office like this one. The interior is fully remodeled, and upon sitting in the waiting space, there's a card that encourages you to request at least two complimentary comforts. I chose orange cream aromatherapy, a cushion for under my knees, a soft blanket, and to watch calming nature videos on the TV above my chair. I didn't know dentistry could feel...luxurious! I've been withholding judgement for several months in order to be fair but I've finally decided to go with my gut. I moved to the area a couple years ago and I needed a new dentist. I've gone to the dentist regularly for my whole life though, I'll admit, I don't floss like I should. I've needed an occasional filling but nothing more. Well, no sooner do I walk through the door than they tell me I need six fillings and a crown. Needless to say I was dubious. As I sat in the consultation room, I noticed that the computer had a dollar amount showing their daily treatment goal. Is that standard dental practice? I have my doubts Anyway, I had the fillings done but I got a second opinion on the crown and the dentist told me that he didn't see anything that needed to be crowned and he wouldn't recommend it since I'm fairly young. I was going to leave well enough alone but what led me to write this review was the fact that when I called to cancel a cleaning appointment because I've decided to switch dentists, the receptionist asked me if I'd like to reschedule and I responded no, to which she HUNG UP on me. They're making it really hard for me to believe that this isn't a racket. read more

If all the dentists look as hot as Dr. Akoplan, more people would be going to the dentist more often.. But anyways let's talk about their care and service. My appointment was 6:40 am, yes thats 6:40 am. They have early and convenient appointments for those who can't miss a day of work. They send reminder text messages the day before and have very up to date technology. They offer panoramic xrays and lifetime teeth whitening. They showed me pictures of areas that needed improvement, which really helped me invest into my treatment plan. Patricia, the technician was so sweet and friendly. The dr and Patricia really made sure to make me feel comfortable. They also have a treatment plan consultant who took the time to discuss benefits and coverage of my procedure. My husband had a problem (pain) in his one tooth; they were nice enough to fit him in today in the afternoon, but could not help him with his pain and tooth problem! We went because of a referral and they were close by. They were going on and on about how he should consider implants for his missing teeth or do dentures. He left there very unhappy and nothing got solved. The Dr. didn't even tap the tooth to see if the pain was "this" tooth or "that tooth". They took Xrays, yes, but again, didn't solve the problem at hand. Won't be going back. read more

I've came to this office for the first time over a year ago. My family referred me here as I just moved back to the area and needed a new dentist. When I made my first appointment I was denied the 50 dollar referral discount since family referred me, I mean it's whatever but looking back was probably the first red flag. At my initial visit I had identified some cavities and two root canals to be addressed. Following that I booked two appointments to do my root canals . This first one the doctor was running behind schedule so we started with the cavities and began the root canal on the second visit. At my initial visit I had explained I'm only around for a month and was assured we have it all done before I left. At my second visit I come to find out I need another and that would not be the case. I booked another visit 3 months out when I'll be back again and was assured it will be finished then and a crown placed . Again I came to find out that I need a another visit since they can't do a crown in one visit something they should've said when we made this treatment plan. Anyways another 3 months pass I return to finish with the crowns, I come to find out my dentist left so I have new dentist to finish the work which is fine except after my visit I found out they billed my insurance as a check up appointment and at that visit they had me take 3 X-rays because they couldn't find my most current x rays since they had to patient files for me. I only realized when the dentist insisted I had no root canal done yet and I told him to check again then did he realize he had all the X-rays he already needed. So I spoke with the office upset that I was charged for a checkup when I was only scheduled to complete my root canals with the crown. They argued since it's a new dentist but how's that my fault they have dentist coming and going from this office so frequently. They agreed to not charge me, but they still billed me for it. The best part ....my crowns still hurt another 3 months later ...and on one occasion the dentist tried to tell me it was due to an incomplete root canal ...but it was really just a terribly fitting crown which has left me with a very uncomfortable bite. I'd avoid this place at all costs they are disorganized and don't really care about their patients except as a source of income. 0 continuity of care. Too top it off they just asked me to come in for another cleaning. No thanks y'all maxed out my insurance,gave me unnecary X-rays, oh and billed my insurances for a visit I never agreed to since I was only there to finish my crowns. read more

After over 5 years, Dental 365, Dr. Hertz which bought the Bridgewater location of Dental Care Somerset, fixed the work that Dr. Alvin Acquino did for free. He redid the first root canal that did not go down all the way and redid the bridge that was double the size and was huge in my mouth and was causing pain. I probably had a law suit because I don't think anyone fixes anything for free but they were wonderful. I just need to go and put a formal report against Dr. Acquino now since I had to live in pain for 5 years. read more

Strange to be giving a dentist establishment 5 stars. But for a 1st dentist visit in years. They made it a welcome experience. The place is very clean and the entire place seem like they just enjoy working together. The thoroughness of each of them made the entire experience from check in to walking out a great experience. For me to have picked that place and then see that one of my family members showed up there for his appt only gave me assurance that I've made a good decision going there. Never been on a reg routine with a dentist. And though my teeth were in great shape. There fun attitudes and profession working relationships helped me decide to take better care of my teeth and visit them as I should. Let's see if they can maintain the 5 stars. read more

Just an FYI for existing patients, they're now charging each patient $18 per visit when you go into the office. They DO NOT tell you this until you walk in the office. They have this little sign up that they tell you to read after they unlock the door to let you in. When they called to reschedule my appointment they didn't mention it or the 5 times they call and text to confirm they didn't mention it. And if you have to come back to get a cavity filled etc even if it's the next day you have to pay another $18 again. They state it's due to the PPE and office upgrades . I asked the hygienist how often they get new N95 masks and she said ONCE A WEEK! Lol I understand the need to charge something but to intentionally not tell your patients prior to when a lot of people are hurting financially is Bad Business. They also said that other places are charging $55 dollars a patient and I've spoke to numerous people who had zero charges at their dentists. Not to mention an overwhelming response on my page from former employees and patients stating they're all about money and don't recommend them. I will be switching dentists and I've been going here for a few years. Only positive thing is Katia and Mackenzie the hygienists are AMAZING! The poor management of a company shouldn't be reflected on their great staff. read more

I was looking for a new dentist with more convenient hours for my children. Dental Care of Somerset used to have that convenience. Over the past 3 years, they have had more rescheduling of appointments than the original appointments themselves. They are completely unapologetic when it comes to calling and pushing your appointment out months at a time. They also don't mind calling at the last second to change your appointment to one that suits their convenience. I have also never seen a dentist's office with such a high turnover of doctors and staff. Every time we go, it's different people. If you want consistency and convenience, this is not the place to go. read more

I had a most terrible experience with these people and their practice. Please consider my review very carefully and factually. I've had positive experiences in the past with them but after what they did to my son I can longer trust them and will never return. My son is 15 years old and was complaining of tooth pain. I brought him in and they coerced me into purchasing their in-house insurance plan which is a rip-off. Forgive me, but when my son is in pain the only thing that matters is getting him out of pain, so I agreed to it. Then they come back out to tell me that he definitely needs TWO root canals - one on the left side and another root canal on his right side. I waited for almost 4 hours in the waiting room!! FOUR hours! I was checking in on things occasionally, of course, and the Dentist told me "major work, VERY complex root canal. He will need crown lengthening procedure." I was very wary at this point. What the heck is that? I quickly researched the crown lengthening and it seemed like a very dangerous and painful experience. It was time for a second opinion. After they put on the temporary crown and feeling very strongly against their recommendation for crown lengthening, I went for a second opinion AND: #1 - No root canal necessary on the right. Just a cavity to be filled. #2 - absolutely NO crown lengthening needed. Having a second opinion saved me over $6,000.00 I told a friend of mine the story and - wow - coincidentally enough one of her friends had to be taken away from their office in an ambulance because the Dentist injected the novacaine into her sinus! (But that's not MY experience) and after hearing that story I am so glad I had decided never to return. read more

After 7 years of being seen by ordinary dentists, I finally found an excellent dental care clinic! I was a new patient, and like most people, I researched the reviews and ratings before I went. Their readily accessible online 'New Patient forms' were so easy to complete and submit, it only took me 10 minutes. On the day of my visit, I first met Teyana, front desk staff, she was very friendly and respectful. The wait was too long, probably over 30 minutes. Lisa asked me to accompany her to the back office and obtained a thorough history from me, she had an unforgettably nice personality, she then introduced Amanda and gave her a verbal briefing of my history in my presence, and explained that Amanda would be taking my X-rays. Amanda was also very nice and very courteous to make sure that I was always comfortable with the procedure at all times. Her beautiful personality kept a smile on my face the whole time. After she completed her series of imaging she took me to see see the hygienist, whose name was Reggie. Amanda introduced us and briefed Reggie on my history. He was very professional in explaining every step of the procedure. He gave me a complete cleaning, oral cancer screening test, and fluoride treatment. There I met my gorgeous and intelligent dentist, Dr. Indelicato. Reggie briefed her in my presence and her very nice, friendly, professional, caring, and above all, knowledgeable character won me over very quickly. She detected a potential problem and quickly gave me preventative measures of reversing something that could possibly get worse. Her judgement was very efficient and unique, as previous dentists had never mentioned anything similar. Once Dr. Indelicato was finished with my check up, Reggie introduced me to Luis who took my impressions for a retainer, he too was very nice. My experience was so positive that my husband changed his New patient appointment, in order to be seen by the same team. I highly recommend this clinic and I congratulate HR for hiring such marvelous people! Thank you for giving me a positive patient experience. I look forward to future visits. Katya was the best dental hygienist I ever had and enjoys explaining. Dr. Armen Akopian was very professional, attentive, and highly skilled yet made me feel at ease and not stressed. I have to say I was very disappointed it how I was treated on my last visit, or should I have non visit as I was not able to get serviced for what I came for. I began going to this office as I had a tooth that needed to be pulled and the initial visit was delightful. During my second visit to the office I encountered a worker name Dawn who was rude unprofessional, and aggressive, and I am almost sure that I would not be the first person to say this. As she raised her voice to tell me I have a balance, and that said balanced needed to be taking care of now. I informed her that I did not have the full balance and would be willing to pay on it a little at a time until that balance was paid off, but that didn't sati Dawn as she stated again I told you how much this would be during your initial visit, and this balance needs to be paid .Again I explained to her i'm currently not working and have no problem paying for my services, but was not able to pay my complete balance , but would try to have it paid by the end of June. Fast forward to my July visit for my cleaning and filling and the office Manager Nicole had a tech walk into the room to ask me about my current balance which I thought was totally was I sit in the exam chair waiting to be seen. I explained to the tech I am still working on the balance and will continue you to pay a little at a time. The tech returned and stated that they would not be able to see me. This is a no no for me has I had a balance of 1800 dollars and now it was down to 600 so I had been paying little by little and had every intention to pay this off. If they had a problem with my balance why schedule me, or why not call me for my visit and state we need your balance paid off prior to your visit. I AM COMPLETLY DONE WITH THIS OFFICE AND PRAY THAT THE UNPROFESSIONALISM THAT SIT AT THEIR FRONT DESK DOESN'T LAND THE IN DEEP TROUBLE ONE DAY. read more

The second I walked into the office I immediately got bad vibes and knew what kind of place this was . But what the heck..free consultation. Anyway I went to check in and they told me no such name exists in our system. "Are you sure you got the right dental office?" Making me think I'm crazy. I took out my phone and showed them the appointment reminders on my text messages. I'm like this is your practice right? They kept saying that's weird but I'll squeeze you in. So I walk in to get x-rays. As I walked by I saw a bunch of patients with their mouths opened getting drilled lol. Each room had no door. No privacy. So much conversations going on not very quiet or private practice. Weird noises coming from customers mouths as I passed each room. Felt crowded . Dr. Aquino kept telling me I did not have pain, and he sent me to an Endodontist who charged me $600 and told me she could not see anything with the cap on and only saw me for 15 minutes. Well now I have seen a real Endodontist and guess what? They took a CT scan of my entire mouth for $250 could see all the roots of my teeth. It is my opinion that Dr. Aquino and the Endodontist split the money. The tooth upper left Dr. Aquino got so bad I had to have a root canal and I had a swollen gland and an ear ache. Too bad you didn't pay attention to me. Then the two root canals you did bottom right that I kept telling you hurt, both of them didn't go to the end of the nerve. This just confirms that you were not listening to me. The cap you made is huge and uncomfortable and you had no right to glue it in permanently before I got a chance to see if it fit right. In fact you were told not to do that. I ended up having gum disease because you did maybe two cleanings in two years. You never told me I had gum disease? I should get a lawyer against you. You make assumptions against people when they have real pain. I only gave you two stars because you did do one of the cleanings for me, still with no mention of gum disease. read more

To be honest I have not been to too many different dentists in my life to have a full frame of reference....but I can say that the people here are nice and professional and they get the job done. The TV's are a very nice touch too! What I like the most about this office is that they are open until 8 so I don't have to waste a day off to get my teeth cleaned. read more

First, their unique way of answering their phone, (how can I make you smile today?) is a pleasant and hopeful way of sharing that they are very individualistic, caring and we know that going to a dentist is not the most pleasant place to be. When I had my appointment, that was only magnified wonderfully by the following. Beside a very clean professional setting, Abby was assigned as my hygienist. She was wonderful in many ways, gentle, easy to understand, very personable, always making sure you are following what is being said she is professional/knowledgeable, a very hard combo to find and above all a good listener. When I meet the doctor he was friendly, able to take a joke, crystal clear as he explained things, and pleasantly down to earth without betraying his profession or his status. At the end, I was set into a room where Amana would go over the billing, this is a new experience for me, and nice to see that even that was guided. Yes, I would easily recommend their services to anyone, keeping in mind that even if there is a visit where things do not go smoothly, things like that happen life, we can know that their hearts and abilities are a secure foundation. I came here because they're close to my house. They're the worst of the worst. They're all rejects. Whole entire office. From reception to the people who call themselves doctors. They start working on your teeth today and 3 years and $50,000 later your mouth is still not done. All my friends got implants from other places and they are beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough, feels like family when I walk in, the dentist & techs are great and make you feel less uneasy about the dentist visit. I particularly like how high tech the equipment they use are. The hours are perfect for a full time working woman like myself, open late on weeknights & on the Weekend. Upon making an appointment I asked if they took my insurance. They said yes, but if there are any issues we will let you know. When they called to confirm my appointment I asked again to make sure and they said yes everything is good. After waiting for 15 minutes in the empty waiting room they told me I had a 50$ deductible. I said that must be wrong and after going to double check while I was sitting in the chair about to get started the woman from the front comes up to me and tells me that I am responsible for over 100$ for my cleaning bc they are out of network. That's when I got up an walked out. I don't do business that way. I had a bad feeling when I got there and saw quite a few people doing nothing. To me that says the need business and money and we're going to try and hit me up. No integrity. I would avoid at all costs. read more

I'm a new patient there and I didn't know what to expect from them but once I walked through the door there was a nice atmosphere and the staff there was very friendly and care that they did was different but better than other dental care clinic I've been to. This will probably be more of an ongoing review because I have some work to be done by them. The last time I went to the dentist- years ago- I cried. I cry every time I pull in the parking lot of a dentist office. My husband finally convinced me this is the place to break the horrible dentist experience spell. He was right- so far!! The people at the front desk were like camp-counselor friendly! I love that I explained everything to them and they relayed it to everyone else so I didn't have to repeat myself! Everyone was so kind. They assured me it was a 'judgement' free zone and I really felt the sincerity from everyone. They wanted me to have a good experience and I certainly did. I'm having a follow up appointment with Dr. Ali to come up with a plan of action and I'm actually looking forward to it. He answered my millions of questions and really put my mind at ease. I even think I stopped my nervous foot shaking after a few minutes with him. One thing that I saw that I really liked- Dr. Edwards came in to see Dr. Ali to get his opinion on a course of action for another patient. For doctors- this is a good practice.
